I'm thinking about EAH putting on an "event", perhaps a charity ball type thing, where there are students from any class attending (because you don't not invite certain important people lest they choose to curse you and your baby) but it's still graded on the basis of performance counting towards extra credit in various subjects (dance, wooing, princessology, etc).

Only you don't choose your own partner.

It's a bit like the teachers pairing you up for a group project with other people in the class, but the metric they are using to decide who gets partnered with who is based on the Ballroom Dance portion of the evening. As your ideal Ballroom partner is meant to be the same or similar height to you (you're supposed to be able to see over their shoulder, though generally the person being spun should also be short enough to go under the arm).

Which is where ship pairings come in.

Obviously, as a Dexven shipper I'm thinking about Dexter and Raven being around the same height. Maybe they were paired up together originally and Dexter had to do some smooth talking to stay paired up with Raven because someone balked at the idea of placing Raven with a Prince Charming (especially when his extra credit class is Advanced Wooing), or maybe he was originally paired with Duchess but Duchess made a fuss of some sort about Dexter being a bad dancer in the practice dance they had and Raven gets defensive (jealous) and does a practice dance with Dexter to "prove" that Duchess is the problem (inadvertently earning extra credit points for one of her villain classes for stealing someone else's prince) and getting paired with Dexter instead(I think that one would need a meaner-than-canon Raven given she'd be roleplaying a villain part to even do that in the first place, as the Prince dances and professes his love to someone who is not the Swan Princess in Swan Lake. Poor Duchess).

Meanwhile, Apple is having a crisis of her own because she and Daring aren't height matched and that's just feeding into her preexisting insecurities about her looks as she believes it implies she's not good enough for her role if she doesn't match her Prince Charming. Like maybe the two of them did get paired together anyway for that reason and Apple is still a little short despite that and whatever heels she's already wearing.

Or maybe they didn't get a chance to try as Apple and Darling get paired together since EAH has more girls than boys. And Darling gets to play the part of Prince Charming comforting the upset princess, and slowly falling in love, while Apple is perhaps too caught up in "destiny" to realise that she might not be straight (or rather rejects the few glimpses she does have during the dance when she does let herself have some fun because she's too scared by the fact she doesn't know how taking that chance at happily-ever-after would turn out).

Hmm, in a bit of a conundrum here. Minecraft has usage guidelines for hand-crafted products, you are allowed to sell 20 units of the same design and can make up to $5,000 a year on Minecraft merch (pretty annoying that you can sell as many Minecraft books as you want but only 20 stickers of original art but bah!!!!! whatever). Now the problem I have is with the same design or "substantially similar" designs. So, like are these

"substantially similar" designs? I think I am probably straddling the line here. The silhouette is the same but I redid all the coloring and shading from the ground up, only using the same original sketch as a base (though I'm not sure that really matters...). Minecraft seems pretty responsive to fans, so I would email to ask for clarification. But this might be a scenario where it's better to ask forgiveness than permission. Being a small shop I would probably skirt under the rader, but I would like to be on Minecraft's good side. They one of the few games companies that have a fan merch policy which is really cool! Maybe abiding by Minecraft's would encourage more companies to implement a fan merch friendly policy!

The plan right now is create a "chicken gacha" of all the colors of chicken from Minecraft Earth (and april fools day designs). But if I can only sell 2 of each design then I don't want to waste my time painting all these chickens. I don't know..... any advice/input?

theres such a different perception of music when compared to art and writing. its accepted that "amateur" stuff can be really really good for art and especially for writing (bc fanfic) even though we know its okay that it wont always be, but NOT music — people are so reluctant to listen to "amateur" music even though holy shit, SO much of it is SO good.

ive noticed that when i post songs from bandcamp, they often do a lot better when its an artist that i know people know. songs that are by the garages will get notes... on the other hand, songs that were also released by the garages in ways where posting it on here does not display the name "the garages", such as the songs from away games or blattle of the band? don't get notes. and consistently, songs that i post by artists who are not affiliated with the garages OR just not OBVIOUSLY associated with the garages, those dont get any notes at all!

this isn't a criticism or anything, i just wonder... like, why? why are people reluctant? are we scared? what is it? what's going through our heads when we decide not to listen?

but like... what's the worst that could happen, you know?

now that the week is done I can finally talk about my current rewatching of the first two seasons of House (I won't watch more. Seasons 3 and 4 are my favorites and if I get to them I might just keep going through to the end and I do not have the time)

and anyway my main takeaway is that a) the fandom doesn't talk about Foreman enough. Foreman is the best character of the show. Ok no he isn't it's Cuddy but he's also pretty good he's my favorite of the team including House. Where is the love for Foreman on this website. How everybody inexplicably keeps saying he's too much like house when he literally isn't. Every day he gets angry at people being racist to him and people call him grumpy and stubborn. Which he is but like. Not like House At All. DW dude you're literally the only good doctor on the team and also you're a smug bastard I love you. How literally every single disease so far was brain-related and he's the brain doctor. What are Chase and Cameron even doing there. Their contributions so far were so intermittent

b) the way my memory of this show had completely erased Chase off of the show is so funny paired up with every single episode finding out some other unexpected personality trait of his. He's literally so bad it's captivating. Like what do you mean he was briefly a dom and was in the New Jersey BDSM scene. What do you mean he said a 10 year old with obesity deserves to die cause she did it to herself. What do you mean he had sex with Cameron when he knew she was off her tits in meth and knew this was bad. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE KISSED A 9 YEAR OLD ON THE LIPS.

Practiced, his hands found their way to his workbench. Feeding her always made his head get fuzzy, only in the best ways, but the support helped. It wasn't that she ever took too much, more so the sheer delight of helping her, satisfying her in a way no one else could. It overtook him.

There he stood in a practiced position. "Go on then, feed to your heart's content."

Been seeing a bunch of people on my book of faces trying a thing called Lensa, where apparently you upload a bunch of selfies and it spits them back out looking like art from a bunch or eras and styles. and it looks interesting, but with all the stuff going on with AI art…does anybody have a copy of their privacy/user agreement? Does it say whether it’s scraping these uploaded faces for any sort of purpose?
