Did you know that Ana Amari, which happens to be one of my favourite heroes, has ties with Poland? :) She was part in an anti-Talon operation taking place in a ruined polish city. That's where the duel between her and Widow maker happend; Widow shoot Ana, who hesitated upon seeing Amelie's face, thru the scope of her rifle, right into her cybernetic eye. Ana's body was not found on the scene and she was believed to be dead. Actually, she got rescued and were getting treatment in a polish hospital, after being given a fake alias of Janina Kowalski (note: polish last names are also gendered, so it should be Kowalska, but it's a minor detail). She was treated by some Dr. Lee, and tried to recover from amnesia. She did eventually and the rest is history. All of this was revealed thanks to Sombra's arg game btw.

Also, in the polish ver of ow, Ana got an exclusive voice lane/easter egg that's a nod to an extremly recognized polish voice-overer/lektor - Krystyna Czubówna. She's known by narrating nature documentaries and she ends all of them by saying "read by: Krystyna Czubówna". In her voice line ana says a fun fact about desert animals and ends it by "read by: Ana Amari"... Cute little detail :)

I've been thinking about bastion and how they could be utilized in the story a lot and i have this idea. bastion is clearly haunted by the events of the omnic crisis and its obviously meant to be shown as PTSD. overwatch has a huge plot point of omnics achieving sentience, gaining (or rather finding) a soul and giving up on their original programing to live amongst the humans. bastion is now under Torbjorn's care, and overwatch is coming back together. so I though, what if Torbjorn rejoined overwatch, bringing Bastion with him. Genji's been shown to respond to the call, so let's assume Zenyatta also joins (i hope so!!!!!). Bastion's issues are shown and believed to be a fault of their programing, and Torb is trying to fix it. What if his efforts were helping, but not fully, not in the way it "should" fix everything, like a core part of Bastion is still pained and no amout of Torbs work seems to simply get rid of it, which is frustrating as it "makes no sense". Then Zen would approach Bastion, inviting them to meditate and try to heal with him, like he once offered Genji. And THEN there wpuld be an actual improvement with Bastion, only where Both the Machine and the Soul aspects of them get acknowledged. It doesn't completly like, heal them, obviously thats not how PTSD works, but when incorporating both repairs and therapy Bastion begins to find peace. Like, it's a way to show to the sceptical that omnics truly are more than just a machine - even a bastion unit, who was brought into existence solely for war. I wpuld also be happy because more Bastion content. And i reaaally want to see Zen interact more with other omnics like Bastion and Orisa. Also i want Bastion to have a little garden for themself and Ganymede (their bird) that they can tend to with Genji and Zen and Mei etc etc... This is just honestly an excuse for me to get more bastion and zen lore tbh LOL but a girl can dream

And both of these perspectives are awful in different ways, because the reality is that straight trans people don't occupy the societal position of straightness, and we really are straight. Just thinking about how Reyna would've felt upon hearing that her once best friend, died tragically saving a god, and that she would never see him again.

Just thinking about how Jason dies with the guilt of not properly reconciling with his old friend.

Just thinking about how Reyna lives with the guilt of keeping her distance from him because of that wretched warning Venus gave her. Maybe if she had not, would they have been together? Would they have atleast remained best friends? Would they have not grown apart?

Just thinking about how Reyna looked like she'd been crying for hours during Jason's funeral.

Just thinking about how they both knew their friendship would never be the same again but refused to confront that bitter reality, so they ran away from it.

Just thinking about how they never even shared one last hug together.

Just thinking about how in the end, both of them most likely only had bittersweet memories of eachother, and that neither of them got to say their final goodbyes.
