Was anyone else terrified of the scene in The Last Mimzy (the absolute acid trip of a kid's film from 2007 that I loved more than anything as a kid) where Noah sets off the blue thing and causes a blackout?
This blue thing here that I believe the director called a "gelatinous mass"? (Excuse the quality, iTunes doesn't allow screenshots of movies.)
Cause I HATED that thing and it made such a lasting impression on me that I still struggle to watch that scene sometimes even now as a hecking adult.
Anyway, now you know the inspiration for one of the creatures from my books.

*This is a work of Satire, brought on by my dislike for certain types of art tutorials on a certain social media that rhymes with Sinner Cam. I do not genuinely believe any of this. Heck I don't even do or use some of the stuff in these lists.*
According to the Art Tutorial part of the internet, there are only:
Three artstyles:
Realism (the only valid one)
Anime (the cringe one, like what are you, 12? Weeb)
Child (which is only acceptable for people between the ages of 2 and 9)
Two drawing apps:
Clip Studio Paint
Procreate
(Free apps? What are those? We only accept paid apps that may or may not be exclusive to certain operating systems here)
Two subjects:
People (the only acceptable option in all forms)
Landscapes (preferably with at least one person in them so that you know it's drawn by someone Normal! Because nobody draws JUST a landscape, that would mean you hate people! Ha! Right! Get out of here, freak!)
Two types of artists:
Good
Bad (If you draw anything other than Perfect Realism you are automatically Bad. All artists must draw Realism. It is the only art form that will Get You Somewhere, after all. You can't get money, the only acceptable goal for an artist, by drawing cartoons or weird humanoid animals, after all. Those are only for degenerates.)

Maybe it's just because I'm a furry but I still can't believe that some old genuinely-trying-to-be-educational sources treat certain animals as horrible. Like I literally have an encyclopedia from 2005 that describes hyenas as "the least pleasant animal of the savannah".

I swear sometimes dealing with anthros, reptiles in particular, is is the absolute worst because you look at a creature that is nearly perpetually-cross eyed with a ridiculous pelican mouth and weird little crescent moon hands that have no resemblance to humans' outside of having five fingers and you really go "Yep I'm going to make a guy out of this and keep drawing him until my brain gets sick of him"

I love taking a bunch of people that should look the same and then deciding to make them look different...
... and then forgetting to draw in the details that make them different.

So I screwed up the alt text on Win's birthday post. Fixed it but wanted to share what it originally said...
... which was Beautiful to read because I immediately thought of Win forming a heart shape out of literal hand symbols (being mildly associated with the Wingdings font through a convoluted process after all).
