my thoughts: i think this is kaminari and bakugou? yes!!  it think it’s cute i am loving their canon interaction a lot i love every teas baku relationship lol kaminari has no fear of him and thats great xD

when I started shipping it if I did: well i don’t ship them per se but i loved their dynamic from the start :)

what makes me happy about them: canon interaction just give me more ok 

things done in fanfic (or in general, fandom) that annoys me: ppl trying to ehh prove or OPEN our eyes that bakugou does not only get along with kirishima but with kaminari as well smh dude we know no need for call out posts

things I look for in fanfic: not reading any specific ship fics so idk

who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: oh i love kaminari x jirou so that’d be great and baku…i just headcanon him to be ace soooo HE DOES NOT NEED ANYONE

tanaka complains about not receiving chocolate to his fellow second years when ennoshita coolly and smoothly hands him a box on bonbons. "here you go, now you got honmei chocolate." (no one is really surprised by this point, but for tanaka who has a mental meltdown) ennoshita gets his reply on white day.

Ha ha ha, it’s a little something special for kurodai weekend which I’m pretty certain will turn into a multichapter… b/c I have no restraint. Here’s a sneak peek!

Walking softly to the Prince’s bedside, he gazed down at his sleeping form for a moment, hearing Nekomata’s prophetic words in his head.

He will be the one to unite all the Kingdoms.

Such a tall order for a Prince who looked more like a turtle with the sheets pulled up above his nose. Kuroo tugged it down to reveal Daichi’s face and giggled at the line of drool escaping his open lips.

Oh god, it’s gotta be Mitsuhide. No way that big bear of a man doesn’t sound like a 757 flying into an airfield.

Izana hands out the candy. The full sized bars. Butterfingers. Milky way. Snickers. Hersey’s. He’s got them all. He considers it bribes for the neighborhood kids should he ever need to curry favor. 

Mitsuhide goes out with the kids and he always ALWAYS dresses in theme with whatever their kids picked out.

- who goes to parent teacher conferences

Izana is PRESIDENT of the PTA. He’s got his fingers in all the pies. Mitsuhide comes to the conferences, though, to frown worryingly when someone gets an A- on one of their tests. He also has deep concerns about the plate lunches that the school provides. How are those three leafs of lettuce on his sons plate conductive to a growing brain? They need more nutrients!

- who packs a lunch for the other to take to work

Mitsuhide all the way. He even wears a cute little aprons and listens to Taylor Swift as he’s making them.

- leaves clothes all over the floor/in the laundry basket vs who puts them away

Neither? I’m going to go with neither here. Izana is far too fastidious and Mitsuhide far too contentious to leave clothes all over the floor.

- who organizes the DVDs and books

Izana. He finds the process of organization soothing.

- who has a million magazine subscriptions

Hmmmmmm… I wanna say between the two of them, they have a small tower of magazines in the living room. Mitsuhide has stuff like Sports Illustrated and Backpacker while Izana subscripts to the Economist and Forbes at the very least. 

- who has a name for the stray neighborhood cat

Mitsuhide. And all the stray cats for five blocks have him tagged for a sucker that will feed them. And he does. He has a bag of kibble in the garage that Izana sighs at whenever he sees it, but knows that MITSUHIDE CAN’T LET THE POOR BABIES STARVE T_T

- who walks around naked at night and forgets the living room window is open

Mitsuhide, definitely. And it’s always on the way for a midnight snack. The neighbors across the way never complain, tho :3

One moment her feet are planted in the dirt; the next it’s her knees. And then her spine is arching and she’s emptying Suzu’s lovingly-rendered picnic into the space between her hands bracing her against the earth.

It could have been worse, is all she can think. She might have just fainted. But then there wouldn’t be spittle and acid dripping down her chin, now would -

She heaves again. And then there’s the touch of hands smoothing up her forehead, scraping tendrils of her hair out of the way while her eyes and mouth burn, her chest snarls into one great stone knot. The touch is ice smoothing against a fever. One of Obi’s hands tugs at her braid, then coils it gently around his fist.

When it’s over, she spits into the dirt, shuddering at what’s left behind. “Is this in the rules?” she rasps, and she’ll feel bad for it later. But for now, she lets Obi wince beside her.

He has no clever quip at hand. Strange, since Shirayuki can actually think of a few good ones right now herself.

“That’s enough for today, Miss,” he says quietly instead.

total number of words you wrote this year

This is far from exact, but 77,600 plus however many of The Last Princess of Tanbarun I want to take credit for. It’s 59k overall, which I drafted last year but revised so thoroughly this year it would be fair to count most of it. So somewhere in the range of 120k?

My AO3 total is pushing 430k, which boggles my mind.

a fic you didn’t expect to write 

It’s not like I ever have any kind of plans, so this is kind of hard to identify, but I think Brought Together By Angels qualifies. I laughed when I had Doctor Who on my bingo board, because not only did I used to be a big fan, I spent quite a while devouring all the fanfic, but it wasn’t in a good line so I only gave it some cursory thought. But then Codango started her Doctor Who AU, and for some reason it inspired me so much I had to get through the story, and I was really thrilled with how it came out. I just reread it yesterday, not having thought about it in several months, and was pleasantly surprised.

I just did my recommendation list last night … selfishly, I’d say everyone should read this Harry Potter bit by thelionshoarde and tell her how intriguing it is so maybe she’ll feel motivated to write more of it.

sensitive negotiations!

This is actually taken from the second draft, which lives in my drafts, because this was GOING to be done for Obiyukiweek, I had it all set for day 3, but it needed SO MUCH editing that I had to post-pone it. It just could not be done in the amount of time I left myself. SIGH.

“Over there.” Her arm swings out toward the spill of icy blue, growing as the sleigh swings closer. “The lake. The jewel of Kaninshala.”

She sways, just slightly, and that when she notices the band of warmth around her waist, the worn white against her Lyrias blue.

“Is that what his lordship says?” Obi’s tone is light, inquiring, but she knows his sarcasm when she hears it, no matter how well masked.

His arm tenses around her, hand pressing firm to the span of her back. She doesn’t think he even notices, no matter how...personally distracting she finds it. No matter how it reminds her of the last time his hand had laid there --

I could just...cut it off, he offers, tugging at her laces, the gold of his eyes molten --

“I thought we might go skating,” she blurts out, trying to blot out the gravel of his voice with her own. “If it’s not too late in the season. Since we seem to have to provide our own entertainment.”

“If we get close today, I can take a look.” Obi’s lips curl up at one corner, wry. “But I wonder what his lordship will call it after.”

Her brow furrows in confusion. “After?”

“After he lures you into being Lady Kaninshala.” He meets her gaze now, in the full light of day, and there’s -- there’s none of that heat, of that secret promise, just his regular spark of mischief. “Or will you just merely be one of the jewels in his --”

“Oh hush,” she huffs, her laugh leaving steam on the air. She twists, sinking back onto the bench. The velvet presses in around her, warming her even without the furs. “Not every lord is trying to find himself a wife.”

“Of course not, Miss,” he says, too easy. “Some of them are trying to find their sons’ wives.”

due to a misunderstanding, tanaka believes that ennoshita (now living in tokyo) is going to marry someone. he bursts the church door open to stop the "city marriage" (lol senpai you said shitty marriage *quote tsukki*), only to realise that ennoshita is actually the best man to a friend's wedding.

SPACE KIKIOBI 👀

I’m going to put this behind a cut because it’s a little gruesome. Content warning for frank discussion of death.

Death is not beautiful in space. It’s not like those old Hollywood movies, two parts beauty, one part tragedy. Organic material is not meant to exist in the vacuum, only to expel it, to break it down into its finite parts. There would be no gentle wrap in a dark shroud of death, the float of hair and clothes in zero gravity, perfectly preserved and floating into eternity.

Fifteen seconds. Fifteen seconds would be all that they had before the lack of atmosphere overwhelmed their system. That left five seconds to experience the water of their skin forced out, to feel their blood shrivel in the veins and capillaries and heart; their body expanding outwards like a balloon meant to be popped. 

That was five seconds too many. Best to die first.

Emma also asked this question lmao.  I’ll pick a different one than the one I picked for her.  I think I gotta go with Complications.  I haven’t written for my superhero au in a LONG time and being able to kick it off again with an EnnoTana fic (my first one!) was a lot of fun.  I can’t wait to get started on chapter two! 

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

Oooo that’s a toughie.... I’m gonna go with this line from my KiyoYui Witch AU “Potions”:"Are you…?" Yui began to ask.  Koushi raised an eyebrow when she paused.  Unable to bring herself to ask, Yui waggled her fingers in the universal symbol for "magic user".
