I won’t claim that the big lake was the 70 degrees it was in August, but the air temperature Saturday was 82, so I eventually took off my hat, sunglasses and Fitbit and went all in. Briefly.
Meanwhile Sharon hopped on her paddle board for one last spin (and also ended up all in). We’ll be back in October to see the fall colors, but by then the waters of Huron will be eminently resistible.
If I’m not mistaken, a September 17 submergence is a new family record.
