Finally Madhuri Dixit Dance on Pakistani girl Ayesha viral Video, Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja. Watch
Finally, Madhuri Dixit danced on Pakistani girl Ayesha’s viral video, “Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja.” Because many people are unfamiliar with this song, we will begin with a brief description of it by Madhuri Dixit.  This song is from 1954s Nagin which was direted by Nandlal Jaswantlal. Emotional song from super hit old classic movie Nagin (1954) starring Pradeep Kumar, Vaijayanti, Mala, Jeevan,…

Why are people not talking about this:
In the Little Mermaid 2023 remake, they changed the setting of the story.
Despite what many believe, the original 1989 animated movie wasn't set in Denmark. Judging by the architecture of Prince Eric's castle, the animals present during Kiss the Girl, and the landscape of the land itself, the movie is set in the European Mediterranean. Disney all but confirmed this in latter years. There were actual theories about Eric's kingdom being in Italy.
In the remake, Eric's kingdom is an island heavily implied to be on the Caribbean sea.
Eric is adopted and his mother, the Queen is super alive in this, and she is black. Grimsby here is portrayed by a Pakistani-British actor, making him ambiguously brown. Carlotta was replaced by a character named Lashana, and she is portrayed by a Trinidadian actress.
The island population is super diverse, with black and brown people everywhere.
They have a tropical climate and the only trees seen are palm trees.
Instead of waltzing when they visit the kingdom, Ariel and Eric dance Caribbean music.
When Eric shows several maps to Ariel, he suspiciously cites the names of a lot of South America countries, like Venezuela and Colombia, implying that the kingdom is closer to these countries than it is to Europe. He even cites my country, Brazil, referred as the Brazilian Empire, which dates the movie from anywhere between 1822 and 1889, when Brazil was indeed an Empire.

Let's talk about Desi representation again!!
I don't talk about this stuff often but when I do, I have some strong ass opinions
and yes I'm gonna be talking about none other than Pavitr Prabhakar at the end cuz he's just special to me <3
Hollywood is lagging behind on Desi representation
You'd think one of the biggest film industries in the world would be able to represent us properly, considering the fact that we make up the largest group of South-Asian Americans and the second largest group of Asian-Americans in the US, but instead-
Western Television forces Indians to conform to harmful stereotypes
Some of the most popular Desi characters on screen are Raj Koothrappali from the Big Bang Theory, Devi Vishwakumar from Never Have I Ever and Kelly Kapoor from the Office.
Indian men are almost always portrayed as robotics engineers and computer whizzes, but with terrible social intellect, making them seem like awkward nerds.
Indian women are almost always portrayed as "whitewashed", or wanting to appear more western, with zero understanding of their own culture or language along with an unrelenting need for attention from white friends/colleagues.
These are both based on stereotypes that Indian culture is "toxic" and "too traditional" and that Indians are only interested in studies.
Most Desi characters in western media have stories that are solely based around their ethnicity and/or racial stereotypes.
British television actually showcases a lot more representation than Hollywood does
I was watching Polite Society, a movie starring two Pakistani characters as the main leads, and there was a dance scene where both the leads are wearing traditional desi attire. My mom turned over, looked at me, and asked, "Is this Hollywood? It can't be."
And she was right. It's a British movie with British-Pakistani actors.
The reason she didn't believe that it could've been Hollywood was because the dresses the two leads were wearing were traditional and beautiful and the song playing in the background was authentic Hindi music, not some random westernized DJ version of it.
A Hollywood movie would've never dressed up their Desi actors in actually flattering attire (*cough cough the Patel twins from Harry Potter) or have used real, popular Desi music in the background.
You see my point?
It is so uncommon to see well-thought-out Desi representation in TV nowadays, where to see real diversity we have to watch movies made by the same country that colonized us.
Ironic.
British movies/shows with desi leads have far better South Asian representation than anything I've seen in Hollywood recently.
The Hollywood movies starring Indian leads, like Slumdog Millionaire or Bend it like Beckham were filmed in the UK, and because they were filmed in the UK, they had fantastic South Asian representation.
Not only does Hollywood refuse to create shows and movies about real problems that South Asians face, but they also don't cast South Asian actors in good roles.
When's the last time you saw a South Asian actor playing a character that wasn't a walking stereotype? When's the last time you saw a South Asian actor playing a character that was a genuine part of the story rather than just comedic relief or a random smart kid in the classroom?
Not often, right?
Me, personally, I didn't grow up with a lot of South Asian characters or actors in shows/movies that I watched. In fact, every time someone even close to my skin color showed up on TV, I was on the edge of my seat because it was just so rare to see it.
This is why representation matters.
You've heard about all the young girls with braids being so excited when the new little mermaid with Halle Bailey came out. Well, us desi kids wanted that too.
I wanted to see a Telugu speaking girl with wavy hair and dark skin who would wear traditional clothing to Desi get-togethers and parties, go to the temple with her family, eat vegetarian Indian meals, etc...
I wanted to see a character who was a representation of me and my experiences as an Indian-American. I wanted to see a character that was at least a representation of Indians or just South Asians in general.
Instead, we were given characters that ridiculed their own culture, were extreme stereotypes and furthered the existence of casual racism in western society today. So many Desi kids experience small acts of racism on a daily basis because people have been so desensitized to the existence of these stereotypes.
Telling South Asians that their culture is a joke and feeding non-asian children media which pokes fun at other cultures is harmful, not only to us South Asians but also communities that could end up being targeted next.
Pavitr Prabhakar; Representation Matters
If you've been following me or if we're mutuals, you probably know I have a tiny obsession with Pavitr Prabhakar. But why?
Because of all the reasons I just listed.
There are few South Asian characters us Desis can look up to these days, and Pavitr Prabhakar is one of the maybe two or three characters who have great writing, magnificent representation, and overall a fun vibe.
He's likable, funny, smart and best of all, unapologetically Desi.
He's just like all the other side characters, with a little bit of his own culture mixed in. He's not being shoved down our throats to further an agenda about fake diversity, he's not a walking stereotype and best of all, he was designed by Indian creators.
He's refreshing and exciting to follow in a world full of a demand for half-hearted representations and the people who created him were obviously putting their hearts and souls into it.
He's awoken a love for Indian culture amongst, not only Desi children themselves but also among westerners who, prior to this, had thought of India as a "3rd world" country, because that's the agenda that Hollywood pushes onto many South Asian countries today.
WE LOVE PAVITR PRABHAKAR!!
This was kinda all over the place but I just had to get this off my chest <3

LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — A court in Pakistan on Thursday allowed investigators to question a man in their custody for four more days about his role in spreading misinformation that sparked widespread rioting in the U.K. earlier this month, officials said.
The court’s decision came a day after authorities charged the suspect Farhan Asif, 32, with cyber terrorism following his arrest from his home in Lahore, the capital of eastern Punjab province.
Asif, who is a freelance web developer, was produced before the court amid tight security. He was not allowed to talk to the media.
Kiran Muqeem, a prosecutor for the Federal Investigation Agency, told the court that Asif did not cooperate with officers after the same court the previous day allowed them to question him for a day. They demanded his custody for two weeks but the court said it would only allow it for four more days.
Muqeem later told reporters that Asif disseminated fake news and caused riots in England.
Asif was handcuffed and wearing blue shalwar kameez garments when brought to the court.
His lawyer Rana Rizwan told reporters that the court remanded his client into the custody of the federal agency in a hurry and without hearing him.
“We were informed by the court that the case of Asif would be taken up after lunch break. But the court took up the matter before the lunch break, and allowed FIA to keep him in their custody,” Rizwan said.
Asif is accused of spreading misinformation from YouTube and Facebook about the British teenage suspect in a stabbing attack that killed three girls and injured 10 other people on July 29 at a dance class in Northwest England.
The false information claimed that the suspect was a recently arrived asylum-seeker and had a name that suggested he was Muslim. After the misinformation led to a violent mob attacking a mosque near the site of the stabbing the next day, police took the unusual step of clarifying that the suspect was born in the U.K.
British media has widely reported that his parents are from Rwanda and are said to have Christian beliefs. Channel3 Now, an account on the X social media platform that purports to be a news channel, was one of the first outlets to report the false name, Ali Al-Shakati.
A Facebook account for the channel said it is managed by people in Pakistan and the U.S. But, officials say Asif was solely running the Channel3 Now, and he spread misinformation to gain more viewers.

Malala Yousafzai by Katherine Krizek
“When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful”
Malala is an activist who since childhood has been speaking out against the prohibition laws on education for young girls. Girls were not allowed to attend school, and activities such as dancing and watching tv were also prohibited. At 11 years old, Yousafzai began to submit online diary entries to the BBC. In “I Am Afraid”, she details her experience as a young Pakistani girl under the Taliban rule.
In 2011, she won the International Children’s Peace Prize and the Pakistani National Peace Prize. One year later, she was shot outside her school and suffered severe injuries. Upon her recovery, she continued her activism and at 16, she wrote the book “I Am Malala”. She went on to win the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought and the Nobel Peace Prize. She founded the Malala Fund, which allowed her to travel to different countries to do activist work and open schools for girls.

Blame It On The Poor Immigrant
The conversation among my work crew is a fairly good reflection of the average discursive exchange happening around the nation at the moment, I reckon. Dressed as we are in high viz gear and steel capped boots ensconced in our work ute on the way to the site. Smoko ramps up with the news of the day and plenty of opinions. One of my erstwhile colleagues, a migrant from the old country, was voicing her support for those kicking up a stink in Britain. Blaming it on too many immigrants coming into the country and receiving special treatment to the detriment of those who really belong there. Blame it on the poor immigrant. Revoking The Commonwealth
This is a popular theme here, there and everywhere, it seems. The cost of living and housing crises are biting a lot of working people on the bum at the moment. Blame it on the new arrivals is a perennial sentiment, especially when they have different coloured skin and look different. The thing about Britain is that for centuries the old empire was out and about taking stuff from lands abroad and enriching itself. Colonising places and imposing imperial rule upon their populations was their main game. Some of those coloured folk, their descendants anyway, have come to the United Kingdom to make it their home. Pakistani’s, West Indian’s,  African’s and plenty from other spots too have settled in England. It might be convenient to have a very short memory but there are consequences to historical actions. Photo by Tima Miroshnichenko on Pexels.com
Righteous Racists Blaming People Of Colour
The race riots have been fuelled by misinformation and lies put about on social media by far right groups and racist individuals with large followings. Andrew Tate, Laurence Fox, Elon Musk and the other fascists pulling the strings. The horrendous stabbing murders of 3 girls and 8 others with knife wounds in Southport were immediately and falsely attributed to a Muslim refugee. In fact, this mentally ill young guy was born in Britain but was of the wrong coloured skin for many of these patriotic Brits online. Hundreds of angry righteous blokes have gone on a rampage attacking refugee centres and mosques around the country. The police have copped it in their attempts to defend innocent people and maintain law and order. This is not really about the murders of innocent kids; it is about venting rage and frustration for its own sake. There is a surfeit of violent passion being whipped up by social media and the culture wars happening right now. We are all being screwed by our economies and big business these days. Most folk don’t know who to take it out on and are being manipulated into blaming the state. The state has been sucked dry by private corporate interests called private equity under the banner of neoliberalism. Their political allies hide behind bullshit smoke screens like immigration, LGBTQI gender issues, and the anti-woke puppet show. Cowards and bullies like to punch down upon weaker victims like refugees and trans people, they hardly ever take on the real people who are stealing their lunch. Downward envy is encouraged by the authoritarian right wing parties and the Murdoch press. Divide and conquer by getting people to fight amongst themselves whilst the wealthy dance on our heads is the order of the day. “Nursing leaders have expressed their horror at racist violence across the UK, as two Filipino nurses have been among the targets of far-right rioters. Riots first broke out in Southport, Merseyside last Tuesday (30 July) after far-right agitators began a misinformation campaign on social media falsely claiming the perpetrator of a mass knife attack on a group of children in the town the previous day was a Muslim.” - (https://www.nursingtimes.net/news/leadership-news/filipino-nurses-attacked-as-nhs-community-condemns-racist-riots-05-08-2024/) Jeff Bezos by U.S. Air Force is licensed under CC-CC0 1.0 Identity Politics Playing You For A Fool Identity politics is smoke and mirrors, it is a scam perpetuated upon those who don’t bother to look into things. Here is a tip, much of the stuff that enrages you online is BS. It is purposely designed to provoke you and get you losing your shit and not thinking straight. Demonising gay and trans people, demonising immigrants and refugees, these are not the people getting rich at your expense. Wake up sunshine! Dig a little deeper and don’t believe everything you read online. There are people like Rupert Murdoch making money out of your rage. There are people in Russia misinforming you for their own nefarious designs. There are populists wanting power who are promising you they will make it all better – they won’t. Maybe spend a little less time in the gym and try exercising your brain instead. Ask yourself the question – who benefits? This is the key to every investigation. You know if they kicked out every migrant and every gay person you would still have the same problems. It is a scam. These poor people are not taking your piece of the pie. It is the billionaires and their underlings gobbling up the pie at your expense. It is always the same old story, nothing ever changes. Mehendi Wale Haath - A Celebration of Tradition and Elegance
Discover the cultural significance, artistry, and personal stories behind Mehendi Wale Haath. Explore the beauty and tradition of mehendi designs in this comprehensive guide.
Mehendi, also known as henna, is more than just a form of body art. It is a timeless tradition that embodies cultural heritage, artistic expression, and personal stories. The term "Mehendi Wale Haath," which translates to "hands adorned with mehendi," evokes images of intricate designs, joyous occasions, and the deep-rooted customs of South Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. In this blog post, we will delve into the history, significance, and modern interpretations of Mehendi Wale Haath, celebrating its enduring allure.
The Origins and History of Mehendi
Mehendi has a rich history that dates back thousands of years. Originating from ancient Egypt and the Middle East, it was used not only for its decorative purposes but also for its cooling and medicinal properties. Cleopatra is said to have used henna to adorn her body and dye her hair.
The art of mehendi spread to South Asia through cultural exchanges and trade routes. In India, it became an integral part of various religious and cultural ceremonies. Historical texts and ancient carvings depict women with hands and feet adorned in intricate henna patterns, signifying the longstanding tradition of Mehendi Wale Haath.
Cultural Significance of Mehendi Wale Haath
Weddings and Celebrations
One of the most prominent occasions for Mehendi Wale Haath is weddings. In Indian and Pakistani cultures, the Mehendi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where the bride’s hands and feet are decorated with intricate mehendi designs. This ceremony is a joyous celebration, often accompanied by music, dance, and festive attire. The groom's name is often hidden within the bride's mehendi, adding a playful element to the tradition.
Mehendi Wale Haath symbolizes beauty, joy, and auspiciousness. The deep color of the henna is believed to represent the love and bond between the couple. Additionally, it is said that the longer the mehendi lasts, the stronger the love between the bride and groom.
Festivals and Rituals
Apart from weddings, mehendi is also applied during various festivals and religious occasions. In Hindu culture, women apply mehendi during Karva Chauth, Diwali, Teej, and other significant festivals. These designs are often simpler than bridal mehendi but are equally cherished for their aesthetic and symbolic value.
Rite of Passage
In many cultures, applying mehendi marks important life events and transitions. It is common for girls to adorn their hands with mehendi during puberty, symbolizing their journey into womanhood. Similarly, mehendi is applied to newborns and young children during naming ceremonies and other rites of passage.
The Art and Design of Mehendi
Traditional Patterns
Traditional mehendi designs vary by region and culture. Indian mehendi is known for its detailed and intricate patterns, often covering a large part of the hands and feet. Common motifs include paisleys, flowers, and intricate latticework.
Arabic mehendi, on the other hand, features bold and less dense patterns with more space between the designs. It often includes floral motifs and vines, giving it a more contemporary and elegant look.
African mehendi, particularly from countries like Morocco, includes geometric shapes and patterns, reflecting the region’s rich artistic heritage.
Modern Interpretations
In recent years, mehendi art has evolved, incorporating modern elements and styles. Contemporary designs blend traditional motifs with new trends, such as glitter mehendi, white mehendi, and even colored henna. These innovations have expanded the appeal of Mehendi Wale Haath, attracting a global audience.
The Role of the Mehendi Artist
The skill of the mehendi artist plays a crucial role in the beauty of Mehendi Wale Haath. Artists spend years perfecting their craft, learning to create intricate designs with precision and creativity. Their ability to personalize designs according to the occasion, cultural background, and preferences of the wearer adds a unique touch to each application.
Personal Stories and Experiences
A Bride’s Perspective
For many brides, the Mehendi ceremony is one of the most memorable parts of their wedding journey. The process of applying mehendi, surrounded by friends and family, creates lasting memories. The anticipation of revealing the final design and seeing the deep, rich color emerge adds to the excitement.
One bride shared, "The Mehendi ceremony was magical. My hands felt like a canvas, and the mehendi artist turned it into a masterpiece. It was a beautiful way to start my wedding celebrations, filled with laughter, music, and the love of my dear ones."
The Artist’s View
Mehendi artists often form close bonds with their clients, sharing in their special moments. One artist recounted, "Each design tells a story. It’s not just about creating patterns; it's about connecting with people and being part of their joy. Seeing the smiles and the happiness my art brings is incredibly rewarding."
A Cultural Embrace
In multicultural societies, Mehendi Wale Haath has transcended its traditional roots, embraced by people from various backgrounds. For many, applying mehendi is a way to connect with and celebrate diverse cultures.
A participant in a cultural festival shared, "Applying mehendi allowed me to experience a beautiful aspect of Indian culture. It was fascinating to learn about the significance of the designs and the traditions behind them. Mehendi Wale Haath is truly a universal art form that brings people together."
Conclusion
Mehendi Wale Haath is more than an art form; it is a celebration of tradition, beauty, and cultural heritage. From its ancient origins to its modern interpretations, mehendi continues to captivate and inspire people around the world. Whether it adorns a bride’s hands, marks a festive occasion, or serves as a personal expression of creativity, the intricate designs of mehendi hold a special place in the hearts of many.
As we celebrate Mehendi Wale Haath, we honor the artisans who create these beautiful designs, the traditions that keep this art alive, and the personal stories that are interwoven with each intricate pattern. May the beauty and tradition of mehendi continue to thrive, bringing joy and connection to all who embrace it.

HISTORY OF PAKISTAN CLOTHING - TRAVELING THROUGH TIME
Culture and fashion are vital parts of any country’s history and civilization. In Pakistan, both of these are inextricably woven. To understand Pakistan’s fashion, we’ve compiled this brief guide to help take you back in time.
The history of Pakistan dresses is a very colorful and interesting one.
This history not only makes for a great learning experience but also gives insight into everything you need to know to understand why Pakistani fashion is where it is today. As you’ll see, this history of fashion in Pakistan reflects the culture, ideologies, and evolution of the Pakistan people, over time.

ORIGIN OF PAKISTANI DRESSES
Based on historical discoveries, Pakistani dresses date back over 7,000 years ago to the Bronze Age. This was during the Indus Valley Civilization era when cotton was first cultivated around 3,000 BC in the Indus River Valley which is now present-day Pakistan.
Pakistan’s geostrategic location also played a big role in its fashion and culture.
The country is bordered by India on the east, Iran by the west, Afghanistan in the northwest, China by the northeast, and the Arabian sea towards the south. This has made Pak nation a great connection point for trade and civilization through history. But then, this has also made it a favorite invasion route for foreign countries through centuries, as well.

Some of the past invasions, occupation, and settlement in Pakistan have involved diverse foreign cultures from Persians to Arabs, Turks, Mongols, Aryans, Dravidians, Greeks, White Huns, and certain Eurasian groups, among others.
For the country, this has meant the marriage of many cultures with the fashion mainly a blend of both Afghan and Persian elements. Along with this, fashion choices in Pakistan have also been shaped by religious considerations. This marriage of cultures, as well as the religious undertones, explains why Pakistani dresses seem exotic.
MUGHAL ERA INFLUENCE ON PAKISTANI FASHION
The Doab continued to suffer continuous Mongol occupation towards the end of the 13th century. The region (present-day Pakistan) was sacked as early as 1303. Fast forward to the 16th century, the Mughals have seized control and ruled most of India and Pakistan.
The Mughals (who are Muslims of Turkic-Mongol origin) consolidated Islam in South Asia. But along with spreading their faith, the Mughals also spread their Persian arts and culture. This cultural influence can easily be seen today with the majority of Pakistani clothing being a fusion of traditional and Mughal cultures. The Mughal era in South Asia is perhaps the single most influential era in the history of Pakistani fashion. This can be seen in the contemporary costumes of Pakistan from the Pakistani Salwar Kameez which is the national dress, to the lehenga, turban, churidar pajamas, pishwas, etc.
A Pakistani Dress for Girls
Many of these dresses have their origins traceable to the Mughal era although they have also evolved, over time.
ORIGIN & EVOLUTION OF THE SALWAR KAMEEZ - PAKISTAN’S NATIONAL DRESS
The Salwar Kameez was introduced to the Indo-Pak subcontinent in the 12th century along with the arrival of Muslims in South Asia. Fast forward to the 16th century when the Mughals held control of the region, the dress, along with several other elements of Persian art and culture had seeped into the region.
The earliest known form of Salwar Kameez is the Anarkali Salwar Kameez.
The Anarkali itself was first worn by Mujra dancers, courtesans who were often invited into the Mughal palace to entertain the royalty with Mujra dance steps. While the dress was originally known as the Mujra dress, it was renamed after Lady Anarkali (the legendary Mughal courtesan), upon her death.
The Salwar Kameez has survived centuries of changes and evolution to remain the favorite choice of dress for men and women in Pakistan today. The Pakistani salwar has a long and straight cut and is usually paired with the salwar or churidar pants.
A Pair of Pakistani Dresses
Pakistani women pair theirs with a dupatta shawl that helps to cover the head. The dress is super comfy and allows for maximal movement. This comfort and ease perhaps explain why it has held its place steadfastly as Pakistan's national clothing after all of these years.
MODERN ERA FASHION IN PAKISTAN
Pakistan’s social and political trajectory was on a very different path at the turn of the 20th century. The Mughal Empire began crumbling around the mid-19th-century and by 1858, the British deposed Emperor Bahadur Shah II, the twentieth and last Mughal Emperor of India, effectively ending the reign of the Mughal dynasty.
The British Raj ruled the Indian subcontinent from 1858 to 1947 when both India and Pakistan got independence. As expected, all of these moments in history had impacts on the culture and fashion of the people. As of the 20th century, the fashion choices here mostly reflect Indian cultures and traditions.
In the early 1900s, sarees and ghagras ruled the scene alongside the salwars, of course. After secession and independence, however, the Pakistani fashion scene longed for a distinct identity from its mainly Indian influence. Pakistani fashion became more liberal and tasteful around the mid-20th century. Western influence at this point meant dresses were shorter, half calf trousers and bell bottoms became more common.
Women in Pakistani Chiffon Suits
Towards the end of the 20th century, long shirts became more common.
Later on, the martial law to wear religious appropriate clothing was introduced by General Zia-ul-Haq paving the way for lengthier scarves and longer shirts. By the end of the 20th century, however, half sleeves became a thing again, with women styling their hair in bob cuts.
Along with the traditional salwar kameez, wide-leg pants, cigarette pants, jeans, and tights all showed up on the scene. Today, modern Pakistani fashion reflects all of the progressiveness and cultural nuances, and diversity of this 200 million population country. The fashion scene is as diverse as it’s ever been. Pakistani women now have their very own distinct fashion identity that most people can relate to.

I want to write a movie about my high school experience. I feel like it’s so different from every movie I’ve ever seen, you know?
Maybe it’s just because a lot of us are first and second gen here, but like- being a sports player and a good student aren’t mutually exclusive. There are football players in my honors and AP classes. Smart kids aren’t made fun of, either, usually people elected for homecoming king and queen are class officers- and they all have, like, a 3.8+ GPA. It’s also common for people in the band to be elected! Also, nobody likes the cheerleaders. I literally have no idea where that idea comes from. They’re also mostly people that didn’t make the marching band's dance team (now THOSE are the girls that get homecoming queen).
I’ve also never seen a movie about a school where, like I said earlier, a lot of students are first and second gen. Sometimes you see it in portrayals of latine communities in media, and while that is extremely important, I don’t ever really see people from just.. everywhere. There are two students that will sometimes speak Bulgarian to each other in class, how cool is that? It’s amazing that there are so many cultural clubs at my school, I literally got to try empanadas from three different continents at a school event once. Every Italian person here seems to have mob ties too, which is kind of hilarious.
There are also serious issues that are NEVER addressed. For instance, my school has racism problems worse than any other in the area because people bring their families prejudices with them. Who in the US is even racist towards slavs? People at my school, apparently! There's a teacher from France that has an issue with latine students specifically for some reason (even white ones), and Indian and Pakistani students in particular always seem to get into it with each other (no, it’s not on the basis of religion, most of them are irreligious). Some of the European students are also extremely anti-semitic, like I mean to the level of drawing swastikas in a jewish teachers classroom. And for whatever reason all the racist students seem to gang up on black students. Even brown students do it, it’s truly an experience.
In short- American high school movies feel representative of only VERY specific communities. Even movies like MCU spider man that have a diverse student body seem to just portray the same kind of environment.
