Jucika may have messed up the length on her ghost costume, but she still got WAY more candy than the kids she was babysitting!
Happy Halloween!

I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t been feeling it lately. I’m currently in a lot of physical pain and I absolutely hate the winter time - the weather, Christmas, New Year, my birthday - trapped indoors, unable to hike without getting wet and cold or lost in the dark, calendar full of obligations, the festive moods of those around me a glaring reminder that I’m broken and sad and lonely.
Creativity doesn’t come easy when you’re despondent. I forced myself to draw this - to recreate something I love. I realise that it’s not my best work, but I had to do something, anything other than staring at the TV and wishing I were someone else.
Pal Pusztai has been dead for 52 years, and yet Jucika still brings people joy. I hope this recreation makes you seek out his work.

Well, here‘s my attempt to recreate an actual Jucika strip like some artists have done. I’d like to think I was going for an approach where the comic actually lasted well into the ‘70s and thus we got to see Jucika in the funky outfits of the time. (re: bellbottoms!)

Jucika!
Normally I don't hop on bandwagons but I absolutely adore Jucika. I'd love to learn more about the comic and Pusztai Pal if anyone knows where I can read up!

After a heavy snowfall, Jucika decides to do some shoveling. Though knowing her, it probably won't go as planned.

Jucika's ever-changing profession sees her as a delivery girl and she's got a package for you!
My apologies to any Hungarian speakers if any of the text on here is butchered. I don't speak Hungarian, but I felt the piece would be lame if it were in in English.
