Happy Birthday Pali! (2023 Edition)
@palilious Happy birthday my friend! I humbly offer this to you as my birthday present! 💜 Have the best day! 2.1k words
A note for everyone else: you can read this if you want but it is very much meant For Pali and not generalized
—
Softly-callused fingertips trail over the ridge where your neck meets your back as you return to consciousness. You hear Milo humming quietly, weak morning sunlight filtering into the room past blackout curtains.
An instinctive inhale and exhale to clear the haze of sleep out of your lungs alerts him that you're awake. He chuckles quietly. "Mornin' sweetheart," he says. Gentle and relaxed. Unhurried.
"Morning," you reply. Snuggling farther back against him in a half-asleep stupor. He slides his arms around you and holds you close, humming again. He always has this scent about him that's musky and clean and as you clear your lungs of sleep again.
"Guess what?" he says quietly, voice vibrating from his chest into your back.
"Hmm?"
His lips press to that ridge on your spine between your neck and your back, trailing up and down with lazy kisses on each vertebrae bump. "Happy birthday to you... happy birthday to youuu... happy birthday dear Paliii... happy birthday to youuu..." he sings, keeping his lips pressed to your skin so you can feel them moving. It tickles slightly, sending goosebumps down your spine. An instinctive shudder cascades down your spine. Milo chuckles. "Tickle?"
"A little."
"Sorry." He doesn't apologetic at all. He actually sounds cheeky.
You squirm in order to turn around and face him. His skin has a slight glimmery sheen in the weak, ambient sunlight and the scar that bisects his eyebrow glints. "No you're not," you say playfully.
He grins, bright white teeth shining out. "Nah. Not if it means I get to see this pretty face of yours." He brings a hand around from you back to brush a curl behind your ear and run the backs of his fingers down your cheek. Adding a playful little pinch of your chin when he reaches it. You swat his hand away with a laugh, which earns you another one.
"Charmer."
"You like it."
"Arrogant."
"You like that too."
You do but he doesn't have to sound so cocky about it. It's too hot and not fair.
Before you can make some joke about it, your phone starts ringing. Milo chuckles again. "So it begins," he says softly.
You reach over to the bedside table and pick up your phone to see a familiar name from your contacts list. Of course those two are first. "Mmhmm," you can't help but agree. The thing about werewolf packs is that when a birthday comes around, the whole pack calls to impart well wishes.
You slide the answer option.
"Happy birthday to youuu!" the familiar voices of Asher and his mate sing—his mate holding the tune much better than him. Neither of those two are morning people, especially on a Saturday, but you know Asher. He'd be damned if he didn't grab every single opportunity to celebrate even the smallest occasion with both hands and run with it.
By the time they finish the song, Asher's singing falsetto opera and his mate is laughing so hard you can hear them wheezing and unable to continue.
An obvious clue that whatever they see on their end of the call is some sort of dramatic performance on Asher's part.
"How's your birthday been so far, Pali?" Asher asks in that excited puppy tone of his.
"Barely started," you say as you hear something in the kitchen. Milo kisses right behind your ear and slides smoothly out of bed with the grace of a real wolf on a hunt, slipping out of the room.
"Awww," Asher's mate says.
"Were we the first to call?" Asher asked.
"Yep," you reply.
"Woohoo!" his mate says with a chuckle. "Well, we'll let you go before Asher or I keep you on the phone for an hour. Hope you have a great birthday, Pali!"
"Haaappyyyyy birthdaaayyy!" Asher drawls in agreement a little farther back from the phone.
"Thank you both! Bye!"
"Have a good day! Bye!" They hang up. You smile and set your phone back down on the bedside table, knowing David and his mate are probably going to call any second. David won't sing, but his mate will. Loud and enthusiastic and bubbly. David's just punctual.
The door to the bedroom creaks open and Milo carefully steps in. There's a tray in his hands. Laden with breakfast for both of you.
You gasp sarcastically. "Milo Greer? Actually allowing us to eat on the bed?" you tease. A trait he notoriously picked up from his mother, Milo was pretty strict about not eating on the bed because he hated having to shake crumbs out of the covers.
He grins. "Well, it's my sweetheart's special day. I figure I can make an exception for one day of the year." He sets the tray on the bed between your spot and his and climbs carefully on to sit beside you. "Made your favorite."
"A lots more beside," you add, eyeing how much food was on plates. "How early did you get up?"
He shrugs. "Eh. Couple hours ago. Woke up at my usual time anyway and couldn't get back to sleep. Figured I'd let you sleep in while I made you some breakfast." He leans over and kisses your cheek, voice dropping to a whisper. "Dig in, sweetheart. There's more fun to be had after you've gotten some food in you. I think we'll both need the energy." He winks playfully and straightens back to his spot and picks up his plate.
You're halfway through your own breakfast when your phone rings again. Sure enough, David's mate immediately belts out their happy birthday song while David audibly sighs affectionately in the background. "Happy birthday, Pali," he offers when his mate is finished singing.
"Thank you both!"
"Have a great day and do whatever you want and damn the consequences!" his mate exclaims.
"Angel," David warns quietly.
"What?" they ask, sounding defensive but not apologetic.
You laugh.
"Don't expect a song from Tank and Sam. Neither of them are the singing sort," David tells you. "They'll still call, but I don't think they'll sing."
"That's fine," you remark. "I appreciate all the well wishes no matter what."
"You're family. Shifter or not, you're part of the pack." David's stalwart resolute attitude is as unwavering as always.
"Thanks David." You grin even if he and his mate can't see you. They can hear it in your voice, you're fairly certain of that. They've known you long enough.
"Of course, Pali. You and Milo have a good day."
"Byyyeee!" David's mate says.
"Bye!"
They hang up.
Milo chuckles. "How David managed to land someone with that much energy, I have no idea."
"But considering how much they've gotten him to loosen up," you remark, "it's a good thing he did."
"Oh yeah." He nods and takes a drink of his orange juice. "So, sweetheart, which present do you want first?"
"There's more than one?"
"Wellll... there's the pretty thing in a box wrapped in paper in the other room, and then there's this gift right in front of you." He gestured to himself with a lopsided smirk that spelled Trouble from a mile away. You start to chuckle and roll your eyes, but he leans closer and cuts off your train of thought. "So which do you want first, sweetheart?" he growls, still smirking. "What'll it be?"
He lifts a hand and twirls one of your curls around his fingers, tickling the ends of it against your cheek.
You reach up and ball your fists into the chest of his loose pajama T-shirt and pull him close. "I think I'll take you first."
His crooked grin widens in that look that definitely made teachers wary of him. "Come 'ere and get me then, sweetheart."
You practically pounce on him as he kisses you and pulls you closer with a desperation that's never gone away, even after all this time together. A growl rolls in his throat. He hooks one leg around you to pin you close to him. His other hand grabs the tray and sets it down on the floor beside the bed.
—
An Unknown Amount of Time Later...
—
Messy curls and sweaty skin accompany heavy breathing as Milo pulls you close, nuzzling his nose into the hair on the side of your head. Somehow he looks fresh as a spring daisy under the sweat. His hair doesn't have a single coil out of place and his smile shines as bright as the sun. "I love you, Pali."
"I love you too, Milo."
He hums, chest vibrating against yours. "Good birthday so far?"
You manage a nod, still panting, with a smile.
Milo grins. "Good. Because I'd be damned if I didn't treat my mate and the love of my life to the best day of her year for her birthday." He kisses the end of your nose. You pucker your lips for another one—
Right as your phone rings again. Milo rolls over—you're not entirely sure when he ended up on your side of the bed—and passes it to you. "It's Tank 'n' Sam," he says.
You answer it.
"Happy birthday Pali!" they both say. Tank sounds brighter than you've heard them in years, and Sam sounds about as amused as you've heard since you met him.
Milo slips out of bed.
"Thanks!" You're fairly certain you're not panting when you reply.
You still hear Tank suppress a snicker, so maybe you weren't as subtle as you think. "Good day so far?" they ask.
"Yup. Very good day."
"I'll bet." You catch a bit of a teasing tone in their voice. "Well, we'll let you and Milo get back to your celebrations. We just wanted to wish you happy birthday."
"Thank you both."
"Sure thing. Bye Pali."
"Bye!" You hang up.
Milo comes back into the bedroom, having acquired pajama shorts from somewhere, and holds a hand out for you. You hop out of bed and throw on one of his T-shirts that had been sitting on the chair. His musky, clean scent clings to it. Filling your nose in a way that's always comforted and soothed you.
You take his hand and let him tug you into the living room. The house is so much nicer and quieter than the apartment without upstairs neighbors clanking around in their cinderblock shoes.
Milo tugs you into his lap on the couch and pulls something off one of the end tables. "I told you there was a pretty thing in a box wrapped in paper out here," he said. "Gotta spoil my mate just a little." He rests his cheek on your shoulder and sets the box—small and long enough that you assume it's a bracelet that's strung out flat—in your hand.
"Do I get to open it?" you ask.
He blows a raspberry into the skin of your upper arm. "It's your birthday, Pali. You get to do whatever you want."
You rip the paper off. The box is a little thicker than you thought. You pull the long lid off the top.
Not a bracelet.
A pen.
A very fancy pen. The kind with a shiny wooden handle.
You look down at Milo. "A pen?"
He nods. "It's one of those fountain pen things that's s'posed to be really good for inking. For all those, uh... pose studies you do with me as your, uh... anatomy model" He winks. "I asked one-a your artsy friends what the best kind would be for you, and this is what she recommended."
"Wait." You pop the pen out of the box and inspect it. "Aren't these like super expensive?"
He smiles that troublemaker's smile. "It's your birthday. Aaand once ya got the pen, ya just gotta replace the ink when it runs out. Which isn't so expensive. Way I see it, it's an investment for that one sketchbook that ain't allowed to leave our bedroom."
You chuckle. The sketchbook in question is definitely never allowed to leave your bedroom.
The pen in your hand winks in the sunlight. You look down at him. "Milo... thank you."
He kisses your arm and then puckers up facing your head. You bend down and kiss him. "Happy birthday, sweetheart. I'm so lucky to have you in my life and I don't know what I'd do without you." He brushes your curls out of your face and behind your ear. "You're the light of my life and the best mate a wolf like me could ask for. I'm so grateful for you."
"I love you, Milo."
"I love you too, Pali. More than life itself." He leans in close and lets you kiss him again. Sweeter and more tender. Without the raw passion. Just love and joy. "Happy birthday baby."
"Thank you, Milo. For everything."
"Nah, nah. I'm the one who should be thankin' you."
#Happy Birthday Pali!#Pali I love you#I hope you have a really good day#I wish I could do more for my friend's birthdays but alas. Fics have to do#my dad's the artist not me but I got him a nice pen one year and he used it until it was all gone.#I also got him a 500 prompt sketchbook and he filled the whole thing

Striking a Deal - Reader x Azriel
Reader is a demon, capable of granting information in exchange for things she wants. When Azriel summons her, she may be more than he can handle.
Warnings - ‘forced’ sex due to circumstance, bondage, unbreakable ties, choking, teasing, orgasm denial, HFO/hands free orgasm, cock milking, squirting, cum paly, g-spot and clitoral stim, fingering, mention of knot (no knotting), hand job, wing play, mention of blood ingestion (not super sexual, not in scene),
As always, skip to ++++++++++ for just the nasty stuff. <3
NSFW 18+ MDNI
Azriel was desperate. Fully, truly desperate for stooping this low.
Still, he chanted on, plowing through verse after verse of the summoner’s spell.
He had little regret over what he’d done. Scaring away fifteen priestesses hadn’t been hard, but finding the right tome had been. He should have asked for the book first.
“Of blood, and by this flame I summon you.” He finished, slicing a cut into his wrist deep enough to coat the pile of bones and herbs he’d gathered for this ritual.
And there was silence. He glanced around, taking in the painted walls of the temple and carved archways. The moon was little more than a sliver, the thing he’d summoned could be anywhere. He scented his own fear and clamped down on it, forcing his mind to ease.
To fear would be fatal, now.
“I expected someone more powerful than a shadowsinger.” Her voice was like honey dripping into his ears. His neck went stiff, as if a puppeteer was controlling him. His shadows lashed out into the darkness, quickly finding the owner of the voice and wrapping them - no.. her - in bindings.
Very much her. Gorgeous proportions and the hair, his mind went foggy with lust. He saw her now that his shadows had pinpointed her, and was wholly overwhelmed with the perfection of her. Something deep inside him rumbled with warning, though.
This was no witch or sorcerer, not even a Queen. This was something far more powerful and deadly, and he struggled to remember that.
“I may be more powerful than you know.” He said, attempting to put on the saam air of seduction the female radiated.
She walked through his shadows as if they weren’t even there, and again his mind quaked with unfamiliar fear.
“What is it such a powerful shadowsinger needs then?” She hummed, bending beside him and plucking a bone from the floor. She stuck out her tongue and lapped at the length of it, staring at Azriel the whole time. His cock surged, and he cleared his throat.
“I seek a weapon. Something to end a God.” Azriel began, gauging her unimpressed reaction.
“And?” She prompted, taking another lick of his blood. Goosebumps broke out along his flesh.
“Would you be able to help with something like that?” He his his irritation behind an easy smile, watching her tongue. At least her beauty made up for such informality.
“I suppose. It depends how much the asker is willing to pay for such a thing.”
“I have gold.” He supplied, not convince his lowest bid would be enough. Especially not with a demon this peculiar.
“I do too.” She smiled, and waved a hand. His vision went blurry for a moment, then all around him appeared as if he were in a vault of gold marks, gold pillars, stretching from the floor going up and up into the blackened sky. A hot breath fell on his neck, and when he whipped around, the golden eye of a massive beast greeted him.
He jumped backwards, knocking his ritual items over, sending them clattering through the temple. He whirled back around, facing the demon he’d brought here. She shrugged, casting the bone aside and approaching him.
“Show me what you’re really willing to lose, Shadowsinger.” She walked two fingers up his abdomen, to his chest and rested them under his jaw, forcing him to look up. “A weapon that powerful is going to cost more than anything I sense you carry.”
“What do you want?” He hissed, hating how much her touch turned him on. Her nails scratched down his neck, and it was like a branding iron on his skin. Chills raced along his arms.
She sighed, admiring the way his throat bobbed, the way the tendons in his neck stuck out when he was so tense. “I’ve been so… lonely, stuck in the Pit by myself.” She pouted, making his cock ache with the suggestion of what she was proposing. “No one summons us anymore. All you fae and mortals trust so much in your common magics and healers. No one is desperate enough to call upon us anymore.”
He took a steadying breath, his heart hammering in hsi chest. She leaned in, so close to his ear he could feel her hot breath against it. “I want you… to summon me. To bring me back to this planet and allow me to live. Even for the short while before they pull me back. Cast this same ritual, and bring me back.” She took his hand and brought it to her breast, squeezing his fingers tight around it. A groan fell from him, and before he could even think about the implications of striking such a deal, his mouth was on hers.
The deal had been struck.
++++++++++++++++++++++
The searing burn of his tongue upon yours was so deliciously delightful, so full of need and challenge that you could hardly feel the brand of the deal writing itself on your neck.
The kiss had sealed the bond, the rest of this would be just for fun.
“Your weapon-” You say between moans, pulling his tunic off and freeing his muscled body. “Will be found in the deepest lake on the highest peak-”
He rips your clothes off, tearing and urgent with need. “I didn’t summon you for a riddle.” He growls, dipping his head to catch a nipple between his teeth. A sharp gasp escapes you, and you squeeze his cock in your hand.
“You didn’t summon me as your whore, either.” You correct, yanking him back by the hair. He bares his teeth, and his shadows wrap around your ankles, thick and cool against your skin.
“You certainly act like that’s what you’re here for.” He grunts, and those shadows snake farther up your exposed legs until they’re massaging into your thighs. A ripple of want shoots through you at their closeness to your waiting cunt.
You’re too distracted by his hands and shadows on you to really give him a comeback. Truthfully, his filthy mouth could be saying anything at this moment and you wouldn’t care, not as long as he was touching you. It’d been a century since you’d seen anything other than the black pit of your home, and with such a gorgeous male before you, how could one resist? Your blood had been thrumming with need the second you’d crawled out of your home.
He pulls you forward, onto one of the short steps that leads to the recessed center of the room. “Now, what do I have to do to get you to bring me this weapon?” He rasps against your skin, biting your shoulder as he sat you down on the step. He pulls away, only to start lapping down your body until he is between your thighs, joining his shadows there.
“You want another deal, Shadowsinger?” You pant, leaning back on the step behind you and spreading your legs wide for him. He groans and the shadows ghost over your folds with teasing, almost-touches.
“Tell me.” He demands, and laps at you with a flattened tongue. “Such a pretty pussy.” He praises.
Your legs snap together, squeezing his head. “I cannot retrieve it for you, but I can take you to where it is.” You promise, and the half - truth of it feels sour on your tongue. You could retrieve it, but it’d take much more time than you had after you were released from the Pit.
He hums, seemingly content with the answer as he laps at you. His shadows join, dipping into your pussy and writhing there, fucking you softly but with ferocity. Your breaths are coming in shallow, frantic spurts as you focus on not coming on his face.
You want his cock for that.
A lick of your power lashes out, breaking his shadows away and freezing him in place with a leash of your own making. Magic bound, he straightens at your command and the sight of his surprise sets you giggling.
“You’re eager.” You critique. Sitting up, you take his cock in your hands and admire it, loosening your magic on him when you feel him relax and sigh at your touch. “Much too eager.” You observe the thick rivulets of pre-come dripping from his tip. You dip down and take a taste of him, humming at the sense of it. The salty, needy taste of him.
You wrap your hand around him and give him a long, slow pump and he shudders. His cock is magnificent. You can barely touch your fingers together around him with his thickness, and the knot at the base of him is hardly formed. Was he one of the fae able to change his cock at will? A ripple of excitement rolls though you at the possibility of it. You stroke him again, and another drop of precome wets his tip and you tap the tip of your finger with it, trailing it over his shaft and up his abdomen until you reach his lips. He takes it eagerly still, enjoying the taste of himself it seems.
You bind his hands to his sides, and ghost your fingers over his cock. Barely touching him, just as his shadows had teased you. He spits venom, cursing you with each delicate touch. You stroke him hard and through occasionally, but watching him be so needy for the touch is such a turn-on.
Your nails trail from his balls and up his shaft, then you circle the tip of him gently with the pad of your finger, swirling his lubrication there. He’s watching you the entire time, his brows pulled together and his lips a deep shade of red that matches the tip of his cock.
“I am glad that you were the one who’s summoned me.” You hum, getting up and going behind him. Even with him on his knees, he still reaches the height of your breast. He’s huge and lithe in his build, even his wings are a powerful kind. You touch them gently, humming when he hisses curses under his breath.
That gets your attention.
“Sensitive. Illyrian wings are different than the wings of other winged species, aren’t they?” You question, raking your nails over the arches of them. He cries out, lurching forward but your magic catches him, hauling him back up and in place before he can fold onto the step.
You kneel behind him, and wrap an arm around to take his cock into your hand again. He shudders and thrusts forward, into your grip. He’s needy and desperate and with you touching his wings he’s going to cum embarrassingly quickly. He hates how much he’s loving this, how the control you have over him is making him so fucking desperate.
He fucks into your hand, his precome wetting him enough that it heightens the experience further. Your hand is wet and hot and not nearly as good as your mouth had been but it’s better than the teasing touches you’d been giving him earlier, and he’s grateful. His need is rising and his muscles are working, his balls going tight with the need of release.
Then, you pull away. Your hand is gone and he’s left fucking the air like an animal, and he’s shuddering. “You fucking- bitch..” He grinds out, his abdomen flexing with how close he’d been. His balls tighten and relax, his cock twitching and slapping against his stomach.
You stand and go back to be in front of him, watching him twitch and writhe uncomfortably. His cock is surging and desperately seeking more stimulation, The angry redness of the tip a delicious strawberry color that makes you salivate.
You go back to tracing over him, and you can feel his power, his every fiber struggling against your magic. He’s close, so on the edge that you’re sure he’ll break with only a few more strokes. Good. You want him to. You want him to remember the only female who’d bested him at his own desires. You want him to fuck you endlessly, if that is the only time you have on this planet.
His balls are tight and heavy, and when you trace a finger along his ridge he shudders, leaning forward again. You allow it this time, catching his lips with yours and letting your tongue flick over his own. He groans into your mouth and snaps his hips forward when you make a loose fist over his cock.
His needy cries echo across the temple like a song.
You tighten your hand, allowing him to fuck into it for a few more strokes before pulling away again. But it’s too late. You pull back and watch as he thrusts into the air, his cock pulsing with his orgasm. He’s snarling and cursing as the pleasure takes him in a violent way. You watch in supreme pleasure as he gets what he finally wants. His cum shoots out and lands on your legs, your belly. The stone floor and steps. His spend is hot and dribbles from his tip when you release his bindings.
He wavers, and his shadows return slowly. His muscles flex as he leans forward, clearly exhausted with the experience.
His hands shake when he leans over you, catching your chin in his hand. “You are a horrible little thing.” He curses, then forces his tongue into your mouth.
He forces you back, so you’re arched against the steps, and the fingers of his other hand go between your folds, slickening them before plunging in. The most exquisite burn fills you, and is then eased by his curling fingers. He draws out your wetness, coating your clit with it and rubbing firm circles for a moment before pushing deep back inside of you.
He uses his entire forearm and wrist while he does it, truly fucking you with his hand. His fingers are thick and they do satiate a part of your own need, but it’s nothing compared to what his cock would be.
But this part of the game is up to him. You’d had your fun, and now it was his turn.
His tongue is aggressive in your mouth, fighting your own and showing you exactly what he’d been doing against your pussy before. He pulls away, leaving drool on your chin. His shadows go to your wrists, and you allow them to lock you in place, legs spread wide and wrists bound to the floor.
This is his turn. If you want him to stay true to his bargain not just for bargaining sake, you’ll let him have his turn. You could use him, sure, - force him in place and take him as you wanted - but where was the fun in that?
“Azriel-” You pant, and he takes your throat in a hand. Not hard, not dangerous, but certainly a silent command.
He’s working you deep and swiping against your g-spot with every stroke, and if he doesn’t stop you’re not sure if you’ll be able to either.
“Making me cum without even letting me really touch you first?” He scolds, punctuating it with his thumb stroking over your clit. Your yes clamp shut, your thighs desperately trying to do the same but his shadows - as weak as they are - won’t allow you to. You moan, the pressure of his hand against your throat a devious thing.
Your body is betraying you, reaching your high peaks so quickly while he rubs your clit. Your walls squeeze him, wanting more. Needing more than just two fingers. But his thumb is relentless and consistent, you try to fight the building orgasm but it only makes your g-spot more sensitive.
“Azriel please-” You whine, panting and squirming as much as you can under him. His hand leaves your throat and instead goes to the back of your head, knotting in your hair there. He forces you to watch his hands word, how spread you are for him, the way your wetness shines against this dark skin. He’s humming something in your ear but you can barely hear it over the mounting pleasure, the cascade of twitching need that writhes inside you, begging to be released. A dam too overflowed, your control slips, and slips.
You push against the heat, the pressure of the orgasm but again, he brushes into that spot inside you and your clit again, and you’re shaking - coming apart in his grasp. Wetness coats him, your own juices flowing out of you in an intense way, splattering against the floor and coating his arm. The wet sounds of his fingers still working you echo against the high ceilings and stone walls.
You’re shaking, shuddering and breathing hard when he gently removes his fingers then laps at them.
The sight nearly sends you into another orgasm.
“Safe to say you’ll be summoned often, little demon.” He says, offering you a finger wet with your own juices.
You take it greedily, sucking on his finger the same way you wanted to suck his cock.
“Next time I expect you to last longer.” You critique, earning a laugh from him.
“If I make that promise now, does that mean we get to fuck again and seal that bond?”

hi! first time anon, but long time reader of your work (been here since the midoriya x bakugo's big bro fic). i wish you good luck in your finals and i hope you have a good break !
i read your motorbike prompt fanfic, i think the plot is really nice and tbh i think transmasc reader is really good for that story !! speaking as a thai person myself, i think transmasc rep is scarce here but that might just be me ??? 😭
tho speaking of which, there was smth that bugged me about the story, which is the part where the mysterious biker called the reader "nangfa (นางฟ้า)" not sure if you used google translate or smth else but by most interpretations, nangfa is fairy/pixie/goddess. i mean, it's applicable to angel, too, but it's not like... the most "right" ig????? if that even makes sense 😭💀 cuz i feel that thai language doesnt really have a direct translation for "angel" bc our language is derived/mixed from/with sanskrit, old khmer, pali, etc., which are languages heavily associated with buddhist scriptures. this is relevant bc in buddhism theres not really any "angels" rather than gods and goddesses (note that some sects do interpret them as angels but in mainstream/legitimized thai buddhism (Theravada) in thai language, they are called gods and goddesses), which means that the concept of angels doesnt really exist, but the closest to abrahamic angels we have are gods and goddesses. another thing is that nangfa has a feminine connotation, bc "nang" means mrs, so nangfa is literally sky woman. it might be a bit dysphoric since the reader is transmasc. tho i dont know the male equivalent of nangfa, never heard of one either personally even tho i lived in thailand for all of my life. mostly theyre just straight up called เทพบุตร (male gods) or เทวดา. also pretty sure mostly facebook incels flirt with girls using nangfa so that was mostly what threw me off 😭 if theyre not facebook incels, theyre just overdramatic, desperate, or old as hell (like 50+ 💀)
if u wanna change it after reading this (which u dont have to), there are some good choices such as "whanjai (sweetheart)," "baby (preferred by most younger thai couples)," "ที่รัก (thi rak -> my love)" ofc phi/p and nong are also good choices. if you want the reader/krist/mystery biker guy to have chinese ancestry (most common ethnic group in thailand), you can also use เฮีย "hiea" (older male) tho if youre interested in the usage of this word i can expand on that in another ask
ALSO I JUST REALLY WANNA KNOW, AT THE PART WHERE IT SAYS
“(Name) Opas Phanuwat, what do you think ‘stay where I can see you’ means?”
IF "OPAS PHANUWAT" IS THE READER'S WHOLE LAST NAME OR IF IT'S LIKE OPAS = FIRST NAME, PHANUWAT = LAST NAME 😭 flash banged, if i am reading this right as โอภาส = opas... cuz my dad's friend's name is that 😭 it's a really old name but it has a good meaning. also, again if this came from google translate, imo it should be fixed as "opad" bc opas is not the correct phonetic sound, tho it's up to you if you wanna change it or not cuz by "romanization" (not sure abt the proper term for this but i think this word gets the point across?) it is right, it's just not read as "opas"... this part, again, is js my personal preference because my name is constantly butchered bc the way it is written vs how it's pronounced is very different in both thai and english 😭 really dont wanna suffer again w this shi
tldr, nangfa as a choice bugs me and really curious abt the reader's name choice
i really like this concept overall and i think it's really interesting !! very happy that this place i call home is the setting of this one !! (tho i think they really didnt need to shut the highway in BANGKOK down 😭 (cries in ungodly traffic jam) cuz illegal races happen regardless but it's wtv) i cant wait to see how this story plays out and who that mystery bike guy is and learn more abt krist !! looking forward to reading your next work !! until then good luck with your stuff and supporting you from the shadows !!
just in case i do send smth again i'll leave off as mcyap anon 😭 sorry that this is like super long
!!!!!! YAY!!!! Thank goodness, I’m so glad you corrected me, please do it again if needed!!!!!! Anyway I’ll explain some of the choices cuz I did only use google translate for angel cuz I couldn’t find what type of pet names do Thai people use!
Thx for the list of choices, I’ll think a bit more on which one suits the biker. But could you explain heia?
For the last name bit, I got the last name from a real Thai actor lmfaooo, Opas Phanuwat was his full last name! But the romanization of it could’ve been wrong lol. I was actually wondering if I should do it how it works in Thai
The nickname first name last name, but I don’t know how many none thai people know that 😩 so I just left it at that, but I can see how it would end up confusing a Thai person fml.
Thx again, really, sure I’m learning more about Thai culture through dramas and readings—it’s nice to have someone actually check me!!
Oh and I’m curious, does this name I have for the biker make sense?
“เสือ” ธาวิน ชัยอริยะกุล — learning how last names work in Thai was a struggle, but the way yall names work is so cool 🙂↕️

Was about to send prompt when I saw it but got called and freaking forgot what I wanted to send. Ahahaha~ Anyway, so as you said 😁 *rubs hands*:
Static Electricity + 💙❤️
Ah yes... it took me only *checks calendar* 3 months... good, also sorry with the ending, but seriously i was stuck there, today i changed it at last 10 times. Ops.
Anyway here it is ❤️
---
"Don't touch me!" Kagami yelled, rubbing his hand and looking shocked and confused by what just happened.
"I should be the one saying that!" Aomine hissed rubbing his forearm, feeling the warm sensation from when Kagami hand left with a kick of static electricity.
"What the fuck just happened?" Kagami asked, looking at his hand, and then at Aomine rubbing his offended arm.
"Static electricity, bakagami! What did you think?" Aomine said with a not so veiled hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"No shit Sherlock" Kagami huffed, turning around to take the ball that rolled in the back of the court, "I was asking why? Since till two minutes ago nothing happened and now this!" Kagami ended pointing at Aomine, still rubbing his arm and his own hand, rubbing mindlessly thumb and index finder together before feeling a little spark kick his hand.
"Shit!"
"SEE" Aomine pointed at what just happened, "It wasn't my fault, it was yours!!!"
"Oh for…" Kagami started, before freezing and letting a little grin bloom on his face, while taking the ball in his hands. “Let’s get back to paly.” Kagami said starting to rub mindlessly the ball on his shirt, before trowing it toward Aomine that took the ball, letting out a flood of curse the moment it touched his hand.
“BASTARD!” Aomine screamed, before launching himself toward Kagami, making both of them fall hard on the floor and roll, starting a match of kick, punch and hair pulling, followed by screaming.
“You guys are kids.” A soft voice reached their ears making both, stop mid punch and turn their head to the side, just to scream in unison.
“KUROKO!!!!” Aomine and Kagami yelled.
“Don’t fucking do that anymore!” Aomine hissed, rolling a little, just to end on the floor and not on top of Kagami… not that he was opposed to, but he was never gonna admit it out loud. No. Never.
“Yeah, please stop!” Kagami groaned raising, just to turn around and look at Aomine with his cheeks red.
“I was here the whole time.” Kuroko shrugged, before raising from his crunched position, and moving just to stop few step after and turning again. “Also if you two just kiss, all this tension can finally end, and we can finally find a little bit of peace.” That said Kuroko just disappeared without another word leaving both boys gaping with their mouth open.
“KUROKOOOOOO!!!!” Both screamed in unison, before turning to the other and just stop, both red and breathing heavenly.
“You? Me?” Kagami started not being able to say anything else…
“Yeah Baka.”
“Oh. OH.”
“Yeah oh.” Aomine answered, finally raising from the floor, just to move and pinch Kagami cheeks before kissing the red head mouth and finally, fucking finally, end all that pining. Consequences be damned. All thank to a little bit of static electricity… and Kuroko.

Kinkmas : Day 5
On a Mount
A/N: kinda back I'm gonna be posting more to catch up on Friday but needed to get this one posted bc I struggled with the idea of this prompt but loved this one
Pairing: Jake Sully x Fem! Omitikaya Reader
Warnings: on a Pali, outdoors, handjob, teasing, slightly dom reader and sub jake,
"Skxawng," you chuckle, rolling your eyes as you watch Jakesulli.
To put it frankly, he fucked up. Again.
You were on a voyage with him to explore some of the southern fields, mostly just for a fun day, but the male had managed to be thrown off of his Pali. You snort as you watch the beast gallop away, back toward the treeline to home.
"Come," you call for him, rolling your eyes playfully once more,"You will lead her, I will be here behind you."
You scoot back at that, disconnecting your kuru, failing to spot the growing deep purple hue lighting up his cheeks. He's quick to shake his head, attempting to clear his thoughts before carefully clambering onto the steed.
You also fail to realize the full body shiver as he feels your hips press into his as you scoot close to him, your chest pressed to his back as you carefully move his kuru over his shoulder.
"Make the bond, feel her breath," your voice is soft against his neck.
He swallows hard, nodding too quickly as he rushes the bond. It startles the pali, and she jolts forward a few steps, enough to have you laugh outloud and cling to his waist.
"Be calm!"
"I am-"
"Oh, yes, because that was so calm for her!" You giggle out, rolling your eyes before playfully clicking your tongue,"Just feel her heart, strength, trust her. Have her move forward, by this rate we may reach the fields by nightfall."
The first ten minutes are rocky, the steed huffs and nearly bucks you off, but with time, she calms. You're leaning against Jake now, peeking over his shoulder and grinning.
"We are almost there," your breath tickles his neck.
"Okay-" He replies gruffly.
"Are you alright?"
He nods too quick, and you lean into him to peer at his face, spotting the light purple around his ears and cheeks.
"Oh? What is it-"
"It's nothing," he grumbles out. You giggle at that, pushing him with your chest as you tease him only for the steed to jerk forward, and you fumble and grasp at skin to stabilize yourself.
The resounding gasp has him immediately apologizing, body going rigid as your hands brushed over hardened flesh, perched atop his right thigh.
You fight to stifle the grin on your lips, continuing to peer over his shoulder to spot that embarrassed blush that has a familiar heat coiling between your legs.
Your decision is very quick, probably not the best idea atop a moving pali, but it doesn't stop you from leaning forward to whisper into his neck,"Keep your focus forward."
And you quickly grip over his hardened length over his tewng.
He chokes on his spit, a startled yelp leaking from his lips that causes the pali to jolt; Jake gasps as your hand strokes over his member, firm but not enough considering his tewng. He tries to crane his neck, tries to gawk at you until you pinch his hip.
"What did I say?"
He nods quickly,"Ke- fuck, keep my eyes forward," he stammers.
A coy grin forms on your lips and you sweetly press them to his shoulderblade,"Good boy."
He shivers, almost sagging against you as you pick up your speed, and not long after you're slipping your hand beneath his tewng and wrapping your fist around him, skin to skin much to his relief. His hips buck up, a broken gasp seeping from his mouth that you wish you could've kissed away. He groans, hips desperately gyrating into your hand and he begins to lose his focus on his surroundings.
"Pay attention, Jakesulli," you tease firmly, slowing your strokes.
"Okay- okay! Don't stop," he pants, shaking his head quickly,"Please."
"We'll see."
You gradually pick up the pace once more, a deep blush painting your skin as your own arousal boils up. You feel your core pulsing with need.
You take your hand from his tewng, gripping his waist and watching as he groans, panting harshly and how his voice got breathy with his pleads.
"Show me you can listen with her, then I'll ride you like this tonight," you tease.
"You better keep that promise," he huffs out.
A/N: love me some slightly subby jake

Looking at my WIP list again and welp, it keeps growing 😅😅
Last time I tallied it I had 11... I've since finished 2 of those, written 2 other brand-new ideas - and have ended up with 16 at the moment! Which is really too much for any one girl, but hey ho!
Active WIPs:
Prompt - Garak and Julian’s first conversation post-IPS/BIL.
Short: Palis + abuse
Short: Break-it/fix-it of the family dinner scene in Statistical Probabilities
“Damned If I Do (Dead if I don’t)” – s31 run a simulation to test Julian’s ability to protect information under pressure. Such as, watching people be killed.
“When You Fell From Heaven” – rewrite/polish of Julian telling Miles and Jadzia about how his augmentations had hurt (and still hurt…)
Sloanshir one-night stand (fuh-q fest prompt – memory wiping Julian post-Inquisition and approaching him under more benign circumstances) (used to be called 'sloanshir domestic abuse' but i've got another idea for that now...)
WIPs I keep thinking about:
2nd chapter of ‘A Minor Lapse In Judgement’ where Julian collapsed in the infirmary due to poor self-care. Feat. more hurt/comfort
Prompt - “I don’t trust myself to be good to myself right now, but I need someone to be good to me.” Conversations between Miles and Julian at various points in the series when they’ve hit rock bottom and need pulling out.
Chapter 2 of At Their Mercy. Alpha!Garak takes over with Omega!Julian where Kira left off… 😉😉😉
Short: While visiting the station, Miles talks with Ezri about how happy Julian seems…
Why Leeta Kept Kukulaka And How Julian Did Try To Ask For Him Back. A cute fluffy gap-filler where neither of them are in the wrong.
Pre-DBIP: a few moments where Julian’s unspoken issues with his parents cause friction for him but go unnoticed by his friends. Post-DBIP: a similar moment happens and is recognised for what it is. Featuring Julian + beets.
Short: Jadzia realises Julian’s developing a crush on Benjamin during past tense.
More of that Federation Rights of a Child thing I wrote, where a pregnant-with-Yoshi Julian realises he was abused during parenting class…
WIPs that are just kind of sitting there sadly (sorryyyy, you were lovely ideas at the time)
“Acts of God”: A runabout crashes on a planet where medical intervention is outlawed. Unable to help his injured friends and forbidden from alleviating the suffering he sees around him, Julian has a very bad time…
“Sloan’s planet”: Sloan is Julian’s s31 handler, sending him out on all sorts of missions… but the missions are fake, Sloan using the holosuite to manipulate Julian pretty much any way he wants…
Keiko + Molly + Julian + drawing post-DBIP. Julian’s not very good at it, and it’s a bit feels but a lot of fluff.
#andi will write#damnnnn#this has at least straightened it out in my head a little#bc some of these are in my folder but some of these are just in tumbr drafts...#and now i can at least try to focus on the top 5...#lol#as if that ever works 😅#wsb

The Village Elder’s Wife Becomes A Hungry Ghost
One day, while the Buddha was residing at Mount Gridhrakuta in Rajgir, Maudgalyayana, his top disciple in the use of supernatural powers, sat under a tree and meditated. While doing so, he saw a hungry ghost who resembled a burning pillar with an abdomen the size of a hill, a throat as narrow as a needle, hairs which intertwined with its body like sharp awls, and joints which perpetually burned with flames. The ghost roamed everywhere regardless of time, seeking human excrement for food, while groaning with pain and suffering from constant hunger and exhaustion.
Maudgalyayana asked the ghost, “What did you do in your past life to land yourself in such a state?”
The ghost replied, “The Buddha walks this earth, so you should ask Him. I am too overwhelmed by hunger and thirst to properly explain.”
So Maudgalyayana went to the Buddha, described the ghost, and asked, “O Exalted One, what deeds would land a sentient being in such a state?”

So Maudgalyayana went to the Buddha, described the ghost, and asked, “O Exalted One, what deeds would land a sentient being in such a state?”
The Buddha replied, “I shall explain the cause of her suffering, so listen carefully. Many kalpas ago [For further reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalpa_(time)], in a country with rich soil (Editor: the original article quoted 波羅㮈 but I am not sure how it was pronounced in Pali), abundant resources and a high population, there were no weapons or fights. There lived a kind village elder known for his benevolent and generous nature as well as his support for the Three Treasures (Editor: the Buddhas, the Dharma and the Sangha). One day, a monk arrived at the elder’s house begging for alms. As the elder had to leave to run an urgent errand, he could not serve the monk personally, so he instructed his wife to prepare good food for the monk and serve it respectfully on his behalf. His wife agreed to do so and told him not to worry. But in actual fact, parsimonious thoughts had arose in her mind, prompting her to say to herself, ‘If I were to serve good food to this monk today, he would probably come back to our house in the future. And I would hate to receive someone like that!’
So the elder’s wife told the monk to wait in the house, locked him inside, and only released him in the afternoon. As the official time for alms consumption had passed, the monk had to go on an empty stomach for the entire day [For further reading: https://pacifichermitage.org/support/__mealfaq/]. And due to this wicked deed, the elder’s wife became a hungry ghost when she died, condemned to a wretched existence for many kalpas. So, the hungry ghost which you have encountered today was the elder’s wife. Hence, all Buddhism practitioners should engage in the act of giving and avoid acting parsimoniously.”
After the Buddha’s sermon, many listeners dropped their miserly tendencies and resolved to break out of Samsara (Editor: the endless cycle of life, death and rebirth). Some of them attained the various enlightenment stages of Sotapanna, Sakadagami, Anagami and Arahant [For further reading: https://www.spiritrock.org/practice-guides/four-stages-of-enlightenment], while some resolved to become future Pacceka-Buddhas and Buddhas [For further reading: https://www.palikanon.com/english/pali_names/pa/pacceka_buddha.htm]. All monks and nuns who attended the sermon followed the Buddha’s teachings with joy.

Reflections
The Sutralamkara-sastra states, “Afflictions brought by unclean thoughts outnumber the karmic benefits resulting from the act of giving. Giving in to one’s miserly tendencies causes the highest incidences of unhappiness.” Greed held by the average man is limitless. By clinging on to one’s wealth and conducting all sorts of wicked deeds, we have been trapped in the endless cycle of Samsara and cannot hope to leave it. If we could maintain a respectful, sincere, tranquil and joyful attitude while engaging in the act of giving as well as fostering positive karmic relationships, we would be able to cut down greed and leave Samsara.

Maudgalyayana Saves 500 Hungry Ghosts
One day, Maudgalyayana, the top disciple in the use of supernatural powers, was begging for alms in the city of Rajgir when he encountered 500 hungry ghosts. The ghosts were very happy to see the holy man and requested for him to tell their families, on their behalf, that they were in a wretched state due to their lack of generosity, so their family members should set up a banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha, and that if they were too poor to do so, they should encourage others to co-sponsor the banquet. The organization of the banquet (Editor: And dedication of the resultant karmic merit by the organizers to the deceased) would help the hungry ghosts alleviate their current predicament.
Maudgalyayana asked, “What did you all do specifically to receive such a terrible comeuppance?”
They replied, “We were sons of the rich elders residing in the city of Rajgir, but we acted arrogantly, becoming indulgent in material enjoyment and were disrespectful towards the Three Treasures. Whenever the Sangha showed up in the city begging for alms, we would not provide food for them but also discourage others from donating because we thought the monks did not engage in the production of goods nor services. Also, we argued that since they were reliant on donations for sustenance, the monks would surely revisit those who donated the next time they needed alms. Due to our wicked act and wrongful reasoning, we took on the form of hungry ghosts after our deaths.”
Maudgalyayana said, “I shall relay your message to your families and request that they hold a banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha. Be sure to attend the banquet as well.”
And they replied, “As hungry ghosts, we are emaciated husks, possessing stomachs as huge as hills, throats as narrow as needles, and entangling hairs resembling warped swords which dig into our bodies. Our joints hurt like they are on fire, yet we have to roam around looking for food. Even if we do find food, it turns into putrefied blood whenever we approach. How could we possibly attend the banquet?”
Maudgalyayana then informed the hungry ghosts’ families of their plight. Everyone was saddened by the news so they decided to hold a banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha and dedicate the karmic merit to the hungry ghosts. On the day of the banquet, Maudgalyayana meditated and entered a state of jhana [For further reading: https://www.lionsroar.com/entering-the-jhanas/] and tried to locate the hungry ghosts within the multiverse but failed to do so. Puzzled by the strange occurrence, he went to consult the Buddha, who told him that the ghosts had been scattered by the karmic winds and that their whereabouts could not be determined by arahants. However, due to the karmic merit granted by the banquet which diminished their sins, the Buddha was able to create a safe zone for them to materialize. Shortly after the conversation, the hungry ghosts appeared at the city of Rajgir. Upon seeing their appearance, Rajgir’s citizens resolved to let go of their greed and to leave Samsara. Some of them attained the various enlightenment stages of Sotapanna, Sakadagami, Anagami and Arahant, while some resolved to become future Pacceka-Buddhas and Buddhas.
Next, the Buddha gave a sermon to the ghosts pertaining to the perils of holding onto greed and the merits of donating to the Three Treasures. During the night, the ghosts’ negative karma reserves were expended, causing them to be reborn in the realm of Trayastrimsa Heaven. The newly created 500 devas used their supernatural powers to examine their past lives and found out that they had attained this state of enjoyment thanks to Maudgalyayana’s efforts in kick-starting the banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha, so they dressed up in their heavenly regalia, descended to the human realm and made offerings of heavenly flowers to the Buddha and the Sangha. After making the offering, they sat down to listen to one of the Buddha’s sermons, gained a deeper understanding of the Dharma, performed 3 clockwise circumambulations around the Buddha in reverence [For further reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parikrama], and returned to their heavenly abode. After that, the Buddha informed the other attendees that the 500 devas were formerly the 500 hungry ghosts that materialized at the banquet held earlier on. The listeners were filled with joy at the news, and they looked upon the Three Treasures with admiration and increased faith.

Reflections
Venerable Xuanlü of the Tang Dynasty was such a meticulous keeper of the Buddhism precepts that devas would descend to the human realm to make food offerings to him. One day, the monk asked, “What deed in this realm brings the greatest positive karma?” To which the devas replied, “Making offerings to the Sangha.”
Venerable Xuyun, a great Zen Buddhism practitioner, also said, “The two treasures, the Buddha and the Dharma, rely on the Sangha for support. Without the Sangha, the two treasures cannot be made known to the world. Hence, making offerings to the Sangha brings the greatest positive karma.” [Editor: This statement is true as the Buddha is no longer alive. If the Buddha were still alive, then making offerings to Him would bring the greatest positive karma.]
By making offerings to the Three Treasures with a pure heart, we can earn an unbelievable amount of positive karma for ourselves and for our deceased ancestors, thus alleviating their plight if they are in a state of suffering.

Uttara’s Mother Becomes A Hungry Ghost
In the city of Rajgir, there lived a rich elder who married a member of the royal family. As he loved his wife very much, he would hire musicians and dancers to his house to keep her entertained. Later, his wife gave birth to a baby boy who grew up to be a handsome young man named Uttara. One day, the rich elder passed away, prompting Uttara to ponder, “Father had always conducted trading to provide for our family, but I am not interested in the art of the merchant. I am however a faithful supporter of Buddhism and I hope to be ordained as a monk.”
So Uttara approached his mother, hoping to get her consent to join the Sangha, but she said, “Your father is already dead, so all I have now is you. How could you leave me all alone like this? As long as I am alive, I will not allow you to become a monk. You can do as you please only after I have passed!”
Her refusal made Uttara very upset, prompting him to threaten, “If you do not agree, I shall leave this world permanently!”
Fearful of the threat, she relented and said, “Do not speak of suicide! From now on, whenever you want to provide food for ascetics, I shall prepare whatever you need for their sustenance. Is that fine with you?”
Uttara’s mother’s offer made him agree to postpone his ordination, and instead invite the Brahmins and the Sangha to his house frequently for meals.
Unbeknownst to Uttara who frequently traveled outside, his mother was irritated by their presence and would often scold them, “Every one of you, who do not engage in the production of goods nor services, can only rely on the donations of believers to stay alive. The sight of you irks me greatly!”
Following her outbursts, she would also dump the food prepared by Uttara on the ground and chase the ascetics away. Whenever Uttara returned home, she would tell him, “My child, while you were away, I served many ascetics with good food!”
This pleased Uttara very much and made him believe that his mother had been a generous donor.
Shortly after her wicked acts, Uttara’s mother passed away, but became a hungry ghost due to her heavy karmic debt. After her death, Uttara followed through with his resolution to become a monk. As he was a very diligent practitioner of the Dharma, he soon attained the enlightenment state of Arahant. One day, while meditating in a cave next to a river, he encountered a hungry ghost with a dry and charred mouth. Suffering from hunger, thirst and pain, the ghost said, “My son! I am your mother.”
Refusing to believe this claim, Uttara said, “That is not possible. My mother was a generous donor who supplied many ascetics with alms. She could not possibly be cast into the realm of the hungry ghosts!”
The ghost replied, “My son! Due to my miserly tendencies, I refused to provide alms while you were traveling. After my death, I became a hungry ghost and went without taking a single drop of water nor a mouthful of food for the next 20 years. Whenever I approach a river, its waters would recede from me; and whenever I approach a fruit tree, it would wither. Oh, my suffering has been indescribable!”
Uttara asked, “Why did come to this?”
His mother replied, “Although I did supply alms previously, I acted with an unwilling heart, and sometimes I even berated the ascetics, hence my actions had led to such a predicament. If you could display penance for my sins on my behalf by organizing a banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha, this would alleviate my current state.”
Uttara took pity on his mother and persuaded donors to fund a banquet for the Buddha and the Sangha. At the end of the banquet, Uttara’s mother appeared before the Buddha, displayed penance, and listened to a sermon given by the Buddha. After the sermon, the ghost was filled with regret, completing her sentence as a hungry ghost, and transformed into a floating spirit dressed in a bejeweled robe and a majestic crown. She then approached Uttara and said, “My negative karma reserves are not yet fully expended, so I cannot leave the ghost realm yet. Please hold another banquet to provide food and bedding for the Buddha and the Sangha on my behalf, so that I may finally leave this realm.”
So Uttara organized another banquet where he prepared food and bedding for the Buddha and the Sangha. At the end of the banquet, the ghost appeared once more before the Buddha and displayed penance for her sins sincerely.
That night, the ghost ended her lifetime in the ghost realm and was reborn in the realm of Tusita Heaven. The newly created deva was curious about her past life and used her supernatural powers to examine her past life. Upon doing so, she discovered she had Uttara to thank for her blissful state of enjoyment. So she dressed up in her heavenly regalia, gathered heavenly flowers, descended to the human realm, approached the site where the Buddha and the Sangha resided, and donated the flowers to the holy men and women. The Buddha gave an enlightening sermon about the Dharma, which enabled her to attain the enlightenment stage of Sotapanna. Filled with great joy, the deva performed 3 clockwise circumambulations around the Buddha and flew back to her heavenly abode.
The Buddha then told the tale of Uttara’s mother, enabling certain members of the Sangha to renounce their miserly tendencies, hence attaining the various enlightenment stages of Sotapanna, Sakadagami, Anagami and Arahant. Some of them resolved to become future Pacceka-Buddhas and Buddhas. All who attended the sermon followed the Buddha’s teachings with joy, and henceforth could not be tricked into forsaking Buddhism.

Reflections
The Metaphor Chapter of the Lotus Sutra states, “Greed is the principle reason behind various forms of suffering.” The cause of suffering arises whenever we allow greed to flourish. There is a saying which goes, “When a bodhisattva gives, he does so with impartiality.” Donating is a great counter to greed. It allows the giver to let go of the self, expand their magnanimity, and distribute benefits by leveling the field. Hence, frequent donation keeps greed in check, cuts the path to a multitude of defilements, and creates an ever broadening path in life.
