It seems weird with all the alone time and social distancing that I would need the practice of stillness even more. But I do. ⁠ ⁠ My environment may have fewer people and less activity, but my mind and soul definitely don't. I need stillness and I'm still learning how to do it. ⁠ ⁠ Becky Eldredge's definition was a big piece of the puzzle in trying to figure out stillness: "Contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition is about being still and silent with someone- God. We do not enter silence, stillness, and solitude alone. We go to be with someone." @beldredge98⁠ ⁠ Stillness is about recognizing the presence of God who is already there. ⁠ ⁠ Stillness: I stop.
