Leaving town for a hot second, time for airport taco adventures. I've never been to a Pappasito's Cantina before but I'm glad I gave their breakfast menu a try. Super friendly staff, including Julia, who recommended the fajita tacos next visit.

The tacos were really good. I didn't expect while sausage pieces, and it was tasty, but I think I liked the steak better. It was tender and moist and peppery and the salsa added a light heat and smokiness that rounded out the filling tacos.

It's been a busy week for #AntonMataeo: . - Last weekend, he turned #9monthsold . - His bottom two teeth finally pushed through and you can see them in a few of the pics . - He had his 9 month well visit. He weighed 19.9 lbs, he is 27.5" long and has caught up with his peers and now is in the 50 percentile (he was previously in the 20 percentile) for growth trend. He is also passed all his development benchmarks with flying colors! . - He embraced his #italian heritage and had spaghetti & meat sauce for the first time. As always, we cooked Nana's recipe. She only would use @contadina products and I've carried on that tradition, We can never get her flavors exactly like hers, I've come really close, but she also would stew her sauce all day long . Nana and Daddy (Anton would have called him #pappasito) would have loved to see what a great eater he is. It's moments like this that make me sad they aren't here to enjoy and love on him. I have a favorite memory of Nana teaching me how to twirl the noodles around the fork. She would also put extra cucumbers in her salad just for me bc I loved them so much. Anton loves cucumbers too! She would always customize things she cooked especially when she knew what they liked. . - This little precious one has also entered into the phase (so I've been told it's a phase) of not wanting his diaper changed and twists, rolls. kicks, screams. He's like, "i can't just lay in here Mama I got some business to do that does not involve you changing my diaper." I'm highly considering to start #pottytraining early after several mom's have suggested that to me that is the best solution once he can't stand he can start learning this #lifechanging task! . - He definitely is learning to walk across furniture holding on for dear life. . WOW! Pounds of SIZZLING MEAT Platter Greatness 👊 Texas Locations. 😋 Trey's Chow Down took a ride over to chow down on the " Family SIZZLING Platter " offered at all @pappasitos Cantina locations. They offer 2 family platters and both or loaded with meaty deliciousness. I heard the platter coming and my mouth started watering. Then I saw the smoke from the sizzling meats and vegetables. WOW! My mind went into full tilt Foodie Boogie because it smelled like meaty deliciousness and looked like heaven on a platter. I was truly SHOCKED by the amount of proteins and vegetables we received. They said it would feed 4 people but truly it's more like 6 or 7. Platter #2 is includes: Fresh Quail, Fresh Beef Fajita meat, Fresh Grilled Chicken meat, Fresh Jalapeño Cheese Sausage, Mexican rice, house beans, fresh cut jalapeños, fresh prepared quac, and we added extra sour cream and shredded cheese. We enjoyed the fresh Chicarones with house queso and chili Con-Queso. Talk about a FULL MEAL DEAL! JUST WOW! Everything on the platter including the Quail was savory, meaty, succulent deliciousness.
