Everything I Published in 2023
After a long hiatus, I finally got back into creative writing this year -- and what a busy year it was! I published eight pieces on the SCP Wiki, including three entries in The Eternal MxTape. Here's the rundown:
Somewhere Empty: In this black comedy, Mx. Wren Masterson hitches a ride into Utah to settle the score with two anomalous terrorists.
SCP-6476 — Let A Die Be Cast!: Codename NEMO infiltrates a TTRPG group that plays with probability-bending dice. Shenanigans ensue.
NTE-2858-Cyan-Blaecca — "Village Jeweler": The Global Occult Coalition fights for control of "Other London", a Victorian-era asteroid colony populated by anarcho-syndicalists. Charles Babbage is there, and he's a real jerk.
So we sang the chorus from Atlanta to the sea: A hard-nosed Union investigator and a merrymaking veteran haggle over a miraculously compelling one-man band. An alternate-history tale cowritten with ch00bakka for RemixCon2023!
SCP-2444 — Flea Circus: A traveling venue for extradimensional misfits and unloved merchandise. Rewrite of a Series III article by Anonymous.
SCP-7492 — No Matter Where You Live: Post-secondary students receive disembodied reminders of their stress and turmoil. This popular entry was written in the style of SCP Series I.
Nightmare on Archer Row, Part 2: Movie night becomes a fight for survival when "Mr. Slasher Villain" crashes GAW's Halloween party.
The Lambton Ghoul: An eccentric groundskeeper is pushed to his breaking point… and beyond. A "Canadian Gothic" horror story presented in wiki format. Winner of Unofficial Paracon 2023!

File: Unbreakable
SCP#: AFS
Code Name: The Unbreakable
Object Class: Prodosa
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-AFS has evaded capture due to the actions of Person of Interest: Mr. Glass and more recently Group of Interest: The Serpents Hand. As such, until capture is proven possible, SCP-AFS will be labeled as Prodosa and no containment procedures have been made at the moment.
Description: SCP-AFS is a humanoid anomaly that was seemingly born with his anomalous abilities, the simply manifested over time. he has indestructible skin able to deflect bullets, prevent harm form fire, and resist damage form the heaviest or sharpest of melee weapons. However, SCP-AFS is not indestructible, not only can he not swim but he grows weaker when his body is covered in water. Even in his weakened state SCP-AFS is mostly indestructible but he can be drowned very easily.
Though SCP-AFS is strong and durable, he also has the anomalous ability to read minds. When he has physical contact with someone, he can see everything they have done especially crimes they committed. This allows him to see who deserves to be taken down, as he has a strong sense of justice.
SCP-AFS was discovered in 2000 when he was reported to be the sole survivor of a train crash that should have been impossible to survive. Furthermore, he survived with not a single scratch or burse on his body. From there he became a Person of Interest with Foundation agents watching over him to observe his anomalous abilities. However, as his anomalous abilities came to light the agents were unable to grab him due to seemingly random deaths.
Agent Garro one of the first agents to watch over SCP-AFS was ran over by a bus that should have seen him. Apparently, it's engine was rewired to be controlled by someone else ensuring he got ran over.
Agent Shadow was sniped by a mercenary who also claimed to be a conspiracy theorist. He got an anonymous tip from on the main Parawatch site that there was a "man in black" trying to kidnap an innocent child and probe him. He was captured and assigned to D Class.
Agent Treni was ambushed by a gang from Group of Interest: The Serpent's Hand. One of the members was later captured and he confessed he was told by a "Mr. Glass" that a meta human was in danger and Agent Treni was trying to kill him. He was deemed too dangerous, so the Department of Strategic Redemption did not assign him to Mobile Task Force Sigma-66 "Sixteen Tons". He was instead assigned to D Class.
Agent Nato was caught and attacked by a sexual assault criminal; she easily killed the criminal but by the time she got out of his house she had lost SCP-AFS's trail. In the house was found Agent Nato's pictures as well as photoshopped photos of her naked. Somone by the name "Mr. Glass" sent the photos to have the SAC pursue Agent Nato. She had no signs of developing trauma, but as a precaution she was assigned a week of leave and a daily therapy session during as well as weekly sessions afterwards.
Agent Ryland was assassinated by a GOC agent. The GOC was given an anonymous tip that Agent Ryland was an agent of the Black Queen's Insurgency. This was proven to be false. The GOC had to surrender the agent who is now in Foundation custody as a D class. She will only remain D class for 3 months and used in weapon and armor testing experiments. Afterwards she will be assigned to Mobile Task Force Sigma-66 "Sixteen Tons" by order of the Department of Strategic Redemption... if she survives by then.
After losing 4 outstanding agents and nearly losing a 5th to trauma it was decided to deploy Mobile Task Force Hera-7 "Hero Killers". Unfortunately, they were ambushed by Group of Interest: The Serpent's Hand. Like all the incidents they were tipped off by "Mr. Glass" who is apparently a regular at the Wanderer's Library therefore almost impossible to track.
It is unknown how this "Mr. Glass" keeps anticipating Foundation investigation but he is now placed on the Person of Interest Watchlist. As for SCP-AFS, from the minimal data gathered around him it was clear he was an anomaly, so he was labeled as such. However, each time Foundation agents and MTF units try to bring him into containment Parawatch, The Serpents Hand, or regular criminals intervene one way or another. As such, until a way to proper way to contain him can be developed, he is labeled as Object Class Prodosa.

Do you have any favorite scp groups of interest? And any GOI format entries you reccomend? I love a lot of those.
I am a Parawatch fan first and a person second. I think my favorite Parawatch stories are the ones by The Great Hippo, but honestly, I like most of them! I’m always fond of the fantasy of being this close to discovering a fantasy world, and the Avenue of having them be these easily ignored conspiracy theorists struggling to find the supernatural works well for me.
I used to have a ranking system for GOIs but it’s years out of date and I’m too lazy to fix it. I do also like reading Ambrose restaurant menus/reviews from time to time though.

normal nineties style sitcom, where the plot is some by the numbers thing of like a group of friends who go through drama and halfway through the second season there's an episode where they all are going to some mall and halfway through the episode suddenly all the extras are gone, the main characters act confused as the environment around then constantly shifts into a darker and darker environment barely even resembling a mall and slowly the characters are separated still in a daze of confusion where they can't recognize eachother themselves or each other. ending with all of them in different rooms with completely black walls, all wailing as the colour drains from even their own bodies. and then the new episode is just a normal episode but for the rest of the run, occasionally the camera just holds on the faces of the characters for too long, their expressions twisting slightly.

I really love scary stories about weird/scary videos. like it's just a flowery transcript it seems like a boring concept but something about the... detachment from the original (weird/scary) event has such a good creepy vibe. presenting bizarre or horrifying things so matter of factly. and I guess it makes like visualizing the events easier than with standard prose so you have clear images of the scary shit. idk. idk how to describe it. it's just one of my favourite creepypasta niches lol.

parawatch is one of the more interesting GoIs in scp wiki cuz it leans more into the horror aspects, but it’s annoying that it’s described as a wiki and yet there is only one (1) article that actually utilizes the wikipage format. otherwise it’s portrayed as a forum in GoI formats. like come on

How does the outside world react to the disapperances of these people? Or does Krampus take those where it wouldn't be an issue?
Do you know how many people go missing every year? Crazy thing is that Fae kidnappings only make up a small portion of that. The Archivists of the Arcane Frontier (or simply the Arcane Frontiersmen) do try and document these otherworldly disappearances the best they can. They're...not so much a SCP Foundation equivalent as they're more like Parawatch, or the Magnus Institute, or Cafe and Diner.
