Why is Arthur a single father to all of these cosmic horrors.

John trying to murder Arthur’s new boyfriend because he’s jealous reads like a kid being mean to the new step-dad because he’s not ready for dad to start dating yet

Arthur’s whole speech about how John is literally just a child who is still learning to handle his emotions

Arthur admitting that he failed to properly guide or mould Yellow (like a father admitting he’s messed up with his son) also makes the scene with Yellow back at the cabin funnier in retrospect because Yellow tries to be all intimidating and Arthur is like -_- alright kiddo that was a fun bit of bravado now sit down and eat your fucking veggies because you’re not doing shit

John’s “Scratch is looking at you like…a lost child” fucking hell im sad. “Arthur you were…my favourite” everyone drop everything that’s just a baby please sir retrieve your nightmare son from the creepy portal lady he’s scared and lonely

Arthur is just single-fathering the one son that still lives with him trying to do better

Yes I do understand that this is probably has a lot to do with him failing as a father with Faroe and his intense codependency on John but let a girl live okay 🤌

Also yeah this does make shipping John and Arthur a little weird because Arthur clearly thinks of John at least a little bit as a son, or a little brother if nothing else. Found family Jarthur and QPR Jarthur for the win at least we still have AngelEyes (I choose to believe they come back to each other after everything even if it doesn’t happen in canon)

Does anyone else think that the woman Scratch absorbed into on the other side of the gateway (in The Tear, part 38) could be this Mother Darkness? On one hand having a god-level threat acting through the human world is something we haven’t had since the KiY was first trying to chase them down in season one. On the other, I would love for them to be terrified of her coming to get them only for her to be thankful to them for freeing her (assuming the realm of gods situation she’s presumably in works differently to mortal linear time and she already experienced those “future” actions in her personal time)

On a third hand, it could be Mother Darkness who doesn’t rememeber and is trying to kill them and through their actions they’re the ones who end up trapping her in the first place, making the fact they free her in the future a hilarious joke to her with who knows what consequences.

I’m happy Oscar survived but I’m so sad about the angeleyes breakup 😭 even if it’s for the best to protect Oscar 😭
