thank you so much for these!! and thanks for your patience as well waiting for me to respond. n.n let's see, what more can i say about yunsol's gay stash as it were.

so as a brief overview: yunsol comes from a sort of… traditional, conservative family. so she has not come out to them yet, in fear of them rejecting her. as a result, she started a "stash" of things when she was a preteen, and has been adding it since. some things get taken out and used or given away, and some things stay and are more permanent parts of the stash. she moves the location of her stash every so often, to ensure it stays hidden and unknown. so without further ado:

♡ yunsol seong's sapphic hoard ♡

valentine's day themed cards and stationery, decorations, collectibles, food, and drinks. yunsol loves valentine's day--the concept and aesthetic of it, and she daydreams about sharing a valentine's day with a long-term partner, which she has not done yet. some items she keeps in her stash because she wants to gift them to said partner someday.

manhwas & mangas centered around sapphic romance... the good and the bad. she's desperate for content. she doesn't have a lot of physical copies of these, but she cherishes what she has. she often buys them brand new, since they are hard to find.

literature, aka used books with cracked spines and dogeared pages bought from thrift stores or markets, including 'annie on my mind' by nancy garden, 'the price of salt/carol' by patricia highsmith, 'carmilla' by j. sheridan le fanu, 'and playing the role of herself' by k.e. lane, 'tipping the velvet' by sarah waters, the list goes on. she's building quite the library.

movies, thrifted like her book collection, including 'but i'm a cheerleader', 'desert hearts', 'bound', 'saving face', 'better than chocolate', and the honorary 'legally blonde' and '10 things i hate about you' because of elle woods and kat stratford and no one else.

cut-out articles, magazines, art by queer artists, photos of her celebrity crushes... her real celebrity crushes no one knows about.

remnants and articles from dates she's been on; unused napkins from restaurants or cafes, bookmarks from book stores, movie tickets, lipstick swatches, plastic jewelry from vending machines, heart shaped chocolate and gift boxes, photo booth pictures, old love letters and notes passed in classes, etc.

her diary, which is full of the most sumptuous Tea and is her most gayest possession period.

What is the biggest change in your current iteration of PDaSK? I've heard there's a train involved!

Yes!

Originally, Dagney went to Rinwey for help searching for a cure for Bensith, mostly because Dagney knew Rinwey has the most technologically advanced kingdom, and she thought she could use her budding ambassador skills to relate to him, only nope!

Then, recently, the train came into play, only it's kind of for a short time. The train is used as a means to get Bensith to Takev, the kingdom of allies King Bardeth and Queen Desta. Once Rinwey learns Dargon has left the safety of his own kingdom, he sends assassins out to get rid of his own personal pest; but Dargon (with Veluthe and Branndt) are able to fight off the assassins (and Dagney does too once she sees one ready to hurt her brother). Originally with THAT plot, Dagney had to deal with the sudden, blistering rage that someone had gone so out of their way to hurt her family, and she went ALL the way from Takev to Gelleshire (essentially, taking control of that train to go the distance of Morocco to WALES) to personally throw hands with Rinwey.

As much as I love Dagney going feral; it seemed like Dagney suddenly kind of assumed an idiot ball, and I think at some point on that journey, it would hit her that 'maybe this isn't a great idea'. She IS training to be an ambassador after all, but I did (and still do) like the juxtaposition that she had to harness anger she'd never felt after preaching peace for so long. She has lived a very privileged life of royalty; however she is aware there are people who don't like her family.

BUT

Now, while the attack on the train still happens, Dagney is reeled in by Dargon, who tells her the difficult truth that, yes, this is the reality they must face; the reality he's faced for his whole life, and even his twenty years as king. Their main concern is Bensith, and as long as he is safe and able to get the help he needs, that's what matters. While in Takev, Bardeth tells Dargon that one of his old medical students has a compound they need to make Bensith's cure. Dargon takes the train to this kingdom and receives it - but on his way back is ambushed and taken to Gelleshire. When Dagney learns about what's happened, she then goes on her journey there herself in order to help her father and to hopefully convince Rinwey to let him go.

Rinwey, in the middle of sentencing Dargon, is interrupted by Dagney, who begs for mercy from Rinwey; who sees her Ward Pin. Rinwey, feeling particularly horrible, gives Dagney the decision of who goes to Hell: Her or her expecting father? After all, a princess with a Ward Pin should be given as many chances to show her skills in decision making.

Dagney, knowing her father has the compound for Bensith, decides to take her father's place.

However, the ones transporting Dagney and her father are Rinwey's twin sons, Colme (for Dagney) and Olerqus (for Dargon)

And Colme isn't all that fond of these old notions of Shapeshifter hunting.

06. when did they realize they loved each other?

some background context here, for those who don’t know: bree met the boys through her mom and april, in a tiny AU adjustment where april’s sister (bree’s mom) pulls a "casey’s mom" and figures out the boys exist in “the trouble with augie” episode. one thing led to another and bree became friends with the four of them.  she left an impression on don in particular because upon first meeting them, bree was not scared of them, but instead behaved in an upbeat, warm, and friendly manner, if a bit curious–all of which they would all come to know as a default setting of hers. she is also a creative person, much like don is, and is passionate about her own creative projects. a combination of all of that plus her becoming familiar and affectionate with them in little time contributed to don’s own growing affections and observations about how cute and pretty he thinks she is… and it only got “worse” from there. actual photo of don realizing he has a crush (rest in pieces, nerd):

as for bree… she first related to him on a deeper and more personal level because she empathizes with the concept of hyper-fixations and needing outlets for her creativity and “alone time” to cater to those needs. her and don initially really bonded over that, but she also grew to appreciate how he would always listen to her and validate her thoughts and feelings outside of that stuff, too. not a lot of people outside of family have really been like that for her… and who wouldn’t develop a huge crush on the soft-spoken nerdy boy with a heart of gold who is a great listener?

18. what song fits them perfectly?

like leomin, i don’t really have one specific song that i think suits bree and don perfectly. but some songs that i associate with them are: “a sky full of stars” by coldplay, “simply the best” by the hound + the fox, and “science & faith” by the script.

19. how do they deal with being away from each other for a long time?

pretty well most of the time! they’re both introverted af and get pretty deep into their respective work. they’re definitely a “has plenty to do when they’re not together” sort of couple. donnie with his science-ing and his engineering and inventions, and bree with her art and her hobbies and socializing with her (human) school friends. and then they get to talk all about it once they meet up again, and it’s a great time for both of them. they could go maybe a week or two without seeing each other, but that would be bree’s personal limit before she invades the lair without warning a sprints a straight line towards don’s lab to hug him for ten minutes straight (everyone gET OUT OF HER WAY–)

27. what random everyday object/activity makes them think of each other?

some things that makes don think of bree: paint (the sight and smell of it) and paint brushes; art supplies in general. apple cider. the stars. aquariums. the color yellow. quirky little knick-knacks. snails and platypuses (some of her favorite animals). sweet, citrus smells. almost anything that glows in the dark or changes colors (i.e. glow in the dark stars you put on walls and ceilings, mood rings, etc). some things that makes bree think of don: computer parts. the sight and smell of coffee. tools. the smell of gasoline. the color purple. circuit boards. submarines. text books and how-to books. math and science homework. car parts. computers. goggles. going to garage sales or yard sales (she almost always buys something for him at one of those!)

30. what is their favorite place to kiss the other? (cheek, hand, closed eyelid, neck, nose, etc.)

bree looooves giving cheek and nose kisses, especially dozens of butterfly kisses at once. don also really likes to kiss her on her cheek, as well as along her jawline, the corners of her mouth, and her earlobes, because they're easy to reach when they're standing up (bree is slightly taller than him), and the latter makes her giggle.

40. who makes the other smile with almost no effort at all?

bree is very, very good at this, and not just with don. but since this is about the two of them: bree understands that sometimes, distractions can be better for your mental health on the short-term. so on bad days, she will talk his ear off about her day, or her current paintings, or she will read something to him for a while, like a book or a graphic novel. and it almost never fails to make don smile.

08. what’s one way their personalities compliment one another?

leo and min-ji are both gentle souls with a lot of empathy in their hearts and love for their designated families. and both of them have a tendency to give people the benefit of the doubt or give them second chances… even if they may not deserve them.

18. what song fits them perfectly?

i struggle to think of a song that fits them perfectly, but a few songs i associate with them are: "the witching hour" by the ready set, "still into you" (cover) by meadowlark, "beautiful creatures" (piano cover) by illenium and max, and "feeling alone in a room full of people" by xeuphoria.

27. what random everyday object/activity makes them think of each other?

the color blue is definitely a mutual color association for them (min-ji being more navy blue, and leo being more royal blue). i also feel like min-ji would have a “favorite mug” at the lair that she drinks tea out of whenever she sticks around for a while… and leo makes a POINT of keeping the mug safe and clean for whenever she comes over. min-ji also associates candles with leo, especially when they have more subtle and ‘cozy’ scents to them, like vanilla or sandalwood. other things: classical music, fantasy books, chocolate. (note to self: make a post expanding on this subject so that this answered ask doesn’t get too long…)

30. what is their favorite place to kiss the other? (cheek, hand, closed eyelid, neck, nose, etc.)

min-ji loves forehead kisses–giving and receiving them. leo enjoys kissing her hand and knuckles (and, as you've pointed out to me, he kissed her hand before he even kissed her… weh i cry™)

40. who makes the other smile with almost no effort at all?

i think both of them are equal in this, but it also depends on the context. for one example: if min-ji is having a particularly anxious day, it can take some time to pull her head out of it and help her relax, no matter who is trying to make her smile or “loosen up”. but since leo seems to manage his stress a bit better than min-ji can manage hers, it makes it easier for her to make him smile (imo).

05. What’s their most useless, weirdest, or least marketable skill?

she has… so many. The first thing to come to mind is that she likes to make her own paper fortune tellers for fun, including color schemes and descriptions. They are usually random and utterly counter productive (as opposed to deliberate and productive paper fortune tellers). You know, those things that you would make in elementary school.

08. If they were an animal, which one would they be? Which one would they think they’d be?

i think bree thinks that she would be a platypus since that’s her favorite animal, but i hold firm that she would be a golden retriever with a bit more energy than your average golden retriever. that’s just her as a person, her essence if you will.

22. are they a dog person or a cat person — or something else?

bree appreciates and loves both; in her old neighborhood, a cat named ‘cool bean’ would come by often to sunbathe on her porch or be fed, and so she has fond memories of him. sometimes dogs can scare her by being too loud or energetic, but more often than not she is a fan of both! bree didn’t really have her own pets growing up, but she was constantly surrounded by all kinds of other peoples’ pets, ranging from cats to dogs, to rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, to chickens and ducks… the list goes on.

23. what’s one childhood memory they’ve never forgotten?

there was a period of time when bree was very young where she and her mother, june, were essentially homeless and slept over at many people’s houses and traveled everywhere, living out of their volkswagon van. a lot of times, this sort of living situation would spell disaster or even go so far as to create childhood trauma, but bree was very lucky in that sense. june made a lot of friends with good, warm, supportive and open minded people. they lived like that for a few years until bree’s grandfather passed away and june inherited enough money to be able to buy them a house in portland, oregon.

47. are they an early bird or a night owl? 

most definitely an early bird! bree has been naturally waking up every day around 5 am for as long as she’s been alive, regardless of what time she goes to bed. she enjoys watching the sun rise and having long, productive mornings.

60. What are some of their simple pleasures?

bumblebees lazily flying from flower to flower. sunny spring days. the smell of freshly cut grass. hot apple cider in a pretty mug. the feeling of paint or wet clay in her hands. making wishes on dandelions and blowing them away. unexpected hugs. glow in the dark star decals. people watching. giant sunflowers. pairing bananas and nutella together. collecting small things from nature like rocks and mushrooms. the texture of softly worn paint brush bristles. the color yellow. when natural light shining through a window creates a rainbow, or rainbows after it rains. words of affirmation that are laced with kindness. making friendship bracelets. peeling an orange and being able to share it. peanut butter.

04. where do they see themselves in five years? ten?

after her accident and a few other select life events, min-ji has developed a complicated relationship with thinking about the future. however, her tentative plans remain more or less the same: she wants to be able to go to school for music (crosses fingers for julliard). she would also like to be a professional, or at least freelance musician, who not only releases her own albums but perhaps makes soundtracks for all sorts of media, such as video games, cartoons, and movies, preferably for indie creators and studios. she’s very into the idea of collaborating with other artists, musical or otherwise. she wants an enriching, passionate life with other creatives, where she’s built up and where she can build up others.

10. what do they fantasize about?

i’ve already semi-answered this question in a way, but to add on to it: she wants to be able to live comfortably and have her own space. she has a very close knit, and at times borderline overbearing family, and it would be nice for her to get her own apartment, or maybe even just a studio she can escape to every once in a while. min-ji would love to have a space where she can establish her own rules and boundaries that are not dictated by others or her living situation. she also wonders about being able to help support her family financially someday, especially her parents and grandmother; she wants to be able to take care of them when they’re older and not have them worry about it.

11. who’s the most important person in their life?

there are many important people in min-ji’s life, but the one with the deepest and most long lasting impression would definitely be her grandmother, soon-hee. she began teaching min-ji how to play the piano when she was about five years old, and not only did that stick, but min-ji branched out and became further invested in music. over a decade later, min-ji continues to play the piano and writes her own music, and even plays the guitar as well. a good chunk of her family is musically and artistically inclined, and that’s all thanks to nana.

14. what’s their favorite book genre, if they enjoy reading at all?

min-ji loves to read! she enjoys memoirs, as well as fantasy that isn't too dense, magical realism, and mythology retellings. she also likes to delve into sci-fi on occasion, mainly in the sub-genres of cyberpunk, dystopia, and space travel. she is usually pretty open about reading other genres as well, but she avoids thrillers and horror like the plague.

39. what’s one skill they wish they had?

there are many times when min-ji wishes she was more athletic and skilled in martial arts, namely after she meets our four favorite boys and sees what they can accomplish with such a skill set. it’s something she improves on over time with master splinter’s help, but she mostly does it to keep in shape and to have a bit more advantage in situations that call for self defense, not to mention it helps her feel like she has some control and power in her life. she doesn’t have the time or the energy to fully commit to significantly improving these skills, and she’s usually at peace with that, but every once in a while she wishes she could be able to do even a quarter of what the guys can do.

60. what are some of their simple pleasures?

the adrenaline rush she gets when performing her music. the certain texture and softness of a rabbit’s fur. her grandmother’s cooking. birdsong, especially that of blue jays. having a hot cup of matcha every morning. the smell of hyacinths. the weight of newly checked out library books in her arms. reading about and applying flower language. listening to music from a turntable. being present in friend or family gatherings, but not an active participant in them. being able to read and write outside with a snack. playing a song she wrote in full for the first time. having her hair and makeup done for her. riding her bike in a scenic location. taking her contacts out after a long day. growing plants and flowers from seeds. ‘death by chocolate’ sort of cakes. companionable silence.
