I'd like to be more informed on changing local infrastructure, especially regarding pedestrian safety and tree law, but I don't know where to start.
The crosswalks in this city are absurdly ill-planned death traps. Three houses in the same block within the same year got their roofs caved in by old, overgrown trees.
I'm pretty sure these are like. The ur-example of efforts an individual could partake in to make the world just the tiniest bit better. At the same time, I feel these are issues worth being educated on first

When I'm angry at something I can't do anything about I take a minute to find a huge cunt who stopped his huge car right in the middle of the crosswalk even though the light is green and I slap his car and he opens his window and insults me and I scream "YOU'RE PARKED ON THE CROSSWALK AND THE LIGHT IS GREEN" and he insults me some more and I flip him off as I leave. It's like meditation but better

Going to conventions in large city centers is so frustrating. Drivers will literally do anything to avoid respecting a crosswalk.
I'm going to start cosplaying as myself with a realistically painted brick prop, and just grip it firmly whenever I see an asshole in a nice car getting a little too uppity.
It'll be made of something harmless like styrofoam. But they don't need to know that.

You ever cross an intersection that's only crowded in the direction perpendicular to you and feel like you're being impolite?

nothing pisses off drivers quite like being made to wait for a few extra seconds or, god forbid, longer than a minute.

I made a post like over a year ago when I still lived in Boston about Boston drivers being awful where I said that Boston pedestrians were also the worst pedestrians I’ve ever seen and constantly jaywalking to the point of like. walking into oncoming traffic and weaving around cars. And then like a few weeks ago someone commented randomly on my old ass post like “until we build cities that don’t cater overwhelmingly to cars I will continue to jaywalk” like I hear you about car culture but also I’m not trying to be killed by a 2000 pound hunk of metal by deliberately stepping in front of it without a care in the world
