Here's how I see that thing between Deanna and Pelor:
If you're the type of god who believes in unflinching commitment to Good, maybe you shouldn't feel so bad when you have a cleric who will look you in the eye and tell you when you're in the wrong.
Demanding Perfect Goodness from Pelor is EXACTLY what someone who truly believes in Pelor SHOULD DO.

Is no one gonna talk about the parallels between the Dawnfather and Uk'otoa? Like they both bring a person back from the dead/the brink of death and force them into their servitude, then when that person starts making their own life choices, they use the threat of taking their powers away to make them toe the line. Basically, I'm hoping Deanna starts taking lessons from Prism and ditches Pelor to become a wizard.

One of my greatest pet peeves is when someone aggressively commands me to do something as if I'm an idiot who wasn't gonna do it already, so you can imagine the deep loathing that the Dawnfather spawns within me

I know I'm not the only one but of all the things that happened in last week's episode, Deanna's commune with the Dawnfather took me OUT the most
I was absolutely losing it for those few minutes because she's been saying "oh it's complicated!" the whole time we've known her and Aabria did a great job with making this a character development moment for her where we see the culmination of all the external anti-gods influence Deanna's been getting from the people around her (plus of course her own internal struggles)
and her phrasing with all the questions was so DIRECT and ON POINT it felt like she rolled a nat 20 on an intimidation check against Pelor
also loved throughout the whole storyline seeing Matt pull a Brennan with the whole "hey maybe organized religion isn't actually that great when it perpetuates violence and harms others??"

Deanna: “I feel like I need a chill god, because the Dawnfather is all like, ugh, and-”

TURN YOUR GAZE FROM THIS SINNER. HE HAS BETRAYED HIS KIN.

I love how differently Matt expresses the Changebringer vs the Dawnfather’s call to action. Makes me so curious about how the other gods are doing it.

Critical Role: The Prime Gods' Threats and Manipulation
When FCG communed with the Changebringer she manipulated him. She told him that straying from her path would lead to him being alone in the dark. Then there's what the Dawnfather told Deanna, he threatened to take away his gifts and to have faith in him even when he lies. He blatantly said that she should have faith in him even when he lies, that's not faith that's manipulation. Threatening to take away his gifts if they don't follow his orders is basically saying that everthing they've done up to that point to earn those gifts isn't enough and he demands more. The way they're acting shows signs that they're less interested in doing what's best for the people of Exandria and are more focused on protecting themselves.
The way those gods acted showed that they're willing to abuse the trust and faith given to them for their own purposes by using fear and threats. It seemed like the Changebringer knew exactly what to say to FCG to maximize his fear in order to manipulate him. She said he'd end up alone and it seems like that's what FCG is most afraid of. It's even stranger that she did that, since he's so new to her faith. It's like she acted as if he'd be lost without her even though she's barely had any influence on his life.
Those gods were acting as if even though all their worshipers believe in and have faith in them they have little faith in their worshipers. The way they were acting was less like they're working together with their worshippers for the greater good and more like they're using them.
If that behavior continues it could be a lot easier for the people working agaisnt them to convince their followers the gods aren't there for them and are just using them. They'd lose followers and their power would lessen making it easier for Predathos to be freed.

PELOR THE DAWNFATHER: Faith needs neither logic, nor truth, but unerring conviction!
IOUN THE KNOWING MISTRESS: Bro, I’m standing right here.

On a serious note, it would be fascinating to see more of how even the Prime Dieties have friction points with each other’s doctrines sometimes.
The Dawnfather definitely needs to dial it down a bit, though.
