Learning Every Single Day.

Something a close friend said today had me thinking. She was being honest and real, which is a quality I respect in a person. "My friends said something about you the other day that got me upset. That's why I just didn't want you talking to then anymore. It made me think, 'if they say this about her... What are they saying about me behind MY back?" Look. This type of shit happens all the time. You start hanging out with a new group of people and there will always be someone that has something to say. It can be either positive or negative. My point is, I keep learning that not everyone is really your friend. You always have to watch your back and choose your friends wisely. I've had to deal with this in high school and USUALLY, I was the confrontational type BUT this is fucking college. If someone has a problem with the way that I am, why waste my breath hanging with that person anyway? Here is my advice to you. You can't please everybody and if someone doesn't like you, don't even bother. You are too grown for petty shit. Surround yourself with people who are honest and real. People who like you and accept you for who you are. People who will guide you in a positive direction. People who actually care and show that they do. After all, life is too short to live thinking we gotta change our ways just to please other people. Back in the day, I would have confronted the person but right now at 22 years old, i decide to move on to better things by surrounding myself with human beings that discuss ideas, passions, and not SHIT about other people. I live my life to the fullest so if someone has a problem, keep on movin' along then. I'm still doing me. 🙌🏼👑
