i enjoy how in the percy jackson fandom whenever the demigods are being drawn they are given outfits and accesories that play homage to their godly parent (e.g nico with ghouly tshirt motifs, percy with shell bracelets) when in canon these demigods are wearing an assortment of shirts and pants that they find at the bottom of a bargain bin at target, whatever that has not been destroyed in the recent war or camp shirt.

SUUPPPPER LONG HEADCANON ABOUT WHY ANNABETH LOSES HER DAGGER IN MARK OF ATHENA

The reason Annabeth loses her dagger in Tartarus is not just because it fell, but because the dagger was a gift from Luke. Even as a child, Annabeth always loved Luke, as an older brother and even had a crush on him for a little while. She owned the dagger since she was seven years old, which is just as long as she's known Luke. The dagger is a symbol of Annabeth's love for Luke. Even when she fell in love with Percy, she still loved Luke. In Cabin 1 in the Lost Hero Jason mentions how Percy Jackson must not have been the only boy Annabeth ever loved. Annabeth always blames Hermes for the reason Luke died, and even for several years after his death, still thinks about him. In the Mark of Athena when Annabeth and Percy fall into Tartarus, they have known each other for seven years. In the Lost Hero she still has hope despite the fact that he is missing from Camp, and spends days searching for him, cursing Hera for his dispapearance. In MOA when Annabeth and Percy fall into Tartarus, Annabeth loses her dagger because she is no longer in love with Luke. Her one true love is Percy. IN THIS ESSAY I WILL...

see, I should've gotten into the PJO books when I first started reading The Lightning Thief like 7 years ago, because it seems so fun to make self inserts and AUs and fantasise but now as a 20+ year old I can't imagine not depressing myself out of the daydreaming because of the overwhelming grief I feel whenever I see just how young these children are!!
