There was once this line in a book that I read: “Perhaps it is true that we do not really exist until there is someone there to see us existing, we cannot properly speak until there is someone who can understand what we are saying, in essence, we are not wholly alive until we are loved.”

There is always that specific entity that makes us whole and alive as a person, but as human as we are, we cannot fully understand that entity unless you declare it by conviction and faith. This Mandala took me 2 days to make, and to tell you honestly, it still wasn’t my best. I believe that the things that the things that makes me whole are in complex forms that I myself can’’t even understand, but I always wanted to. That is why this mandala radiates many lines as it progresses into the final output. My life serves as an ocean (that is why there is a picture of an ocean behind the circle), I though I have gone through a lot, but in reality, it was just the beginning. I badly want to travel what’s out there and what life would be on the other side, but it should be earned and it would not be easy. 

The color blue usually signifies sadness, bruises and brokenness. But on the flip side, I see it as the things that what makes me happy and alive. It signifies tranquility and courage that I seek everyday. The color green is what makes me a Lasallian by choice, I am absolutely molded by the institution since 2010 and now, I want to illume myself as a great epitome of a true Lasallian that I will never forget my education, my mentors and my Alma Mater. 

What keeps me going are the people that surrounds me, the experiences that built and destroyed me & the reflections that constantly keeps me wondering at night. To sum up everything, this Mandala signifies the wholeness in me. Just like in the famous classic Lion King  “the circle of life” we all are in an endless cycle of life, sometimes we’re up and sometimes we’re down. But those challenges and successes  should not  be taken for granted, I used it for my own advantage and for others. Without all other entities in life, it only means that I can’t be truly, genuinely experience wholeness without others. But remember, it always starts from within us.

EKSPEKTASYON

Future kinit, you have reached the age of correct thinking and can understand others already. Significant people around expressed their thoughts of what they expect from me. I have realize that there are things of me that I need to develop. All those negative thoughts of me. Even though I hate that others expect from me, because I don’t like disappointing people. But then, I just realize that I should give use this as a motivation to do better. People always see me smiling but they don’t see what’s is behind it. They expect me to be what I am now and I should never give up on the things I want.
