Nice work on the collection of Peteena posts! I hope one day they bring Peteena back, but not in a weird “reimagining” way like the reboots of shows like Scooby Doo or an ultra-expensive collector’s edition.

Maybe they’ll do a whole nostalgia collection where they bring back original discontinued toys like they have done with Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony. Or they bring her back for the 60th anniversary that’s not that far off from now. Also thank you.

I'm obsessed with this failed poodle doll from the 60s, Peteena. She's so cute!! I would time travel specifically to get her.

If Hasbro ever brings her back, they better hire me srsly. I have passion and experience drawing fashionable furries. Even won a few competitions back in the day.

Here's the Peteena doll I bought from @pandorkful-dolls finally rerooted after spending a month bald. I ended up removing her wires too as they affected her hip and shoulder joints and also because I didn't wanna bring rusty wires in a doll when I went through airport security lol.

I know the original Peteena dolls had wool fibre for hair but I figured since she came to me bald I could have a bit of fun with her and so I gave her poodle bangs and a vintage style ponytail like Barbie. I did tight pin curls using bobby pins and teased them out.

I also curled the ends of her ponytail to echo the her bangs and I'm really happy how it came out.

She uses Iceberg White Synatra from @customdollhairAU which is always a lovely fibre to use especially for tight curls like this.
