My recent features in @allure @harpersbazaarus @vanityfair swipe 👈🏽 As a black Muslim woman I want to point out that I do not feel protected. I do not feel protected by the men in my community nor do I feel protected by the system that exist. I was raise by my single parent mother to be strong, and suck it up never cry because you cannot depend on a man to do what they where created to do . It is this, that made me the woman I am today. It has made me strong for me, and not for the rest of the world. Just for me, you see I cannot hold the world on my shoulders and nurture the entire humanity. I want to with open arms, it is just not conducive for my health mentally and spiritually. I have come to realize that I can live without fear and without giving so much of myself whilst spreading love to through my humanity. I have become a woman that only needs Allah to feel safe and strong I have become a woman who doesn’t depend on a system to get justice I have Al-Hakam for that; with everything that has been going on for centuries I owed it to myself to write myself a short letter of intentions and reminders for the future me and for the future women who need to heal and remember why they exist and remember why you are a gift to the world. Hey! I can't find any body positivity for guys, and the only ones that I do find are just text posts which don't help me. I'm looking for blogs that post pictures of guys and spread positivity, do you know any?

Unfortunately, I can’t find many on tumblr, but I know bopoboy on instagram is a really good resource. Bopolena (lenadirscherl on tumblr) posts body positive illustrations for people of all genders and makes a point to make posts specifically for men. Peterdevito on instagram is a male photographer who makes body positive content that includes men (but isn’t exclusive to them). 

I just spend a good while trying to find any other body positive accounts aimed at men, because I was sure I was following a few, but I can’t seem to find any more, unfortunately :( I really wish that there was more male body positivity out there, but I have a feeling there will be more in the future. If anyone has any resources to add here then please reblog this and do so!
