WAIT ZOE i have to tell you about how bandom nearly ruined my life. so basically you will sometimes see me talk about how much of an influence pete wentz was to who i am as a person and it's one of the truest things. i actually would not be on tumblr if it wasn't for him and ahomeboyslife and his campaign for obama against clinton also got me interested in politics.

ANYWAY in 2007 i was 12 years old and that's when i got into bandom. at the time the only way for me to save fic was by printing it out in size 4 font and keeping it in those clear file folders. one day my dad tells me he's cleaning the whole house including my room. i realise i can't have my explicit peterick mpreg fanfic around that day so i grab a huuuge bag and put two giant fic folders in and take it to school with me.

no joke because my mums a nurse i am always the first student to get to school. i sit there for twenty minutes before the second student comes in. we start talking. more students come. i get lost in socialising. eventually the bell rings and i go to class. halfway to class i realise i'd forgotten my two giant folders of bandom fanfic near the schools office. i rush back and ask the office ladies if they've seen it. they tell me my ENGLISH TEACHER took it with her.

im hoping to god my english teacher did nkt open it at all but god was Not with me because she opened the folder and i had sorted the fics by my favourite at the time and my favourite at the time was an explicit mpreg peterick (it still exists and i have a link) and the first word was "fuck" and the first scene was sex and ANYWAY there was so many fics she thought i was distributing porn to my classmates and when she found out this was just me she sent me to my first ever therapy session with the school counsellor. luckily she did not tell my parents but i made sure ny grades were SO HUGH so that they never attended one parent teacher meeting. i won the english award that year.

the worst part is i never got the fics back she apparently shredded them.

and that's now bandom nearly ruined my life.

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

Ooohhh, this is a tough one, tbh - I think it mostly depends on what they're into, but necromancer au is probably one of the best things I've ever written, imo, and it has some great worldbuilding and a super hot sex scene so you get a little bit of everything that I'm good at in re: writing

5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now!

Ooohhh lets see, what do I wish someone had asked me about necromancer au, hmmmm. Well, I was surprised why no one asked me why werewolves eat the old Alpha when they become the new one and the answers are two-fold, really: 1. it's to help stress the fact that werewolves aren't human, even tho they look like them a lot of the time, 2. there's a thing in this verse called 'living memory of the pack' and it's a time of magic that's specific to werewolves that allows Alphas to share memories, i.e. Owen 'inherited' all of Jamie Benn's memories when he killed him and ate his body the night Owen became Alpha; Benn had all of the memories of the Alpha that came before him (Mike Mondano), and so on and so forth. The Pontchartin Pack has an unbroken line of Alphas back to the late 1700s, so Owen, as the newest Alpha has access to every Alphas memories from back then until present day, hidden in a part of his brain until he needs them for whatever reason (the same magic that makes it possible for humans to become werewolves also help him with that).

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

omg you're gonna laugh your ass off, but I used to HATE a/b/o and mpreg 😂😂😂😂 and then one day someone went into the comments on one of peterick fics and said something along the lines of "thank god you don't write any of that disgusting a/b/o fic, I would hate to have to stop reading your stuff" and I was like OH YEAH BITCH and wrote Come Get Me and the rest is history lmaooo

Oh my gooodddd you’re speaking my language fuck me up 

They weren’t trying for a baby. Honestly, with a job like that, who would try for a baby? They’re always in danger, and when they aren’t in danger they’re preparing to be in danger, and that really just doesn’t leave a lot of time to keep a kid safe and happy. However. When Pete figures out he’s pregnant (Which takes much longer than it should, honestly; he just assumes that he’s getting sick so much because he’s been eating so much as well, and if he’s gaining weight, well he’s eating basically enough for three men! It just makes sense! And he’s stressed, so of course he’s eating a lot!) all thoughts of keeping his mob alive and running fly right out the door, and thoughts of keeping this baby in him alive and running replace them basically immediately. Patrick, for his part, is fucking terrified. He wasn’t even sure he wanted kids in the first place, mob or no, but when Pete’s doctor walks out to cheerfully announce that Pete is having not one, but two fucking kids, Patrick can’t help but feel something warm and sweet mixed in with that cold terror running through his veins. Maybe it’s the way Pete’s entire face lights up, or maybe it’s the thought that they’ve created life together, the fact that growing inside of Pete are two tiny humans that are part Patrick and part Pete, but whatever it is, Patrick is suddenly and completely enveloped in the need to keep his family safe. He’s scared, scared of being a bad father, scared of someone wanting to hurt his children to get to Pete and himself, but he’s also excited in a strange way, and he’s not going to let anyone or anything take that away from him
