Philippine Political Observer Herman Tiu Laurel wrote an Article for the Chinese “Global Times (GT)” News Publication recently titled, “China-Philippines ties may improve, as long as US stops interfering”. Here are some selected Excerpts from that Article:
“It should be noted that Tensions between China and the Philippines began in early 2023, when retired US Air Force Colonel Raymond Powell, with the help of the US Office of Naval Research, conceived a "Cognitive Warfare" Operation known as "Project Myoushu."”
“The Modus Operandi was to provoke Deterrent or Police Action from the China Coast Guard. Philippine Coast Guard Vessels or privately hired Ships attempted to smuggle prohibited Materials or violate Fish Sanctuaries, which are restricted for Conservation Purposes. These Philippine Vessels also transported Western and Filipino Media to film, report, and denounce China's actions as "Bullying."”
“Powell, the Chief of the US Project Myoushu, openly admits that the Aim of his operation is to exact reputational costs on China and generate international support for the Philippine Cause. However, both Efforts have failed. According to the State of Southeast Asia 2024 survey, compiled by the Singapore-based ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in April, over half of Southeast Asians now prefer to align with China rather than the US. ASEAN Member Countries are critical of the Philippines' unilateral and disruptive Activities.”

So, technically speaking, ever since the pandemic broke, I never left the house except that time when I had to work in the office and the latter provided shuttle services. Anyways, this the first time I went out. I was trying to contract the #habalhabal services when I noticed the #edsacarouselbus and some members of the #philippinecoastguard dutifully keeping busses and assisting people .... #motorcycles and #busrides A #gisellescablechannel and #gisellestagram moment (at Family Mart, Mckinley Hills) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWcAZUXBXK_/?utm_medium=tumblr

Bloodline
by: Merryl Lynch G Mendoza
It’s dark, the sun is barely up but my mother is already nagging me to get up and start the day with a jog. I groaned my lazy self off my bed, mustered all my effort not to fall back asleep again and got ready in the slowest way possible, delaying the inevitable. It’s mortifying to step off our house since I’m accompanied not just but my mother, but also my father, sister and even our dog just to check that I really perform my morning run and not just walk around town. This has been the daily routine in our house for a month now, and in every single day, I dread it. I abhor the very thought of having to exert my effort into something that I do not personally want to be a part of. It’s hard when you’re the only member of the family who’s not in the uniformed service.
For the longest time, my reaction towards entering the uniformed service has been an argument inside our household. I used to detest the very thought of having to follow what everybody else in my family was doing. I was the only one who never showed an interest nor really cared to become a part of any of the government service. I wanted to carve my own name, in my own field, in my own way. But how foolish of me to look at it that way. How ungrateful of me to react in such a scornful way. How inconsiderate of me to only think of my present happiness. How thoughtless of me to respond to the idea negatively. I have successfully evaded applying for different services for two years but no matter how I push it away, I still ended up here.
Unlike in the movies, I never really had a defining moment wherein my opinions shifted and all of my despised thoughts vanished into nothingness. I just slowly absorbed it all and let it into my system. Maybe the months of nagging, scolding, and constant reminders from my parents actually worked. I somehow realized what their intentions were for. It was never their intent for me to enter a path that I would loathe in the future but it was for me to go through a challenging path that will leading me to a brighter future. My parents were not there to force me but rather they were looking out for me. They were not doing this for themselves, they were doing this for me. For all of these things, I am forever grateful for their perseverance to push me beyond my comfort zone.
However, the pressure and expectations does not end when you finally accept the challenge of entering the service, it’s even amplified by tenfold. You are expected to pass all the thorough qualifications because both your brother and sister already successfully passed it, you are expected to be physically fit since you have been preparing for it for an ample amount of time already, you are expected to be prepared for anything since you have both your parents at your back supporting you and most of all, you are expected to be accepted because it’s in your blood.
I may have felt that I was expected to be in this career, I may have resented my parents for their desires, I may have hated this line of work, I may have thought of a thousand things more but right now, I am gratified that I have looked beyond those, and took on the challenge to surrender myself into something that I have no interest in. Service to our country does not run through genetics nor it be inherited, it is one’s own choice to surrender his life for the country.

Here are Excerpts from another Article that the Chinese News Organization “Global Times” made recently about the Philippines, the United States (US) and Taiwan:
“The establishment of a Coast Guard Station so close to the Taiwan Island is clearly a move by the Philippines to cooperate with the US in monitoring the Taiwan Straits and to threaten the Chinese Mainland. The US uses the Philippines to monitor and provoke China. The establishment of the Coast Guard Station can be seen as a Substantive Step, Chen Hong, executive director of the Asia Pacific Studies Center at East China Normal University, told the Global Times. It is a preparation for creating tension in the Taiwan Straits, Chen added.”
“The South China Sea and the Taiwan question are Affairs related to China's National Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity, which are Red Lines that cannot be crossed by any Country. The Philippines holds Fantasies of attempting to pressure China by interfering when it comes to the Taiwan question, forcing China to retreat or make Concessions on Matters related to Territorial Security. The Philippines still does not realize China's Firm Stance on Red-Line Questions and continues to hold onto its Naive Decisions. The Actions taken by the Philippines will only lead to a Crisis in the Luzon Strait."
“The US, which appears to protect the Philippines behind the Scenes, only sees the Manila as a Tool to confront China in the South China Sea, pretending to be an all-powerful Mastermind, manipulating the Philippines to provoke China and disrupt the Region, said Ding Duo, a Deputy Director from the Institute of Maritime Law and Policy at the China Institute for South China Sea Studies.”

Hello amazing people! For the past few days, our country Philippines has dealt with typhoons and that has caused a great of damage due to unexpected floods and strong winds. Now, a province in the North Western part of our country is literally experiencing 15ft of flood and is now submerged in water. Cagayan Valley was not directly hit by the typhoon but its effect on us is also beyond imaginable. Our people are starving, our livelihoods are destroyed, our houses are submerged, and our “resiliency” is at the brink of total hopelessness. And this is all happening in the midst of the global pandemic. We need you! We need all the help we can get. Please help us. #RescuePH #CagayanNeedsHelp #IsabelaNeedsHelp #TuguegaraoNeedsHelp #PhilippineAirForce #ArmedForcesOfthePhilippines #PhilippineRedCross #PhilippineCoastGuard #DZMM #RescueMission #UlyssesPH #PAWS https://www.facebook.com/100008546324837/posts/2420187744942746/?d=n https://www.facebook.com/100002381806886/posts/3500408020048557/?d=n https://www.instagram.com/p/CHjVU3TBj7P/?igshid=d9kpvbfvxzmt
