Mail fri yay chill out
A) anon, I am not good on matching Blackhawks faces to their other halves so far. I have found recently that Kurashev looks differently than I thight. I thought he is Murphy lol.
Now..i have problems mixing up Entwistle with Murphy and two beared guys, not Jujhar Khaira but A Anastasiou with other guy
Tumblr media
B) anon I think Seth Jones is more handsome than Caleb. Caleb is more like his mum Seth more like a dad Ronald ,Popeye, although not spitting images or big ears lol I am not going into race or colour details bcs it is always mix and there are three boys but let's say Seth has more Afro-American look after that and Caleb is more white but I think Seth is better looking and nicer. I was just surprised he has a round face in the helmet compared to Tazer. The helmet does not suit him lol
Tumblr media
C) anon they are bad actors, wooden Muppets, so Kaner. His bum bag is horrible, I just miss his suspensor lol. And kicking into the car whenever he gets his toddler tantrum bcs they have had a soccer session. Tazer jumping up and down like some puckbunny before kicking a silly ball and then celebrating like scoring gold OT goal in Vancouver.
Tumblr media
D) anon she is horrible towards Tumblers, not just me with her erotomania and WAGs. Ten years old obsession with Crosby but so throwing tantrums about Tazer or more about Kaner etc. She wants wag lifestyle defo but gosh...missing not just a reality check and her seniority...the athletes NHLers are 10 years younger lol well, up to Tazer. Young wants. Older Ashley can than...old man cannot and young girl does not know lol...
Tumblr media
E) anon, Draisaitl scans the right circle in front of the rival team's net to score majority of his chances and goals . Yeah good point by you..he answered the hot tube before Chicago game and he got a soccer jersey when Chicago Blackhawks hosted FC Arsenal. Chelsea (London) goalie Petr Cech. Smelling goal chance I assume...

Hi Abby I got a question because stumbled across this post by accident. Where did he get that hat from? Is Nico friends with someone from Russia or maybe he bought it just for fun? God! Sooo many questions! But this man clearly likes bathhouses 0_0
i believe his friend phillip kurashev, who is both swiss and russian, probably gifted it to him or something along the likes of that! he does love them and so do i🤭
someone sent me an ask about the other day but i couldn’t find it when i went to answer it 😭

Hockey Cards for Sale!
I have a variety of hockey cards for sale if anyone is interested! Some are older players from the 90s, some are more recent ones. Since they can fit into letter-sized envelopes, I’m selling them for a small amount (mainly just to cover postage and envelopes, especially for those out of Canada). This can be paid through my Ko-Fi (via Paypal), and I’ll give the link for those interested.
Cost depends on where you live (i.e. in Canada or elsewhere), how many cards you want (any more than 5 will be sent in more than one envelope to avoid issues in mailing), and whether you want them sleeved or unsleeved.
Within Canada:
1-5 cards: $2 unsleeved, $3 sleeved
6-10 cards: $3 unsleeved, $4 sleeved
11+ cards: $5 unsleeved, $6 sleeved
Within the US:
1-5 cards: $3 unsleeved, $4 sleeved
6-10 cards: $4 unsleeved, $5 sleeved
11+ cards in the US: $5 unsleeved, $7 sleeved
Any other country:
1-5 cards: $4.50 unsleeved, $5.50 sleeved
6-10 cards: $5.50 unsleeved, $6.50 sleeved
11+ cards: $6.50 unsleeved, 7.50 sleeved
I can and will send pictures of the cards people ask about/want. I will also send photo proof of the envelope being mailed once payment has gone through. Lists are found under the cut:

2018 World Juniors rosters and key players to watch
The tournament begins Tuesday in Buffalo.
If you needed a warmup to get into international hockey before the 2018 Winter Olympics, the best young players in the world will have you covered at the 2018 World Junior Championship tournament. The United States will be looking to defend its title on home ice in Buffalo after a thrilling victory in Montreal a year ago.
The World Juniors is an annual under-20 tournament featuring junior national teams full of top prospects. It’s a great chance to watch some extremely gifted players in an intense competition as they represent their countries. Even if it’s not quite star-studded like an NHL-backed Olympic tournament would be, the talent level will be high.
And for NHL fans, the tournament is always a stellar opportunity to keep up with the future of the game. Many of the players in Buffalo will go on to become NHL stars. If you want to get a leg up on your friends when discussing the 2018 draft, then following the World Juniors is a good place to start.
With that in mind, here’s a quick look at every team competing in the 2018 World Juniors, along with a key player to watch on each roster. NHL rights are included in parenthesis.
United States
Roster
Forwards: Ryan Poehling (MTL), Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris (SJS), Casey Mittelstadt (BUF), Joey Anderson (NJD), Kailer Yamamoto (EDM), Patrick Harper (NSH), Logan Brown (OTT), Kieffer Bellows (NYI), Riley Tufte (DAL), Trent Frederic (BOS), Max Jones (ANA)
Defensemen: Ryan Lindgren (BOS), Quinn Hughes, Adam Fox (CGY), Dylan Samberg (WPG), Scott Perunovich, Andrew Peeke (CBJ), Mikey Anderson (LAK)
Goaltenders: Jake Oettinger (DAL), Joseph Woll (TOR), Jeremy Swayman (BOS)
Key player to watch: Quinn Hughes
There are a lot of must-see talents on Team USA, including Mittelstadt, Norris, and Yamamoto, but Hughes stands out because you’ve probably never seen him before. The University of Michigan star is a top prospect for the 2018 NHL Draft, and projects as a possible top-five pick. He’s undersized but makes up for it with amazing skating and puck handling. This will be the first chance for a lot of fans to see him up close, which should be exciting.
Canada
Roster
Forwards: Dillon Dube (CGY), Jonah Gadjovich (VAN), Boris Katchouk (TBL), Maxime Comtois (ANA), Taylor Raddysh (TBL), Tyler Steenbergen (ARI), Drake Batherson (OTT), Michael McLeod (NJD), Brett Howden (TBL), Sam Steel (ANA), Alex Formenton (OTT), Jordan Kyrou (STL), Robert Thomas (STL)
Defensemen: Jake Bean (CAR), Conor Timmins (COL), Cal Foote (TBL), Cale Makar (COL), Dante Fabbro (NSH), Kale Clague (LAK), Victor Mete (MTL)
Goaltenders: Carter Hart (PHI), Colton Point (DAL)
Key player to watch: Robert Thomas
Team Canada lacks the usual star power you’d expect from the world’s biggest hockey powerhouse, but it’s still a solid roster full of top prospects. Thomas, the No. 20 overall pick in the 2017 draft, stands out given his scorching start in the OHL. The versatile center has 46 points in 27 games for the London Knights after averaging a point per game last season.
Sweden
Roster
Forwards: Marcus Davidsson (BUF), Tim Soderlund (CHI), Glenn Gustafsson, Elias Pettersson (VAN), Linus Lindstrom (CGY), Fredrik Karlstrom (DAL), Alexander Nylander (BUF), Isac Lundestrom, Jesper Boqvist (NJD), Axel Jonsson Fjallby (WAS), Lias Andersson (NYR), Fabian Zetterlund (NJD), Oskar Steen (BOS)
Defensemen: Rasmus Dahlin, Erik Brannstrom (VGK), Timothy Liljegren (TOR), Linus Hogberg (PHI), Gustav Lindstrom (DET), Jesper Sellgren, Jacob Moverare (LAK)
Goaltenders: Filip Gustavsson (PIT), Filip Larsson (DET), Olle Eriksson Ek (ANA)
Key player to watch: Rasmus Dahlin
Get ready to hear his name over and over. Rasmus Dahlin. It’s a great name for a prospect so talented he’s like the Connor McDavid of defensemen. Dahlin already has a treasure trove of ridiculous highlights on YouTube and he doesn’t turn 18 until April. The consensus projected No. 1 overall pick for the 2018 NHL Draft is a special prospect, and he’ll be a leader for Sweden despite being one of the youngest players on the team. Expect this to be a fun precursor to his leading role in Pyeongchang before he makes his NHL debut next fall.
Russia
Roster
Forwards: Vitali Abramov (CBJ), Andrei Altybarmakan (CHI), Georgi Ivanov, Artur Kayumov (CHI), Klim Kostin (STL), Mikhail Maltsev (NJD), Artyom Manukyan, Alexei Polodyan, German Rubtsov (PHI), Marsel Sholokhov, Dmitri Sokolov (MIN), Andrei Svechnikov
Defensemen: Nikolai Knyzhov, Nikita Makeyev, Artyom Minulin, Dmitri Samorukov (EDM), Alexander Shepelev, Vladislav Syomin, Anatoli Yelizarov, Yegor Zaitev (NJD)
Goaltenders: Vladislav Sukhachyov, Mikhail Berdin (WPG), Alexei Melnichuk
Key player to watch: Andrei Svechnikov
There’s little doubt who will be the star player for Russia in Buffalo. Svechnikov is widely expected to be the first forward selected in the 2018 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old has 14 goals in 16 games with the OHL’s Barrie Colts this season, and could be a prime contender to lead the tournament in scoring if Russia can make a deep run. Between Dahlin, Svechnikov, and Hughes, you’ll potentially be able to see the top three draft picks for next year.
Finland
Roster
Forwards: Juha Jaaska, Janne Kuokkanen (CAR), Otto Koivula (NYI), Kristian Vesalainen (WPG), Joona Koppanen (BOS), Eetu Tuulola (CGY), Eeli Tolvanen (NSH), Markus Nurmi (OTT), Aapeli Rasanen (EDM), Joni Ikonen (MTL), Aleksi Heponiemi (FLA), Jere Innala, Rasmus Kupari
Defensemen: Miro Heiskanen (DAL), Robin Salo (NYI), Eemeli Rasanen (TOR), Juuso Valimaki (CGY), Olli Juolevi (VAN), Urho Vaakanainen (BOS), Henri Jokiharju (CHI), Kasper Kotkansalo (DET)
Goaltenders: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (BUF), Lassi Lehtinen, Niilo Halonen
Key player to watch: Miro Heiskanen
The Heiskanen hype train rolls into Buffalo this week. The Stars’ 2017 first-round pick is already playing a starring role in Finland’s top league at age 18 and will likely be the country’s top defenseman for the 2018 Winter Olympics in February. Heiskanen has elite-level NHL upside, and this will be his first chance to put it all on display for a North American audience.
Czech Republic
Roster
Forwards: Filip Chytil (NYR), Filip Helt (STL), Martin Kaut, Krystof Hrabik, Petr Kodytek, Daniel Kurovsky, Jakub Lauko, Albert Michnac, Martin Necas (CAR), Radovan Pavlik, Kristian Reichel, Ostap Safin (EDM), Marek Zachar, Filip Zadina
Defensemen: Vojtech Budik (BUF), Jakub Galvas (CHI), Libor Hajek (TBL), Filip Kral, Radim Salda, Ondrej Vala (DAL)
Goaltenders: Milan Kloucek, Josef Korenar (SJS), Jakub Skarek
Key player to watch: Filip Zadina
The Czech Republic boasts a pair of 2017 first-round picks in Chytil and Necas, but its best player may be Zadina, the 2018 draft-eligible prospect who projects as a potential top-five pick. He’s been adjusting to the North American game this season with 46 points in 32 games in the QMJHL, and NHL.com gives him a (likely unreasonable) comparison to Patrick Kane. This could be a breakout opportunity for the 18-year-old.
Denmark
Roster
Forwards: Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup, Valdemar Ahlberg, Christian Mathiasen-Wejse, Jonas Rondbjerg (VGK), Lucas Andersen, Nikolaj Krag (STL), Joachim Blichfeld (SJS), Daniel Nielsen, Andreas Grundtvig, David Madsen, Magnus Molge, Phillip Schultz, Christoffer Gath
Defensemen: Oliver Larsen, Malte Setkov (DET), Christian Larsen, Jakob Jessen, Jeppe Mogensen, Rasmus Heine, Lasse Mortensen
Goaltenders: Emil Gransoe, Mads Soegaard, Kasper Krog
Key player to watch: Jonas Rondbjerg
One of just two Golden Knights prospects in the tournament, Rondbjerg will also likely be Denmark’s best player. The 2017 third-round pick is already playing a steady role with the Vaxjo Lakers in the SHL, Sweden’s top league, as an 18-year-old. He has seven points in 25 games this season.
Slovakia
Roster
Forwards: Erik Smolka, Samuel Bucek, Viliam Cacho, Filip Krivosik, Milos Kelemen, Adam Liska, Marian Studenic (NJD), Peter Kundrik, Adam Ruzicka (CGY), Samuel Solensky, Alex Tamasi, Milos Roman
Defensemen: Tomas Hedera, Martin Bodak, Martin Fehervary, Marek Korencik, David Matejovic, Michal Ivan, Vojtech Zelenak, Samuel Fereta
Goaltenders: David Hrenak, Jakub Kostelny, Roman Durny
Key player to watch: Adam Ruzicka
Part of the dying breed of big-bodied power forwards, Ruzicka might’ve gone higher than No. 109 overall in the 2017 draft if he had been playing this well a year ago. The 6’4, 203-pound winger has a team-leading 20 goals and 142 shots on goal in 34 games for the OHL’s Sarnia Sting. He’ll be leaned on heavily on the power play for a team looking to improve upon last year’s eighth-place finish.
Belarus
Roster
Forwards: Viktor Bovbel, Vladislav Ryadchenko, Alexander Lukashevich, Igor Martynov, Arseni Astashevich, Sergei Pishuk, Yegor Sharangovich, Ivan Drozdov, Vladislav Mikhalchuk, Maxim Sushko (PHI), Artyom Anisimov, Ilya Litvinov, Dmitri Grinkevich
Defensemen: Andrei Gostev, Vladislav Sokolovski, Dmitri Deryabin, Vladislav Martynyuk, Vladislav Yeryomenko, Dmitri Burovtsev, Vladislav Gabrus
Goaltenders: Dmitri Rodik, Andrei Grishenko, Vikita Tolopilo
Key player to watch: Maxim Sushko
Belarus only has one player whose rights are held by an NHL team, so it’s not difficult to pick which player to focus on. Sushko, the Flyers’ 2017 fourth-round pick, is a talented winger with 16 goals in 28 games for the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack this season. He’s not going to get much help in Buffalo, but he’s worth keeping an eye on.
Switzerland
Roster
Forwards: Nicolas Muller, Guillaume Maillard, Marco Miranda, Justin Sigrist, Ken Jager, Valentin Nussbaumer, Axel Simic, Sven Leuenberger, Nando Eggenberger, Philipp Kurashev, Andre Heim, Marco Cavalleri, Dario Rohrbach
Defensemen: Simon le Coultre, Davyd Barandun, Tobias Geisser, Nico Gross, Elia Riva, Tim Berni, Dominik Egli
Goaltenders: Matteo Ritz, Akira Schmid, Philip Wuthrich
Key player to watch: Tobias Geisser
Switzerland is a candidate for relegation by the end of this tournament, and its lack of potential NHL talent is a bit reason why. Nico Hischier is no longer around to carry this group, which finished seventh a year ago. The one guy who stands out is Geisser, a 2017 fourth-round pick by the Capitals who brings a ton of size (6’4, 201 pounds) and a big shot to the table.

The thought of who I thought you were It makes me sick I'm feeling like I lost a limb A piece of me is gone and I don't think I'll re-attach it
_
phoenix had been blindsided. blindsided by it all. they did not understand, at all. the version of connor that they had apparently dreamt connor up to be was false, oh so very false. they'd never thought once that connor would or could do such a thing. especially with who his parents and sister were, his friends on the team who thought of him as a young brother and pulled him under his wing the second he got there. but all hockey players are the same, right? phoenix believed they'd never move on and heal from this, there was no way right? phoenix didn't know how they could move on as if nothing had happened, especially since connor didn't think twice or think to think of them.
-
But nothing hurts like that shit It's hard to wrap my head around The fact that you've been making me look back Playing the victim like it wasn't you who fucked up what we had And lit the match like it was nothing Left me feeling gutted
_
since the moment they'd figured out about connor cheating, they could not help but look back at the two year relationship. was every moment a lie? was it all fake? was phoenix just a place holder until the real one came along? it hurt them beyond belief, to have to do all of that. how could this be? is this for real? were the two questions they played over and over in their mind, for the next few months afterward. phoenix was just confused about it all.
then connor, oh sweet innocent connor debued the perfect pictured esque girl to the world, and made everybody believe that the girl was his light at the end of the tunnel. that it was phoenix's fault that they were not together anymore and that it was phoenix's fault that connor had moved on with her. phoenix let their thoughts and feelings be heard with kevin korchinski's girlfriend taylor, who had been even more shocked to hear what connor had done. taylor couldn't believe that the connor that kevin gushed about, was completely different.

"oh fuck you, connor! what the hell were you thinking?!" taylor screamed at connor as kevin tried to pull them to leave the dinner that connor threw for a few of the young guys. alex vlasic, frank nazar, phillip kurashev and nolan allen. not to mention their partners. "you're gonna act like an angel when you're far from it?!" she screamed, "and you! you're not much of a girl's girl as you claim to be!" she screamed at the girl that had been introduced to the group tonight for the first time. "you fucking pig, connor!" taylor screamed before kevin grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the luxury apartment. "fuck you kevin, why didn't you let me finish, huh!" she screamed at her boyfriend who only sighed in response. she was about to talk back towards the door as she saw red, but kevin only held her hand to keep her from going. "because if you do that, then ill have to answer to connor. and possibly harm our friendship, tay." he said pulling her into the elevator. "if it was any other circumstance, and us getting along was not apart of our job - i'd give him even more of my mind babe." kevin said as the elevator closed. "what?" she questioned, looking at her boyfriend. "when he told a few of us, oh i was seeing red, i heckled him so badly he had to leave the room. and then when he posted her, i gave him more of my mind as well." he said and taylor calmed down a bit. "come on, lets go see phoenix." he said pulling her out onto the 2nd floor and pulling her towards phoenix's and her roommates apartment.
-
"he fucking ruined me." phoenix said as they nursed their spiked drink, before chuckling. "i should of known it was coming, fuck." they cried. taylor frowned while kevin looked at the ground, "he claims to be a victim but he's far from it." phoenix's roommate natalia said walking in and sitting next to phoenix on the couch. "god, i wish somebody could break him like a twig." natalia said grimly before chugging her drink. "he ran with it, without a second thought. no care in the world for me especially since our relationship wasn't as private as i had wanted. but what connor wants, he gets." phoenix sighed. taylor nodded understanding and knew how much she fought with connor and how much he 'flaunted' the relationship via social media. "he didn't care how much it broke me, not a second thought or look back to see how it affected me."
_
phoenix had been finishing cleaning up the kitchen when connor had gone to take a shower. once they were done cleaning, they headed towards their room to get ready for the evening. connor's phone had been placed on his nightstand, and it was buzzing by the time phoenix had finished up the kitchen and headed towards the room. their eyebrows crinkled as they peered over to see who it was and if it might be urgent. the name popped up with a single '🌹' for the name. the call ended, and then they called once again. by that time, connor had missed 3 calls. phoenix swallowed harshly before picking it up, "hello?" they questioned. the person on the other line gasped, "who is this?" phoenix questioned.
connor opened up the ensemble washroom door, with just a towel on. his curls drenched and pressed against his forehead. he felt his body run cold.
"who. is. this." phoenix asked once more before the call ended. phoenix's mouth opened as they pressed their tonight to the roof of their mouth, biting their tongue essentially. trying to figure out the word they wanted to say first.
phoenix tore the phone away from her ear, before chucking it at him and was surprised that beneath the shock his reflexes were still sharp, as he caught it. "don't lie connor, don't you dare." they threatened with a snarl. connor swallowed his panic, once he saw the single rose on his notifications. he clenched his jaw for a tense moment, "she's a girl...I've been talking to." he said vaguely and phoenix let out a sob they'd been holding in. it was a jab to the heart. almost like a dagger. "I've done nothing wrong." phoenix began in a soft whisper, "why?" they followed up quickly trying to search connor's face. he shrugged.
that fucker, they thought.
"seriously? seriously." their fists clenched at their sides, and connor met their eye. "what do you want me to say, phe? want me to lie and say that i still love you, that you are it for me? it was a moment of stupidity? that i regret it all? that you didn't give me reasons to step out?" he deadpanned and phoenix's head tilted to the side, studying him. "I've given you everything. all of me. why this? what did i do to deserve this?" they rambled, beginning to run through everything over the past two years. nothing suspicious came up.
"phe-" they cut him off with one look, "you don't get to call me that, not anymore!" they screamed at him, knocking him dead in his tracks. they let a sob out before clasping their hand over their mouth. with a shake of their head, they turned away and began their descent out of the shared apartment. "phoenix!" connor called after them, and they abruptly stopped in front of the door - before turning around. "i never want you to speak to me ever again." they announced before opening the door and stepping into the hall, with a slam of the door. phoenix heard towards the stairwell and headed downstairs to the apartment they shared with their friend.

Now my thoughts are pouring out Wondering what you talked about Late at night back at your house Did you really think I wouldn't have found out?
_
phoenix poured themself a tall glass of wine, now two months after they'd found out about connor cheating. they'd had enough of sitting nightly with the thoughts and feelings that ran wild and threatened her soul. they pulled their laptop onto their lap, as the sat against the floor-length windows that showed the skyline of chicago. their notes app opened, they began to write. anything and everything. they thought in particular back to that dreadful night, once they had already skimmed through their two year relationship. now they had remembered something, something that now seemed strange.

phoenix sat across from alex vlasic's girlfriend, ella and taylor in the lake house. the three of them took the weekend before the season began and headed up to michigan, an hour and a half from chicago. phoenix finished her drink and stood up, announcing that they were getting another from the kitchen. they made their way from the all year round porch and heard whispers coming from their designation. their eyebrows furrowed before stepping into the kitchen and heading towards the fridge. kevin eyed his friend as alex looked towards phoenix. phoenix laughed, "yes alex?" they questioned opening up the seltzer and taking a few sips. alex shook his head before walking out of the kitchen. kevin continued to send daggers towards connor was who his so called 'best friend'. "i think taylor wanted to talk you bout something, kev." they said leaning on the counter. kevin pulled his gaze from connor and nodded at phoenix before slapping connor across the back of his scalp, and then left the room.
phoenix watched kevin walk out and then looked back at connor who was rubbing the scorned place.
"everything okay?" they questioned with slight humor locating their words. phoenix walked up and wrapped her arms around his neck, "yeah." connor breathed before kissing their forehead. "dumb bet on a golf game that's all, sunshine." he hummed and they nodded looking up at him. "come on, lets go upstairs." they teased quietly and pulling connors hands and he finally moved with them.

What does she give you that I couldn't? If you'd asked me, well I would've
_
the first time phoenix saw the girl with connor in public, couldn't have happened soon enough they thought. taylor and phoenix were out with one another before taylor and kevin headed back up to canada for the offseason, and the two had gone to lunch before shopping for a bit and then see a movie together. the two of them had walked into lulu lemon for taylor to find a pair of sneakers, and phoenix felt their body run cold.
taylor walked back up behind her friend and then followed her eyesight, and froze with phoenix. "hey, we can-" taylor was cut off by the blonde in question, and phoenix moved away quickly behind a rack of clothes. "hey naiomi?" taylor said in slight surprise as she saw connor walking up behind her. "how have you been? you and kev excited to go back home for the summer?" they questioned and taylor gave her a tight lip smile and nodded softly. "you?" taylor questioned and naiomi smiled. "yes - super excited, especially since connor wants to show me vancouver, since I've never been before!" naiomi explained, and taylor nodded. "sounds fun! but if you'll excuse me, I have some more errands to run before i leave, but i wish you guys safe travels!" she said to the both of them before finding phoenix out of the corner of her eye. she headed over towards them and pulled them out of the store.
"im so so sorry about that." taylor apologized but phoenix waved her off, "you didn't know nor did i. its fine, i promise." they said with a slight smile before the two stood at the cross walk. "how about we head to the theater?" phoenix offered and taylor nodded.
yet, throughout the movie phoenix could not help but question what was wrong with them, or what they lacked for connor. even 3 months later, they were questioning everything. why weren't they good enough? was it because they weren't blonde? was it because they didn't fit that 'ideal' or stereotypical wag picture?
the movie ended too quickly for phoenix's liking, and soon enough they found themselves back at their apartment nursing a can of spiked lemonade. natalia came home and found her best friend quiet, too quiet. as soon as she found phoenix in their room, she knew something had happened- they hadn't been this silent for some time now. phoenix met natalia's eye, "i saw him..and her." they said as their voice cracked, which then opened the floodgates. "why wasn't i good enough, natalia? what didn't i have or give that wasn't enough?" they sobbed as natalia wrapped her arms around phoenix. "i i don't know, phe. but you are enough, just the way you are. the world loves you for who you are." natalia whispered, hoping it could bring some sort of comfort, but it didn't.
instead, they grew angry. hoping, connor would regret what he'd done. because they would have done whatever to have kept him.
_
Now you call me screaming, laughing, screaming, crying On the floor, you say you're dying It's delusional, it's all on you for lying Yeah, it's all on you for lying
_
it was december of that following season when phoenix received a call. their eyebrows creased when they heard sobbing on the other line, and heavy breathing. "hello?" they questioned, hoping to grab the other person's attention. "phe?" they heard softly on the other line, and felt their heart stop. the simple and soft beloved nickname of his was followed by bouts of sobbing and heavy breathing. phoenix turned off the stove and sat down against the kitchen cabinet, trying to collect their own thoughts. "connor?" phoenix said his name for the first time in months. connor felt his breathing stop abruptly before it picked up once again.
"connor...are you ok?" they questioned softly and heard sniffles, before clearing their throat. "im sorry-" they began before letting out a cry, "im sorry for what i did, it was wrong of me and you never deserved any of that." connor rambled, "you were the best thing that had ever happened to me and threw that away and ill never forgive myself for doing that. and im sorry i never apologized phe, i really am, you have to believe me." connor finished and phoenix sighed. they had finally reached a point where connor's name never flashed before their mind nor thoughts, and he didn't mean anything to them anymore.
"you cant do this connor, you can't." they now began, before resting their eyes for a brief moment. they let a soft whimper, "you can't change what you did connor and im not obligated to believe you after all these months. when i fin-finally, stop thinking about you, you swoop in and try to suck me back. im not obligated to forgive you for something you lied about and kept doing for so long- i don't have to believe you, and i will not. for all i know you're calling me while still being with her, she should be the one receiving this phone call not me." phoenix stated before letting out a shakey breath.
"i dont know what im feeling phe, i don't i feel like my chest is on fire and i cant breathe and-" they cut him off, "connor - go find alex or somebody else. not me, it cant be me and never will be again con." they said with a slight pause, "it wasn't my fault connor, and this isn't my job." phoenix said before hanging up. they quickly texted alex, letting him know what was happening and alex said he'd go check on him.
phoenix's head fell back against the wood cabinet, and sighed. what had they'd done to deserve all of this? nothing.
_ Hope it's weighing on your conscience _ march, 2026.
phoenix and taylor walked in with ella to a hawks game, after a year of begging them to come out with them. they knew that they had loved the game before connor and would love it, even afterwards. phoenix felt calm as they sat down in the stands, and took in the sights and sounds of the united center. they thought of all their memories pre connor and chuckled to themself, and smiled over the many many memories they had made with their family.
"can i just say the dark brown is hot." ella said inspecting their hair once more, making phoenix giggle. "no for real, its SO good." taylor said commenting, before fluffing their hair up. "it was either go blonde again orrrrr do this, and i absolutely love it." phoenix smiled at ella as taylor snapped a picture. "oh hey, did you wanna go out to eat with alex and kevin with us later?" ella questioned and phoenix nodded, "i'd love that." they smiled genuinely.
it was a few hours later, after a gritty win against the detroit red wings- they found themselves at one of their old stomping grounds when connor and them were together. the girls left on their own in an uber to get to the restaurant instead of waiting for the guys. they all sat down at a long table in the back and quickly ordered drinks. phoenix and the girls were in the middle of laughing when the boys started to show up. kevin hugged phoenix from behind before sitting down in between them and taylor. "so glad you could make it out nixie." kevin said smiling wide before phoenix responded with a grin.
"im always down for a night at boka." they grinned before sipping some more of their cocktail. "oh! i hopes it okay, i invited somebody." they said and taylor smiled widely before it turned into a grin. "who?" kevin questioned, looking between the two. phoenix went to go speak before they heard their name.
taylor clasped her hands together as kevin looked between phoenix and his girlfriend, before taylor stood up to greet the person. phoenix stood up and met the guy as he stepped closer. phoenix melted into his hug, which they'd come to adore these past few months at this point. "nicklas!" taylor said behind the two, and phoenix playfully rolled their eyes. "nick- but good to see you again taylor." he said giving her a side hug while still holding on phoenix's hand. "oh i know, i just like the name." taylor mused before heading back to the table. unbeknownst to phoenix, she whispered a "be nice" to the table, and then eyed the one and only connor bedard, who swallowed tensely.
"hi guys, this is nick my partner, nick this is everybody." phoenix said smiling softly nick said hello and a good game, and apologized if he was overstepping but alex butted in, "the more the merrier man, welcome." he said standing up to introduce himself. phoenix sat down next to kevin and to an empty chair to her right, for nick.
phoenix pulled some stray hair behind her ear, before meeting the eye of connor from the other end of the table. he gave her a small smile and slight nod, in acknowledgment. their brief moment was interrupted by kevin, "now now, tell us how you and miss nixie met." he grinned as nick threw an arm around the backside of their chair. phoenix hid her face in his shoulders and the group took in their reaction with a chorus laugh.
"yes lets, miss nixie." nick mused.

After a disappointing loss on Tuesday night, the Blackhawks bounced back tonight as they defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in overtime.
In the first period, Vegas wasted no time getting themselves on the scoreboard first; goals by Pavel Dorofeyev and William Karlsson gave them a 2-0 lead.
Tumblr media
However, Ryan Donato cut the Golden Knights' lead in half with his second goal of the season (assisted by Corey Perry and Wyatt Kaiser).
Tumblr media
Connor Bedard tied up the game with his third goal of the season (which wasn't taken away; thank goodness) with assists by Nick Foligno and Alex Vlasic.
There were no goals from either team during the second period.
Tumblr media
In the third period, Taylor Raddysh broke the tie, giving the Blackhawks a 3-2 lead; however, Shea Theodore tied up the game which sent it into overtime.
Tumblr media
During the overtime period, William Karlsson got a penalty for tripping which sent the Blackhawks on the power play. Philipp Kurashev capitalized on the power play which gave the Blackhawks the win.
Takeaways from tonight's game: When the Vegas Golden Knights got themselves on the scoreboard early on in the game, my first thought was, "Oh, great. Looks like momentum is going to be on Vegas's side tonight"; however, the Blackhawks were able to gain some momentum for themselves tonight. I was very proud of how the Hawks were able to bounce back from a two-goal deficit and get two points tonight.
Connor Bedard was finally able to score his third of the season tonight. After Bedard's goal from Tuesday night's game was disallowed, I predicted that Bedard would find a way to get career goal #3 and I was right. Bedard also became the first and youngest player in NHL history to score in each of his first two games against the defending Stanley Cup champions.
I thought that the top line of Nick Foligno, Connor Bedard and Phillip Kurashev did quite well tonight. All three players had a point (Bedard & Kurashev scored goals and Foligno got an assist). According to the NBC Sports Chicago website, all three players generated 10 scoring chances when they were on the ice together at even strength. I hope that the top line continues to keep up the good work.
Alex Vlasic took a high hit from Golden Knights forward Brett Howden during the second period which left him a bit disoriented and he ended up missing the remainder of the game. I hope that everything will be okay with Vlasic.
Andreas Athanasiou ended up being a healthy scratch in tonight's game. After the shutout loss against Boston on Tuesday night, it appears as if Coach Luke Richardson is sending a message for his players. If the players don't want to end up sitting in the press box, then they need to make sure that they keep themselves productive & consistent throughout the entire game.
The Blackhawks' next game will take place on Monday night against the Arizona Coyotes.
Until then, go Blackhawks!

Even though the Blackhawks had a good start to their game, once again, it didn't quite end that way. With their 8th consecutive loss, it just seems like they're never going to get their first win of the season and it's very frustrating.
Tumblr media
In the first period, Brandon Hagel scored his first goal of the season (with assists by Jonathan Toews and Erik Gustafsson) to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead; however, Tony DeAngelo tied up the game.
Tumblr media
Adam Gaudette broke the tie with a power play goal (with assists by Gustafsson and Philipp Kurashev) to regain the lead for the Blackhawks, but Jordan Staal tied up the game.
After that, goals by Derek Stepan and Jesper Kotkaniemi gave the Hurricanes a 4-2 lead and the Blackhawks' momentum went straight out the window.
In the second period, the Hurricanes extended their lead by six goals with goals by Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov.
Although Alex DeBrincat scored a power play goal in the 3rd period (with assists by Seth Jones and Dominik Kubalik), the Hurricanes ended up with the victory tonight.
Tumblr media
What's making me feel so frustrated with the Blackhawks this past week is that they're able to start off their games on a good note, but then they give up during the second half of the game and fall behind.
When it comes to facing teams like Carolina (who have been playing very well lately), they need to stay mentally tough and keep it together instead of falling behind.
I thought the Blackhawks did a good job with their power play (which has been a bright spot for them so far this season) as they were able to score two goals on their power play chances; however, the Hawks need to tone down on the penalties.
Rookie defenseman Isaak Phillips made his NHL debut tonight where he had 11:01 of ice time, had three shot attempts, one hit and a holding penalty. I haven't gotten a good vibe on him yet; to be honest, I overlooked him during training camp because my attention was focused on Caleb Jones, who was playing well. It might take a while for me to get a vibe on Phillips.
Even though Erik Gustafsson got two assists in tonight's game, I've been noticing that he is still struggling with the same issues that he had during his first stint with the Blackhawks.
Gustafsson admitted in his post-game interview that he hasn't been himself lately. He said: "I’m trying to be better defensively, making better plays. But I've got to be better back there." I hope that he can stick to his word about that.
I'm trying to stay optimistic that the Blackhawks will get their first win at some point this season, but with the issues that they have had in their in their games lately is making me feel frustrated.
Despite my frustration, I still have faith in this team and I believe that they are capable of turning things around in order to get their first win this season, but they really have to keep working hard to make it happen.
After tonight's game, the Blackhawks will play against the St. Louis Blues tomorrow night. Like the Hurricanes, the Blues have been playing well lately. The Hawks really need to be mentally tough and not give up on themselves.
Until then, go Blackhawks!

Last night, the Blackhawks kicked off the beginning of their four-game road trip on a good note as they defeated the Seattle Kraken and earned their fourth consecutive win.
Tumblr media
In the first period, Seth Jones scored the lead goal with assists by Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane, extending his point streak to seven games and getting his 300th NHL career point.
Tumblr media
In the second period, DeBrincat picked up his second point of the night as he scored his 9th goal of the season with an assist by Kirby Dach. Even though the Kraken started perking up a bit during the period, the Hawks continued to maintain the lead goal.
Tumblr media
In the third period, Kane extended the Blackhawks’ lead to three goals with assists by Phillip Kurashev and Connor Murphy.
Tumblr media
Jared McCann and Yanni Gourde each scored goals to make it a 3-2 game, but as regulation was winding down, Jake McCabe scored an empty-net goal and his first as a Blackhawk to give the Hawks a 4-2 victory.
It was not only great to see the Blackhawks extend their win streak to four games in a row, but it was great to see them get their first win on the road this season.
I like the way that the Hawks have been playing lately and even though I was a little anxious to see how they would start off the road trip after what happened last month, they were able to keep up the same good work that they did during their homestead back home in Chicago.
Tumblr media
Alex DeBrincat definitely had a great game last night. He got the Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal, an assist and getting into a fight with Yanni Gourde. DeBrincat has been one of the bright spots so far this season and Patrick Kane said in his post-game interview that he is “just a special, special hockey player” and “a superstar in the making.”
Other players that I thought stood out in last night’s game were Marc-Andre Fleury, Patrick Kane and Seth Jones.
Tumblr media
Fleury was outstanding in the net yesterday, especially when he made a big save against Yanni Gourde in the second period. Ever since the coaching change, I’m seeing the goalies play with more confidence, especially with Fleury, who has been playing quite well in his last couple of starts.
Tumblr media
Seth Jones has also been playing very well lately and he was able to extend his point streak to seven games with his second goal as a Blackhawk. It must have also brightened up his spirits yesterday when his younger brother, Caleb (who has been out of the line-up with a wrist injury) was taken off long-term injured reserve and played in his first game as a Blackhawk.
Tumblr media
Ever since Patrick Kane returned to the line-up after being in COVID protocol, he seems to be back to his usual self; he has gotten five goals and seven assists since he’s been back. He’s also developing really good chemistry with DeBrincat and the two of them have been producing a lot of points together.
After last night’s game, the Blackhawks will be playing against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.
I have a feeling that the Hawks are going to have their work cut out for them with the way that the Oilers have been playing lately, especially with players such as Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. It’s important for the Hawks to continue to keep themselves consistent and not let their guard down.
Until then, go Blackhawks!

What could’ve been a heck of a comeback for the Blackhawks ended in a heartbreaking loss for them as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated them 5-4.
Tumblr media
Jonathan Toews scored the first goal of the game (with assists by Reese Johnson and Connor Murphy) to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead, but it did not last for long as John Tavares scored a power goal to tie up the game. William Nylander and Auston Matthews each scored goals to give the Maple Leafs a 3-1 lead.
Tumblr media
In the second period, Pierre Engvall extended the Maple Leafs’ lead to four goals, but Connor Murphy scored his second goal of the season to make it a 4-2 game with an assist by Brandon Hagel.
In the third period, the Blackhawks started regaining the momentum as Dominik Kubalik scored the third goal of the game with assists by Phillip Kurashev and Jake McCabe.
Tumblr media
McCabe tied up the game with assists by Riley Stillman and Ryan Carpenter; however, the Maple Leafs regained the lead as regulation was winding down with a goal by former Blackhawks forward David Kampf to give them the win.
I was not happy with the penalties that the Blackhawks got during the first period and two of them ended up as power play goals. With the Maple Leafs’ power play currently second in the lead, it was inevitable that they would take advantage of their power play chances which is what happened tonight.
As I have mentioned numerous times before in my past keys to the game, the Blackhawks need to tone down on the penalties otherwise the other team will try to take advantage of it.
Even though the first half of the game didn’t start off so well for the Blackhawks, they played really well for the rest of the game. They were also able to score four 5-on-5 goals which was a new season-high for them and it was good to see them do that because they’ve had issues scoring goals on it so far this season.
The players that I thought stood out in tonight’s game were Phillip Kurashev, Dylan Strome and Jake McCabe.
Tumblr media
Strome looked very noticeable tonight and Coach King praised him on having a strong game. I don’t know if playing well for one game is enough for Strome to instantly earn Coach King’s trust, but it seems to be a step in the right direction for him and I hope that he can continue to stay consistent.
Tumblr media
Kurashev was also very noticable tonight, especially with the assist on Kubalik’s goal. He also did a good job winning puck battles during the game as well. I guess playing in Rockford for awhile helped him; it was one of the best games I’ve seen from him so far this season.
It was great to see Jake McCabe have a multi-point game with a goal and an assist. McCabe (who became a father for the second time recently) had some “dad strength” which really helped him out tonight and he was even named the 3rd star of the game.
After tonight’s game, the Blackhawks will play against the Calgary Flames at the United Center where they will also honor Marc-Andre Fleury for his 500th NHL career win. I hope that the Hawks are able to refocus and try get a bounce back win on home ice.
Until then, go Blackhawks!
