I went through a surprising amount of inner debate over what to draw, how to draw it, how excessive the lighting effects should be, how many details to include, etc. I didn't want it to be tough to draw, but I did want it to reflect some of the stuff I love to include in my artwork.

Believe it or not, this is actually how I began drawing tmnt on Tumblr- with tracing over other's lineart and then adding colors, background, and shading. :) So I decided to draw this panel cause.. It just made me laugh and the expressions were just perfect XD AND WITTLE MIKEYY AHHHH SO CUTEEE!!!!

It took about five months, but I have FINALLY finished!

@phoebepheebsphibs wrote this fic called Hide and Seek... and I am kind of obsessed with it. Almost every single chapter makes me tear up, because I just love this little family so so SO much! It's an incredible collection of stories about Splinter raising his four turtle sons, and the years they spent growing up together in the sewers. I would highly recommend it, to any Rise fan! It's one of my all-time favorites, for sure!

I don't typically like to talk about my personal stuff but...

I had a really rough day today. I've been struggling to find a full-time job that not only lets me do what I adore, but also pays well too. I've been struggling for much longer than I'd like to admit, and I tend to bottle my negative emotions and hide them away until it reaches a boiling point and I kinda... explode. And apparently today was exploding day. I blew up, sobbed, the whole shebang.

I don't want to get any more personal than that, but I just wanted to let you know how lovely this was to see, how special it made me feel. This year my part-time job has been difficult and I've felt underappreciated at times. I have been pouring out my heart in my artwork and my writing, especially in DM Mikey. It just... it feels good to know that it's appreciated and loved.

This sweet meme was made to be silly and sweet, but actually made me cry from how unintentionally meaningful it was lol

I went a little too crazy with the background- but it felt amazing to practice something I'm challenged with. :)

I'm not quite sure why Leo and Mikey would see Donnie in the streets of the Hidden City, maybe Donnie was on some kind of mission from Draxum? Guess it's up to you to figure why they would meet here! :)

Thanks again for sharing your story!! I'm loving it so much and I can't wait to see where it will go! Your other story, Hide N Seek, was wonderfully written, and quite emotionally stimulating, so I have HIGH hopes for Until I Found You!! ( And so far, I have not been let down! )

Here's my take on Double-Mutated Mikey. :) ( Going by how you've described him through each chapter! )

I decided to keep his design the closest to the Basilisk. ( A part of me also REALLY wants to see this lil guy just sit by the water with his brothers, take a breath, and then proceed to SPRINT over the liquid's surface, doing that hilarious run that Basilisks always do, and his brothers just stand there like 0~0 " ... what the FRICK JUST HAPPENED-" "DUDE HE CAN FLY" "Actually, it's a normal feature of the Basilisk to be able to run on bodies of wate- " "-OUR BROTHER CAN FLYYYY"

I also kept his plastron on his chest, as well as having the same protective padding spread down his tail.

I don't usually draw creatures like this that often- so this was a really fun challenge! :)

Yes, both your story has once again got me creatin' like crazy, and yes there are more like this most likely on the way. :)
