PiCrew Alternative: Neka

I’m seeing a lot of posts promoting PiCrew in creating your OC’s instead of relying on generative AI, and I totally agree. However, I find PiCrew quite limited when it comes to fantasy designs for clothes, and the skin tone options also tend to be mainly on the fair side, which is a big problem for me as my characters aren’t Western.

So may I introduce to you another option: Neka

Neka is from China, and it works a lot like PiCrew.

🌟 Picrew Neka Time 🌟

Ok so, a couple years back, I started an archive to hold onto character creators for me and my friends. But after a certain point I just kinda forgot about it, until now! I wanna dip back into updating it (when I can) and help others find weirdly specific picrews/nekas.

My list is sorted into 5 sections (technically 6 if you count the banned section):

Feminine/Fem-focused - They can be categorized as picrews or nekas that are mainly for making girls or otherwise feminine characters. Though there are some "exceptions" to the rule, such as ladies with muscles.

Non-specific gender/NB - They have options available that wouldn't be targeted to a specific gender. Having things like unisex clothes, flat chests, and/or no muscle definition.

Masculine/Dudes - Basically the reverse of FFF, muscle/masc dudes (even to the point of bara) but you can make a twink in some.

Ones with two or more characters - I think this is self-explanatory. This section and the ones above aren't restricted by apparent age or the likes.

Fandom-based - Basically picrews for a specific piece of media, such as games or shows. As of now I only really have Lobotomy Corp creators and one for Genshin Impact. Under no circumstances will I accept Harry Potter ones or any with elements of that.

Well Bee, how the fuck am I suppose to know which picrew/neka is which? I'm not gonna just go off of a description, what if I do that and don't like the art style? WELL I THOUGHT THE SAME THING, CAUSE BAM, LOOK AT THE GIF!!

btw this is how my Elicia Hughes looks like in my FMAB: Rebirth AU.

I get why some peoples portrayal of Young Adult/Adult Elicia still has her in pigtails is for her to be recognizable, but really if she were to take them off I believe her hair would look something like this.. idk I like her like this.

And also heres Selim, surprisingly I haven't made many Picrews or Nekas of him but I did make him in Zepeto because I'm insane and obsessed with him.

And incase anyone is confused, no he doesn't dress like he's in 2024 in 1930, the Zepeto models are a reference for a different AU but his face is what stays the same in my head regardless of the AU he's in lmao.

I'd also like to drop another group that's from Avalon. They're known as the avatars. Created by Zahari or as he goes by now Apotheosis.

Apotheosis is an Alchemist who believes the time of the gods in this world is past and they need to be done away with. As a result he had created the avatars, each being an avatar of something.

Not all of the avatars know their true nature however. They don't even know they are avatars until Apotheosis calls upon them by their titles for battle.

The primary one I work with is Naga: the Avatar of Gluttony. She's one of Marigolds friends. She's the one in the floral print.

Who each of them are in order:

Bel: The Avatar of Lust

Id: The Avatar of Pride

Azrael: The Avatar of Sloth (mask on and mask off)

Kama: The Avatar of Greed

Marotte: The Avatar of Envy (Normal appearance and shattered)

Furia: The Avatar of Wrath

Naga: The Avatar of Gluttony

Zahari/Apotheosis.

Bit of information about each of them!

Bel: I make him encapsulate lust more from a blood lust sense but also how he destroys armor on his enemies. Taking them down to their undergarments to fight him. He is someone who loves to fight others and is quite playful, often teasing Azrael when they meet. He is one of the few Avatars who knows about the others and knows the most. He has yet to meet Naga however.

Id: Id encapsulates pride from making others feel shame and remorse placing himself on top. He kills peoples motivations and egos to have them submit to himself and he is a local religious figure. Him and Bel fight quite often though as Bel lacks much of shame causing great frustration.

Azrael: I chose to have sloth be shown through inaction and fear with Azrael. Being someone scared of much everything and hesitating with each action but also causing those around him to be struck with fear. When he wears his mask he can mask his fear and fight however. Striking fear of death into his foes.

Kama: she is greedy in how she wants to live a thousand lives, she wants to know all of what people have experienced and feel. She wants to do everything anyone can do. She can take peoples memories, their strength, their bodies and connect with their senses.

Marotte: Marotte wants an identity of his own. When Apotheosis made him he was modeled after the form he had taken at that time. Marottes own name refers to a puppet. He wants to know what it means to exist as an individual. He had a more fragile body that can crack.

Furia: Furia shows wrath through not being the avatar that Zahari made. "violence begets violence" is where I drew the concept of Furias wrath from. Being a reincarnation of the avatar of wrath. She acts a nun at a church wearing a blind fold as to surpress her vision as she can fall into a blind rage without it on. She navigates by detecting the aura of the space around her.

Naga: wants to devour everything. She is forever hungry with a stomach that acts as a pocket dimension. She siphons the strenght of those that she eats and has multiple bodies of hers within it. She can change forms if she wishes in many different kinds of repitiles and ever eat dragons bodies to take them over. Her ultimate goal is to become strong enough she can eat the fabric of reality itself and finally eat herself. She was inspired by jormunganr and ouroboros.

Apotheosis already explained above. There's some other characters hes connected to and locations such as Wonderland, his daughter Alice and the chaos beast Cheshire.
