Characters: Lillian, 12 years old

"It's time, Lillian", her grandmother's voice only slowly made its way through the veil of fear. With big fearful eyes, the blue-haired girl looked up at the woman, who despite her age seemed almost ageless.

Exactly one lunar cycle had passed since the appearance of Lillian's first menstrual period and as it was tradition in her circle, she would today face the great test to awaken her magic. The test was dangerous and not every young witch passed it without damage. But from Lillian, granddaughter of the Elder, great things were expected.

On unsteady legs, Lillian, closely followed by her grandmother, left the tent and stepped onto the candlelit clearing. Witches of the circle stood everywhere and examined the young girl. The smell of herbs filled the night and clouded Lillian's senses. As if in a trance she entered the ritual circle and kneeled down. Her grandmother did the same, between them an ancient stone vessel. The circle witches around her closed the circle and started their mysterious chant, while Lillian took a deep breath and looked her grandmother directly in the eyes.

She returned the gaze and reached for Lillian's hand. "Today is the day you will awaken in the circle of your sisters", a stabbing pain flashed through Lillian's hand as her grandmother cut open her palm with a dagger. Shocked and fascinated at the same time, the young girl watched as her dark red blood dripped into the stone vessel. "Now go into the shadows my child, follow the trail of your blood and find your magic", with these words the eldest touched the forehead of her granddaughter.

Frozen, Pandora stood in her dark room. Only the full moon shining in through the window gave a little light. "Thaddeus..." it softly slipped from her lips and tears filled her eyes. Suddenly she felt completely powerless, totally drained. Her legs no longer supported her and she sank to the ground. She was still wearing only the white negligee on her body and even the gentle breeze that blew in through the open window made her shiver.

For six years she had done everything for Thaddeus, had been a friend, confidante and his attentive shadow in the castle. She had always been the one who had provided him with ointments and tinctures for his wounds, when his father had punished him again. Without hesitation, Pandora would have sacrificed her soul to protect the prince at any time. But he had never really seen her. She was a matter of course for him, someone you called when you needed her and then sent her away again.

But never before had he used her affection as maliciously and willingly as he did that night. He had taken her love, her heart, cradled it in warm security and then tore it in two with his demonic claws.

But Pandora had had enough. Enough of being invisible, enough of chasing a dream that would never come true.

Thaddeus wasn't the man she had thought he was all these years. His demon blood made him cold and vicious. But he would still see what he got out of it. With sparkling eyes, Pandora lifted her head, stood up, pointed her right palm towards the fireplace and a blue flame shot out of it, igniting the logs with an angry hiss. “They will all see what they get out of it...”

Hello everyone! It has been so long since I have been on here. It really makes me sad because I love blogging but honestly life has been so crazy lately. Pedro and I are doing great. This week has been rough for me. I have had so many large assignments/exams/practicums and it honestly got the best of me. I broke down and it got the best of me mentally and physically. This little picture is from my first night of feeling sick. I laid in bed, Pedro came in with these little oranges and plate decorated, kissed me, and we watched Face Off together. These little things have continued all week/ from sweet texts to little pictures or notes. I love him so much. I am feeling better and it is hugely thanks to him. I am hoping to be more active on here. Pedro and I also want to make more vlogs also! If there is anything you would like to see please let me know :)

Halloween Weekend 🎃 I love Halloween, well really I love any occasion to get dressed up. But Halloween, the dead, spirits and afterlife interest me. Always reading creepy "real life" stories 👻 Friday night I went out (I will be doing another blog post about that) Saturday night we had a gathering at a friends house. I was a doll, and Myles was spiderman. We had Dominoes 🍕 Monday evening we went round J's Mums. She does her house up so good 🕷🎃(see pictures above) she makes some of her own decorations like the graves! Loads of trick or treaters came to her house. People were taking pictures and recording. J's dad was opening the door and making people jump with a scary mask on. He made a little girl cry 🙈 then Myles started doing it as well. But he's too cute for people to be scared at. Most people pretended they were for him though. J's mum made some cute cookies. 💀🎃 We had a good weekend. Myles is at such a funny age. We went trick or treating and he was so cute, good manners making me very proud of him ❤️ He screamed at a massive moving spider, takes after his mum with that 🕷😁
