Has it been days? Weeks? A month? 

No, two months. It has been two months since he last saw you, and every second that passes by without you by his side any longer makes him quite… distracted. 

Such a thing has never occurred to him before. Of course, it must have been because all he had ever known are beings that are powerful enough to fend for themselves, and he has a huge trust in them to do so. Not to say that he does the opposite with you, however, and it was one of the things that he still has a difficult time trying to understand—why does he worry so much? 

Worry? 

Such a feeling… is one that particularly feels foreign for the likes of him. 

The uneasiness that comes with it, how it directly affects him, and how he works does not sit well either. 

By the time he senses your presence the minute you had stepped in the boundaries of Liyue, he was instantly by your side and does something that surprises not only you but also himself. 

Something—or someone—appearing so suddenly made you jump and almost draw out your weapon—one that your lover insisted you always keeping it with your person. Well, that is until you saw the familiar teal locks and golden eyes of “Xiao! You scared the hell out of me!” 

“I…” missed you—the words died down in his mouth before he could even let the last two words out, only to clear his throat and say, “I apologize, for scaring and surprising you.” 

You could only heave out a sigh, yet a smile gets released from your features—one that almost made him get to his knees with how it shook ever so slightly at the beautiful sight in front of him. 

“I missed you.” 

This time, it just slipped out of his lips, so fast that it had beaten his arms that were stretching its way to you, and his entire body making way to lean into yours as if it was magnetized upon warmth that he had so long missed each and every second you were away. 

“Oop-“ you jumped but instinctively had both of your hands on his shoulders, not long sliding down to his waist after giggling on your own, feeling his breath tickle you on the skin of your neck. 

“I guess you really did, huh? With how tight you’re holding me right now,” you teased him with a smirk, and even if he couldn’t see your face, he just knew. Yet he tightens his arms even more and presses a quick kiss on your neck, muttering a “Mmhm,” and leaning his head on your shoulder. 

Your hold on him tightens as well, immersing yourself in his scent that overwhelmed your entire being after being so away from him for a very long time. 

“I missed you too, baby. I’m home.” 

P.S. i still love xiao yall, i’m loyal

It never even crossed my mind to ship riddler and Barbara before but their interactions on unburied are so good. They genuinely respect each other, have good chemistry, finish each other sentences. And already are in the Barbs and Eddy territory.

They make one hell of a duet, as the Penguin in the latest live-action outing would say. There would be no hint of sarcasm in this case though.

Barbara is crazy enough to work with him, but she's not single-minded like Edward and Bruce are. She is willing to sacrifice the mission to keep her partner safe. And Edward is conscious of his compulsions yet remains focused on the mission to the point of risking his safety for it. They keep each other on their toes and watch each other's back.

Even if it's not all leading up to a romantic relationship, it's still *chef's kiss*.

You know, all this one side devotion from Anna suddenly makes elsanna more messed up and interesting.

It would make it more interesting if their one-sided devotion was treated as something negative, but F2 sugarcoats their relationship to the high heavens. I just can’t get myself to ship Elsanna anymore after F2 proved Elsa will always be prioritzed over Anna in this relationship.

Would most likely glare at you as soon as the words came out of your lips. 

“You must have lost your mind, have you?” 

“Well, you called me a worm one time before we dated, babe.” 

Congratulations, you have made him even more speechless than he already was, merely reduced to staring at you in disbelief, thinking how in the world he even falls for the likes of you, you’re hopeless! 

But still… 

He would sigh with a hand over his forehead, not long after gesturing you to come closer, to which you oblige without a single word and plop yourself on his lap. He stares into your eyes for a long few seconds before quickly flicking your forehead. 

“Ow! What the hell, Scara?!” 

Despite how your hands instinctively raise to your forehead to cover it, he sneaks in a peck to your lips and smirks ever so smugly at your baffled expression, pretty much like how he reacted with your… antics… earlier. 

“Ha, sometimes I can’t understand you, but now I’m reminder that I don’t want to do so either.” 

If you pouted and kept insisting on him, he’d scoff and try to flick your forehead again. 

“What do you think? I’d like to hear your guess, pray tell.” 

“I think you won’t.” you frown.

He’d laugh at this and say “If I called you a worm before, why do you think I’m dating you now?” 

“Because… I am not a worm.” you say

And he’ll stare at you once again and sigh. “You’re hopeless.”

But he loves you whoever or whatever you are, nonetheless. 

Though he will never say that out loud, maybe you’ll figure it out on your own... which he himself doubt very much.
