*warning for anyone who has stress associated with queer terms/slurs because I use them VERY bluntly here*

if a dyke wants me to call her/him/them a dyke, i’m going to call her/him/them a dyke. this idea that queer language that has historically been used by queer people, even if they are specific terms to refer to one’s identity (like dyke, fag, homo, etc) cannot be used unless it has been weaponized against you is just frankly,,,not based in actual queer history or culture. Words like fag, gay, homo, dyke, stud, etc have been used against a variety of queer people because straight people don't give a shit if the word doesn’t directly relate to your identity, they just want to make u feel bad. This is a language that has been used by many of us within the community for decades as a way to build community. That also doesn’t mean that I won’t stop using certain terms for someone if it makes them uncomfortable. But I also believe in allowing ourselves to use them as positive descriptors for our queer identities. THAT is how we reclaim the power behind queer language. 

Also my lesbian sibling would rather I call them a butch/dyke, and I’m more than fine with them calling me a fag, so theres that dyke fag solidarity.

yall act like as if the moment police are no longer involved in Pride, hatecrimes will start going up as if cops dont contribute to a large % of those hatecrimes/refuse to investigate hatecrimes. If you read up on the ban, you'd know that police presence will be OUTSIDE of Pride but not within it, and that private security, volunteers, and community members will be BIPOC/Queer trained to protect within Pride itself. Police are banned from participating within Pride. Pride NYC will still consult and work closely with police to make sure everything is safe.

I was wondering, do you wear clothes like that irl and if so where do you get them??? Hi!!! Yes i do usually wear out my punk fits when i can, and if not, i try to incorporate some aspects of my punk fits like chains, rings, and other jewelry. If im not in punk im in comfy layers!! Heres some pics of my battle jacket and me wearing it (keep in mind the jacket is far from finished):

I dont own much clothes to be honest and the clothes i do wear often are thrifted or bought off depop! A lot of my jewelry is second hand or also from depop, and my battle jackets/vests are all customized by me. I get my patches from esty and I often draw on my shoes and boots with markers and pens. Youre not really going to find the alt look youre looking for online unless you look really hard, and thatll often mean its expensive. I suggest looking for people who fit a similar vibe that youre looking for and see if they have any links or info on where they got their clothes!!

Completely agree, my friend. Canada is just as complacent in the colonization and settler colonialism of Indigenous peoples as any other country in North America. The last of the residential schools in Canada closed down in 1996....that is absolutely abysmal. First Nations people still suffer the consequences of not just these schools, but the displacement Canadian colonization imposed onto them. Most indigenous and First Nations people cannot even practice their culture without breaking the law (fishing/farming “off-season” impacts commercialized fishing/farming). Capitalism does not give a shit about human rights, only profit, and indigeneity is inherently anti-capitalist.
