My fic isn't cooperating so your getting a post on The Twins and how important Fighting is to them.

I’ve been thinking about it for the past days, cause this entire series is built off the idea that Fighting is a Means of Communication. Through battle, Pokemon trainers bond with their Pokemon, their opponents and their Pokemon. It’s a competitive sport, sure, but it’s also a conversation between the two trainer’s and their teams. To Fight is To Understand.

Now I’d like to talk about the relationship between Truth and Ideals but it’s nightime here so that’s getting shelved for another post. But when it comes to The Twins and fighting there’s the obvious Multi Train fight where you are supposed to work with your partner and their dialogue about working together to achieve the strongest combination, theirs also just battle tactics and how you have to understand your opponent to win.

But there’s also things like Emmet’s dialogue in his single’s battles about how their feelings are Real. And how he talks about “serious fights” and how he talks about that if they fight the next time they won’t know what to expect because a new battle is just a new conversation, with new things to learn from and share. And Ingo just Says It in PLA and Pokemon battles are so important to him to the point where they Jog His Memory.

And why wouldn’t it if fighting is just, another way to talk for him. Really a lot of their excitement towards fighting is really neat when viewed through that, cause fighting is just, how they communicate, they can Say what they mean but that doesn’t convey the emotions they want to express as precisely as fighting does. It doesn’t have the Same Ability to convey and understand different ideas as fluently.

I don’t know, I just think Fighting is a Core Part of their character because that’s their Main way of communicating ideas and concepts and I think that’s a really interesting idea to explore. Usually characters who have fighting as a core of their character are sad and/or have anger as an integral part of who they are but these two have neither. Fighting is just how they convey themselves as People. It’s integral to their self-expression.

(Also extra thing but, of course the human representatives of Truth and Ideals would communicate through fighting, Truth and Ideals Do Not Go Down Without A Fight, they will bite and scream because Truth and Ideals Need to be Understood-)
