In your mental breakdown season? This time around, try planting something!

I planted these yellow moss roses when I was at a bad place mentally (14th January 2023). It was a rather impulsive act, typical of me. I didn't check the soil requirement, the sun requirement or water requirement. I just planted it. In my terrace where the sun shines till it sets. (Tropicals, amirite?!) I broke off the branches of a pre-existing potted moss rose (my mother got it from her neighbour friend) and I just stuck them in the soil and placed over them the burden of helping my mental breakdown. I was half sure it won't take root.

They bloomed on day 2 but I chalked it upto "Succulent Behaviour". But these babies were here to stay. And now, thirty eight days later, they have grown pretty nicely and are thriving in the sun. The honey bees are loving the close proximity of these flowers too. I begin my mornings by watering them and just looking at these stubborn yellow flowers make me realise that there's more to life. That nothing is truly forsaken. That whatever propels life forward is also here to push you ahead. You just have trust it, lean back, take your feet off the ground and swing ahead while enjoying the ride.
