This is (Not) The Sparks Legacy?

Since I started working on my Legacy Challenge again, I've missed my founder couple. I also had another version of Sarah Sparks in Pleasantview already, since she's actually a character from my novels originally!

What a glow up! Sarah has always been beautiful, but I've updated the look of my game, styling skills, and sim photography a lot since 2007. (Managed to give her a hair that cuts into her forehead here, but still! 😆)

When it came time for Sarah to settle down, I felt I had to reunite her with her true love from another universe.

Nery Thompson.

They quickly fall in love. And plan the wedding they couldn't afford in the lifetime where he was a delivery man and she was a poor college grad.

However, it's still relatively small and private. Sarah's done with fame and paparazzi. Her greatest wish now is just for family.

It's been officially longer than a year since I last posted gameplay pics...

For the most part of 2022, I couldn't play The Sims because I shared a computer and we couldn't agree on it. Then I played it for like, 2 months (in 2023!) on my bf's computer, but I couldn't take any screenshots 😭 And now, since October of 2023, I've been in England working as a volunteer, with no access to a personal computer. My friend was kind enough to lend me his laptop a few weeks ago so that I could finally play a bit, but it's not ideal because, well, it's his, and he needs it for work outside of the volunteering. I might be able to get my hands on a new laptop soon though (!!!!!!), and I'm really excited about finally being able to remove the "hiatus" from my bio! Or at least replace it with "semi hiatus", you know lol

I obviously won't be able to even remember what's gone on in my households, but at least I'll be back to playing once every few weeks and documenting my stuff. If everything works out, I should be here in one or two weeks, posting unedited screenshots of my game, like I used to, and getting 2 to 5 likes on each post <3 Just how I like it!

The Burb Household

Spring, Year 1 - Recap

As spring blossomed in Pleasantview, the Burb household was riding the tides of ordinary life, punctuated by moments of pure exhilaration and the subtleties of everyday drama. With his heart forever amidst nature, John stole moments of serenity with Tucker, their loyal dog, while juggling the reality of burgeoning bills and the weight of educational choices for the kids. Jen, in her newfound role as a Competent Clerk, discovered a balance between professional aspirations and the tender demands of motherhood, all while hinting at a potential new beginning stirring within her. Lucy, a whirlwind of teenage zeal, faced the rites of passage into adolescence with excitement and trepidation, her days a rollercoaster ride between the thrills of first crushes and the blush of puberty's awkward bloom. Meanwhile, Kody, the little daredevil, embraced his sports hobby with gusto, his birthday celebration at the bowling alley a strike of joy, epitomizing the lively spirit of a Sagittarius. The season was a patchwork quilt of karaoke nights, where John's unabashed performances left Jen swooning with renewed affection, and family picnics that turned simple meals into treasured memories. Through it all, the Burbs remained a tight-knit clan, their love an anchor amid life's capricious waves. As leaves turned green and the days grew warmer, whispers of a new life, a subtle rounding of Jen's belly, and shared glances full of meaning hinted at a deepening of the family narrative. The season's end found the Burbs poised on the cusp of change, their story a captivating blend of the hilariously mundane and the quietly profound, with the sweet suspense of expectancy hanging in the air like the promise of summer's first golden sunrise.

Looks like yet another baby is on the way (thanks Kaylynn for having a marry off 6 kids ltw), I hope she's ready for another round of bottles and nappy changes.

"Ryan! Look! It's another beautiful baby boy!"

"That's nice, honey. Could you move, I can't see the Plumbob Report."

"And it's a girl!"

"Wonderful. Another set of twins."

Their names are Theo and Jessica and when I pressed random on the Triplets & Quads mod dialogue box pop up on the birth of a baby, had a minor panic that it was going to be more then just twins.

Primrose and Emilio are just very much alike. They're getting ready for school and work together while Adessa eats another serving of omelette.

“Damn, so he broke up with you at your own house?” Yara said, sitting in Ruben’s car with him in the middle of the night. “That’s cold.”

“You think breaking up in public would’ve been better?” Ruben asked. “Yeah, duh,” said Yara. “Then you can avoid that place and the bad memories attached forever! You can’t just leave your home. Well, you can, since you have a tendency to run away all the time.” Ruben lightly punched Yara in the shoulder. “You’re not helping,” he said with a laugh. “Am too,” she said, smiling. “Got you to laugh. “Yeah, I guess you did,” said Ruben.

The two chatted for a bit more, into the wee hours of the night. Soon, it was time for Yara to go home, so they exited and hugged. “You sure you don’t want me to drive you?” Ruben asked. “I mean, we were in the car the entire time.” “Nah, I’m fine with walking,” Yara said. “I’ve got a taser and pepper spray, so I’m prepared.” “Wow,” Ruben said. “Remind me never to fuck with you.” “As if you need reminding,” she said.

When they parted, Ruben’s hands lingered on Yara’s hips for just a moment. He felt a fluttery feeling stick in his chest as his friend smiled at him, her face just inches away from his. He let out a nervous laugh and backed up fast. “You good?” Yara asked. “Yeah, fine,” Ruben said, clearing his throat. “Well, goodnight.” Ruben waved and rushed inside, leaving Yara looking confused in the driveway.

Ruben lay in his bed, thinking. He couldn’t have a crush on Yara, could he? He’d just gotten out of...well, not a relationship, exactly. But something close. He didn’t feel heartbroken over Rakesh, but he wasn’t sure if he was ready to go down that road again. The Legacy and its implications were a lot to handle, and he didn’t really feel like getting involved with someone else that couldn’t handle it.

But Yara could handle it, he thought. She knew all about his predicament, as much as he hated it. She’d encouraged him to reconcile with his parents, and she’d been there for him through all of the drama. And she’d also called him out when he was being stubborn and stupid. Ruben scrubbed his face with his hands, trying to work out feelings that had been dormant for some time.
