February/March 2024 Update: Extended Hiatus

Hey guys!

So, ASD’s hiatus might be a bit longer than I expected…

You see, I think my life is starting to take a bit more of a different direction than it originally did, with the main reason is me considering making my first Visual Novel (which is based on a canon series that I know). So of course, it's going to require a lot of practice, watching tutorial videos, time, effort, and dedication. However, I am uncertain about the exact amount of time it will take. While I would like to believe that I can manage both a VN and ASD simultaneously, the truth is that it won't be easy. Therefore, I have decided to focus solely on my visual novel project as it would be more manageable for me.

I hate to make this decision, but as I’ve said countless times before (sorry 😅), the truth is that ASD is based on a story that has ended long ago. Although I don't want to let go of ASD yet, I want to focus on developing this new Visual Novel, in which I plan to work on alone also as an indie developer. This project may take a few months to a year, or even longer. Therefore, I must be honest and say that I don't know exactly when I'll be back (or if I am coming back). I want to come back, but it will take longer than one month. So, I'm technically going on an indefinite hiatus, but I hope to return to ASD in the future.

You are still allowed to send asks, but this blog might be inactive for quite a while, or at least the story itself will take a break. Maybe I’ll come back within time to post some EQG & ASD-related art from time to time. Now, do I recommend that you unfollow me? No, I don’t. I mean, I wouldn’t want you to. However, it wouldn’t be right to hold you here either 😅 So the choice is solely yours.

If your still looking for some Sonata Dusk askblog content, I recommend @sunsets-serenade. It’s the only MLP/EQG blog that I know it’s still active at this point. So all in all, the Ask Sonata Dusk story is on a semi-indefitnite hiatus, but it might post from time to time for art. I’ll let you guys know when I’ll return to continue the story!

About the vcarb ‘unfollowing’ situation!

Daniel wasn’t following Yuki at all. Not even last year. Even the graph that someone posted (please, look over it again) you can see that the box is coloured red.

I’m going to be honest and say that I don’t know if Yuki was or wasn’t following Daniel but I did see a post, a few weeks ago, about someone saying Yuki unfollowed Daniel, around that time.

To those people who are saying ‘this happened after the race’ - No, people were talking about it even before this (Australian) race.

This is no hate to anyone or any drivers - this is me just pointing something out because people just believe everything 😅

lost boys fandom, I think it’s time I just come out and say I’m (kind of) stepping away from the fandom for a bit

i still love this movie and fandom with all my heart and soul, and I will keep posting about it… just minimally for now

to keep a long story short, because i just don’t want to get into any more trouble or bring up negative feelings, i received a message from someone in the fandom that really scared me off… i can’t post anymore about my favourite movie without having anxiety attacks and crying now

Yuuken is cool, but personally, he just never appealed to me XD In terms of looks, I’m not into the body builder type of body, and his personality is funny but again not something I’m that into when it comes to characters. Call my reasons shallow or whatever, but that’s how I feel about Yuuken

Yuuka appeals to me more because she has a design and background that appeals to me more. In general, I like guys and girls, but I’m more easily appealed to girls because .. idk they’re just prettier GSHHDHSH and there’s the context that she’s really good at judo. Knowing Leona being from a hometown that highly respects strong women, it already makes an interesting dynamic between Yuu and Leona.

Yuuken appeals to a lot of people, and that’s very valid. But I have more Yuuka fangirling on the blog because to me, she’s more attractive.

All I’m saying is, please be a bit more considerate that we have our own preferences 😅 if the majority of fans are more appealed to Yuuka than Yuuken, well you can’t really avoid it sadly :/ and if you don’t want to see anymore Yuuka fangirling, I’m planning to tag all talks of the manga from here on out as #twst manga so you can block that tag. Same here, I really hate sad stuff unless it has an ok ending but to me I’m already very emotional & I don’t understand wanting to feel a negative emotion on purpose!!! Fiction is an escape from life’s BS not more heartbreak 💀😂 I don’t want to get rejected/dumped/worse in fic like I’ve experienced those things enough irl & moved past it 💁🏻‍♀️

& I’m picky about smut/not into a lot of tumblr’s kinks/a whole v card so I get that on the hardcore smut too! I’ve read some but quite a bit of it makes me uncomfortable & I don’t know how to write it 😅 I’ll only go for very suggestive here, like I have one coming up that involves that but doesn’t describe it & that’s enough for me lmao. Use you’re imagination y’all you get to do whatever you want before my writing takes over😂 there’s definitely some smut pieces on here I’ve really enjoyed, so no shade to those writers but it’s like the angst, just not my specialty! Plus in one of my biggest fandoms my bias is by far the least smutted so it’s hard to even find good works for him not me admitting I try

Using the “anti billy” tag does not inherently make you a “Billy Anti”, it’s just saying that particular post is critical of the character. It can be exhausting to see critique of a character you love, so if there’s no way to filter those posts out when needed then some people may not stick around, you know? Again, no hate, and it’s ultimately your blog so please do what you want and what makes you happy, just thought I’d bring another viewpoint!

Like please don’t be offended, but I want to hear you genuinely tell me that you think a bunch people in a marketing team for Apple films sat around a boardroom and thought : ‘how are we going to get people excited about watching the film and keep momentum going ? I know … let’s get one of the lead actors of the film to go onto his Instagram account and unfollow some accounts 😅 that’s genius marketing ! ‘

Or even if you are saying it’s Chris’ team - like what did that discussion look like ?? : okay we really want people to watch your newest film Chris, it’s coming out in March so we’ve got to keep you relevant. I know what will get people excited and wanting to watching the film!!! How about you unfollow some accounts for home decor and some friends! If that doesn’t make people want to watch your film, i don’t know what will!!’

Like I’ll give these accounts props, you are funny sometimes and you figure some things out with alarming accuracy … but not everything is an attack. The team aren’t thinking about a group of overly obsessed fans at every moment of the day. They want the whole general public to watch this film and be excited about it … trolling a group of people that stalk his Instagram account isn’t a good way to ‘ramp’ up a marketing campaign. I’m sorry it’s just not.

I think it’s stupid to unfollow someone just because they entered a new fandom I don’t interact with/don’t like/am not interested in. A lot of the people I follow are not into the same stuff as I am and if they are interested in a topic I don’t care about I just scroll past or block the tag. So I am very sorry this happened to you!
