writing denizen is rather interesting because i have to balance writing him the way he is in the books, while also adapting his personality and behavior to account for the fact that he’s eleven years older, is an adult with a job, and has probably gone to therapy for his anxiety, anger issues, and trauma in that time (the order has specialized doctors - why wouldn’t they have therapists, too?) so he’s generally calmer and more well-adjusted, but he’s also in the new and pretty scary situation of exploring other worlds, which is inherently stressful. so there’s just a lot to consider!

i’m playing around with ideas about how the kot.bd lore interacts with the tw.ewy lore (because kot.bd barely has a fandom, let alone an rpc, so i expect all of my interactions to be crossovers lol), and it’s interesting to consider what kind of vibes tenebrous would have. because they can travel between worlds easily, but they do so in the most crude, obtrusive way possible--vibes don’t matter when you already live in-between worlds and can just tear a hole through the universe, do they? and they’re creatures of instability and change, so perhaps their vibes fluctuate wildly and that contributes to their reality-warping aura and the feelings of sickness being around them can cause.
