I'm feeling strong enough to work again.

For a while, I've been stuck on the BoB Pikachu to Mimikyu conversion. I had been thinking about sewing a cylinder or triangle body, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I wasn't sure of the dimensions, and I didn't want to make a whole bunch that would end up not working out. Then I remembered my stockpile of foam.

I'm so happy the first piece I pulled out was just about perfect. I added more under the cloth to see if it needed bulking up, which it did. I ultimately glued a piece of foam to the front of the big piece, so it looks like the third picture. I'll round out the foam by cutting and padding with some stuffing and batting. Tomorrow I'll get bendy straws so the head and arms can 'break'.

I have beginnings of ideas for my next big embroidery projects. I need to do some research and start sketching, after I finish this.

Rey Dau Plush

Plush FINALLY completed after starting it in January, then putting it off until recently, probably because this was quite an intimidating project with all the details I can muster on this. It all worked out in the end and is now my most complex piece.

I want to thank those who have been following the progress on this. There will be more Monster Hunter plushies ahead in the next coming months.

Are There Any Restrictions?

I’m located in the USA mainland, so if you win, you must have a reasonable shipping address. If you’re in a country that’s difficult to ship to for any reason, I’ll randomly select another winner.
