Cat's Chimerical Creations Lore: Mister Poison Paws

This is Mister Poison Paws the Robin / Scorpion Centaur:

Although he does indeed have poison inside his paws, his name is something of a misnomer, as anyone poisoned to death with his paws can also be resurrected with a second stab.

He enjoys combing his bird parts in order to remain nice and smooth. He also enjoys bullying his daddy by pretending he's about to poison-stab him, but then actually smoothing his head feathers down.

He likes to hide, and is very afraid of the concept of having fans. (I suspect he just doesn't want Minty to start following him around in search of "fame"). He likes to keep everything a secret, to the point where his catchphrase is "ssshhh!" accompanied by a claw lifted to his beak, and his 2024 letter to Santa was completely obscured with a "top secret!" sticker.

(Santa seemed to understand what it said though. Similar to the situation with Dancing Feet, this is presumably a Santa thing)

He enjoys true crime, spooky stories, and warm weather. Although he's mostly content to go with the flow, he can occasionally react badly to disappointment. When he realised that the three week break where both his parents were home was coming to an end, he got so stressed out at the concept that he repeatedly tried to poison his own head.

Luckily he's immune to his own poison, and these days my partner and I trade off taking him to work with us every now and then, which seems to have helped.

What about plushies that get sold in stores?

Cat's Chimerical Creations Lore: Little G

This is Little G the Gremlin Child:

Little G is a scrapbag baby, made from leftover pieces of three different Beanie Babies.

Little G is quiet, small, and kind. He loves to spend time with his big brother Fattiyeti, and enjoys playing games, earning trophies, and discussing boats (one day he would like to build and sail a boat too!)

He started coming out of himself a bit more as of February 2024, when he was a specifically named guest to his Daddy's birthday party (all the babies are automatically invited, but Little G tends to spend a lot of time packed away in the storage tubs so sometimes you have to be a little more direct if you want him to show up!)

For his Christmas letter to Santa last year, he made a lovely drawing of him with Fattiyeti, which Father Christmas greatly appreciated!

Little G is the quintessential little brother - just happy to be included, and always ready to join in with whatever activity his siblings are doing!

Sometimes my partner and I worry that he might be overshadowed by the more forceful personalities of the rest of the Bedtime Crew, so we try to take him out for one on one time every now and then.

His most recent trip was out the library and then to a pub for dinner with his Daddy, which he said was very exciting but also tiring!

But mostly, Little G is a homebody who loves to spend cozy times with his brothers and sisters!

Froggie grew up with parents who abused them and denied their child's autism and other conditions as when the doctors said so. they never got them acessessed Froggie was not given support or accommodations. they were homeschooled by their abusive parents. they are semiverbal, high support needs, age stunted, and extremely traumatized.

their parent's had Lettuce, they were also extremely abusive when they figured out they had another high support needs child.

when Froggie 18, he was kicked out, and was hospitalized, for being "erratic" in public. they were accessed, treated for abuse (roppe burn, half healed broken rib, burns, etc) and put into Dreamer's care, a disability program for all ages.

Froggie led police to their house where they saved Lettuce out of that situation. Lettuce taught it's to read at write even though they were 8 and never went to school (it's an savant)

Lettuce wrote 2 books worth of abusive situations they witnessed or what was given to them since age 2. they learned to read and write at 4, and remembers trauma fat back as age 2. their parent's are in jail

how common is santa giving toyfolk away as gifts?

There was once a fat and bunchy velveteen rabbit. He was one of the toyfolk - living playthings made by the Shadow of St. Nick. As with all toyfolk, he had once been a man, a wayward ne’er-do-well who had landed himself on the Naughty List. Seeing how he failed being a man, the Demon of Christmas (as some people called him) felt he was far better suited in a different role - that of a toy.

And so, one December night, He-Who-Punishes came for him. Molding his body like clay, his skin turned to velveteen, his insides turned to stuffing, his eyes turned to sateen, and his hair turned to thread. And like pottery in a kiln, he was placed in the Land of Toys to bake. A magical place where toys learn how to play nice.

He-Who-Takes had taken his humanity, had taken his realness. Wanting to get them back, the Velveteen Rabbit sought out He-Who-Gives, that right jolly old elf he knew as Father Christmas. But he should have known better, for the Toymaker does not give gifts to toys, he gives toys as gifts.

The next Christmas morning, the Velveteen Rabbit awoke, sat wedged in the top of a Christmas stocking with a sprig of holly between his paws. There were other things in the stocking; nuts, oranges, a toy fire engine, chocolate almonds, and even a clockwork mouse, but the Rabbit was quite the best of all.

For at least two hours the Boy who had gotten him had loved him, and then Aunts and Uncles came to dinner. There was a great rustling of tissue paper and unwrapping of parcels, and in the excitement of looking at all the new presents, the Velveteen Rabbit lay forgotten.

It was only when he was alone, or in the presence of the Boy, that he was able to move – for toys are for children, and a toy needs to be played with for life to be breathed into it. A toy is an instrument for imagination, and imagination is magic in its most basic form.

For a long time, he lived in the toy cupboard or on the nursery floor, and no one thought very much about him. He was naturally shy, and being only made of velveteen, some of the more expensive-looking toyfolk snubbed him. The mechanical toys were very superior and looked down upon everyone else; they were full of modern ideas, and pretended they were real as they spiraled into toy fugue. Even Timothy, the wooden lion, began putting on the air and pretending to be a king – something that the King of Toyland would not find amusing had he known. The terrified little Rabbit was made to feel himself very insignificant and commonplace, and the only person who was kind to him at all was the Skin Horse.

I just realized I've never fully shared how I keep track of my plushies and there lore and well its a lot. my plushies are kinda like OC's for me but there stories and personalities kinda write themselves lol I do like to keep physical and digital copies of all the goings on in the little world that they live in. I wanna show you a glimpse of it today maybe it will give you ideas for you're own plush or toys ^.^

I have three notebooks the one on the left is where I put all my plushies information(resident book) down so kinda like a more indepth birth certificate. the one on the right is drafts for ideas, stories, character development that's happened. The one in the middle is new but that's where non drafts go and where the plushies apart of the main cast will have more in depth intros. I do have a town map for them in the spiral bound notebook and in the middle one but that's a story for another day ^.^

I also keep a spreadsheet in case something happens to either notebooks, this Is all the information on each plush so date of birth, last name, occupation, hobbies ect etc

Last but certainly not least is i make pintrest boards for them it mostly for fun but it really helps me get a clear vision of what there personality is like and what the world they live in looks like through there eyes. I use piccrew character makers sometimes as well but the moodboards are my main go to.
