speaking of buddies, my one Best Buddy in PokeGO is a Garchomp i walked with for goddamn ever because i have seen a Gible ONCE in the wild and needed the Pokedex entries...he was a Gible for a long time and part of my morning routine was waking up and opening up AR+ to put him at the foot of my bed so i could pet and take a picture of him for the hearts

anyway this worked for a while because he was pretty small as a Gible but it got a little weird after he evolved because then i was waking up to this every morning:

I didn’t play Pokemon Go for like a year, but now I realised that I could put it on my work phone where the AR actually works and the game doesn’t load for two minutes.
