Larry never thought he would that lucky to have found someone like you, someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with and while his battle was long and he may fought hard he did lose in then. His head tipping to the student. The man couldn’t help but feel relief lifting from his shoulders, maybe now he had the chance to relax with you, spend more time with you.

Your voice rang out through the crowd, you did your best to get to your husband. Ignoring Geeta and whatever she was going to say to you. Right now she didn’t matter, right now you just wanted to see him, to congratulate him on the hard fought battle.

“Larry!”

The man Barry had a chance to catch you as you launched yourself in his arms, your lips pressing against his in a joyful kiss. It took him a moment to register the kiss only for him to relax in the embrace. His arms weaving around your waist as he held you close.

He may have lost this battle but to you, to you he’ll always be a winner in your eyes.

Ohhh okay, this one is like. Mega short. But it was fun to do! You’re sooo right they all are in desperate need of hugs.

Hugs From Elite Four And Gym Leaders

Katy

- Incredibly soft and warm. She’ll rock back and forth, humming contentedly while she hugs you. When she pulls back, the front of your shirt will be covered in flour. Katy giggles in response.

Brassius

- Unfortunately, no matter how much effort Brassius puts into his hugs, they’re always awkward and bony. He’s more likely to wrap and arm around your shoulder and hold you against him rather than give you a hug.

Kofu

- Picks you up and spins you. He smells very savory from all the food he cooks, so hugs from Kofu never fail to make you hungry. His hugs tend to be very tight as well. Firm and grounding.

Larry

- Another awkward hugger, though he’s on the softer side. If you’re not super close with him, he’ll pat you on the back a few times before pulling away. With his partner, it’d take the jaws of life to pry him off you. Sweats a lot.

Ryme

- Her hugs are strong and firm, though she’s another side hugger. Ryme likes to squeeze you close to her and press a kiss to your temple.

Tulip

- She likes to cup your face. It’s her favorite mode of affection. Even when she’s holding you close, her hand is gently caressing your cheek. Will sometimes lean down to give you a butterfly kiss. She thinks it’s cute.

Grusha

- He doesn’t hug often, but when he does it’s warm and intimate. Grusha will press his forehead to yours and hold you for as long as possible.

Rika

- Isn’t particularly fond of hugs. The best you’ll get out of her is knocking your shoulder against hers as she gives you two strong thumps on your back.

Hassel

- One of, if not the best hugger on this list. The easiest way to describe a hug from Hassel is comforting. He’s sturdy and will hold you as long as possible. Hassel also emits a lot of heat, so you’ll eventually have to let go or you’ll start sweating on him.

This is becoming by far, my favorite little mini-series. I hope you're enjoying this as much as I'm enjoying writing it!

The reader is presumed female.

The exhaustion from having just gotten off work was replaced with excitement this being your first date ever. As you step out the shower wrapping a towel around your naked body you contemplate on what you should wear.

Would he like dresses? Or something to show off your legs or body? Your face felt hot, putting your head in your hands and shaking the embarrassment of you thinking about those onyx eyes staring at you with pure love and infatuation. You want to appeal to him, make his heart skip a beat like he does to you.

Your mind started to drift from outfits to where he would take you. Really, you don't care where he takes you. The simple fact that he agreed to take you anywhere made you kick your feet and squeal like you were a lovestruck teenage girl again.

Ultimately you decided picking something that flows in the wind with colors that make your eyes pop. Before glancing over at your phone that's that idly on your dresser.

Larry and you had exchanged contact numbers so he could contact you to meet up but you had gotten cold feet a few times when you tried to text him first.

But when you hear your phone go off, you don't dash to that device faster, staring at the bright screen with your eyes wide, silently screaming when you see the special name you picked for him in your contacts. His first message to you.

'Are you ready? Meet me on main street Medali.'

Such a normal text for an exceptionally ordinary man you wouldn't have it any other way.

You're finally going crazy.

Larry nervously loosened his tie, only to tighten it straight for the third time. For the first time in his life, he was early, and not only that, he was really going all out instead of his usual black suit he was wearing.... light gray.

A bold choice, but he was willing to try something new for the first date he had in a decade. He made sure the suit had nothing sticking to it no komala fur, no Trophius leaves, and no Staraptor feathers

Speaking of his date, his eyes widened when he saw your heart skipping a beat. Larry, no, he didn't know much about dressing nicely aside from a standard suit and tie, but he knew that what you were wearing suited you and only added to the long list of things he loved about you.

Though he couldn't quite put it into words he found himself speechless when you stood before him.

"Hi." You greeted awkwardly, your eyes twinkling like stars breaking him out of the trance they put him in. He gazed up and down trying to find some way to compliment you it's what you deserve after all

"Urm... you're outfit, Its... very... you."

He panicked when he saw your face droop.

"oh is it not good?"

"N-no, I-i didn't mean it wasn't good I meant that it's a very cute because I think you are... cute."

His awkward fumbling seem to perky back up, his face turning red at the pitiful attempt at flirting. His ex was right; he needs to get better at flirting.

Ultimately, he decided for that walk in the park. He didn't think he would mind either way, but he didn't like the idea of taking you out to another restaurant after you just got off of work. And besides, the only restaurant he knew locally was the Treasure Eatery, and knowing your coworkers, he had a feeling that their privacy wouldn't feel very private if he took you there.

Not to mention the fact that you work there.

But he did feel a little bad he didn't want to bore you to death even though dating him was kind of exactly what you signed up for.

" I'm sorry if this isn't what you had in mind."

Larry apologized has the two of you made your way over to and nearby bench.

"huh? Oh no" you smiled " you're fine actually it's delightful it's been quite hectic at work recently since we're starting to get a bigger influx of trainers and and it's much harder taking on the league with an empty stomach a peaceful walk in the park like this is exactly what I need."

Larry humed in response his lip curving into a small smile a little relieved with your answer "Those monsters, they're working you to your grave." Your eyes widen. Despite Larry's less than expressive voice You knew about the Elite Fours member and your coworker's relationship. That's not only their regular but in some cases, their 'boss' I mean the treasure Eatery doubles as his gym.

" Was that a joke?" You giggled brushing some straight hair out of your face before looking up at him.

" you're surprised?"

You couldn't stop smiling.

" Sorry sorry I just never saw you as the type you always look so serious."

" I guess I'm just full of surprises." Larry said in his monotone voice.

There wasn't much to do at the park, but that was okay. All you wanted to do was be with your date. The conversation you had with him was nice. I saw a side of him that you don't usually see at work, as he would point out different kinds of bird Pokemon and tell you little facts about them.

You admitted to Larry that You're always busy with work, so you never had a Pokemon of your own. Even though you really wanted to buy yourself a Pokeball or two and catch a new friend or just adopt an egg needing a home, you never really got around to it. This was information that Larry would definitely need for later, especially when he asked you what kind of Pokemon you would like to take care of hypothetically, and your answer of something easy and familiar, like a normal type or a flying type, caught his attention. You really were a woman after his own heart.

Before you could make any moves on your date by putting your hand on his or snuggling closer to him, sadly, the date was cut short when the wind started to pick up your date and saw you shudder. He wasted no time. " Are you cold? I could lend you my jacket. And I could take you home. We could always spend some time together another day, perhaps somewhere inside."

You cursed at yourself, damn you Tornadus, but your heart did make you feel toasty on the inside when Larry pretty much confirmed that he would love to take you out again.

" thank you I'd like that."

The two of you continued small talk as he walked you to your apartment you tried not to bombard the poor man with questions but you just couldn't help it you wanted to know more about him especially after that he reminded you that yes he is in fact a gym leader and an elite four member and to you a Pokemonless person were bringing with curiosity.

Larry didn't mind even though that technically he claimed you first. It seemed that after showing you a picture of his Staraptor as a baby, Starly it seemed that his old friend stole you from him.

As you waved goodbye and by the time you close the door in your apartment you realized you still had Larry's jacket on you.

You couldn't help but feel the heat rest to your face, getting a whiff of that cologne you came to love. That's when you saw it: a pink feather sticking to the back of the felt.

Larry didn't seem to mind that his jacket was in your possession, oh, and he answered the culprit that pink feathered his coat with a new picture of a pink bird Pokemon that you've never seen before.

It did give you a reason to go visit him or for him to see you. You already felt nervous from the mear idea.

Absolutely! This man has been living rent free in my head since the moment I saw him,,, (ღ˘ω˘ღ) Gotta start with the fave! Hope you enjoy these!

✧General Yandere Headcanons✧ — Gym Leader Larry

Warning(s): Slight Spoilers for Scarlet/Violet!, Obsessive Behavior, Monopolizing, Slight Hints of Possessive Behavior

So... As a yandere, it would take a while until Larry gained an obsession towards you. It's not like he's rejecting the possibility of a romantic relationship, it's just that he's busy... Plus, it takes time for him to gain romantic feelings and again, he's a man who enjoys the simple life. You'd have to be a constant in his life in order for his attention to be grabbed. Hanging around him when he's on break with either a visit to Treasure Eatery or a battle here and there (though he prefers to eat with you) is the best way to do so.

When his yandere traits arise, he'll immediately know and be highly aware of them unlike most yanderes. Larry absolutely knows himself and his life enough to notice anything out of place. The growing yandere traits will be found out instantly. It's a bit conflicting to deal with, because, this isn't the norm. This isn't how a person should feel towards someone they'd normally love. Is this love? Maybe it was, but Larry can tell it isn't... Traditional.

He can't ignore it, honestly. No matter how much he tries to go through his daily routine, the thought of you sticks with him like super glue. Thankfully, it doesn't get to the point where it messes with his work, but he's catch himself lacking here and there. He can't even be mad at you. That wouldn't be fair since, it's his feelings but some part of him knows that you visiting him has caused this reaction in the first place.

So what does Larry do? Well, unlike most yanderes, he can't just devote time into stalking you to gather information or find time to spend with you. No, he just has to incorporate you into his daily life/schedule somehow. You already spend time with him during his breaks, so that's good. Sooner or later, it won't just be eating together that will be the only time you two interact. This man will basically monopolize your time in due course. It's not something immediate, rather, slowly but surely so you won't take notice. He prefers it that way, being able to take the reigns and put things in place to have things running smoothly.

Larry isn't very outward with his yandere behavior, making him one of the most difficult yanderes to detect. Which means that there are high chances that you'll find out too late about his obsession towards you unless you're very perceptive. Speaking of which, he also doesn't get jealous. I mean, you already go out of your way to see him during breaks so it gives him some semblance that you might have a reason in doing so. He won't jump to conclusions, but with how he's working things around, Larry isn't afraid of others showing interest in you. At some point, you won't even be able to have time for them.

Oh, but you know who does get jealous? His Pokemon. Even if Larry hasn't spoken too much about his true feelings for you to them, they can tell he's grown an attachment. Komala and Altaria are quite clingy around you, always sticking around your person in some way. There was even a time where you had difficulty prying off the comatose state pokemon from your arm when Larry had to go back to work. She made disgruntled faces as she nuzzled her face into your arm.

Thankfully, he didn't need to bring her since this work wasn't related to the Gym, so he let her cling to you. Altaria also just decided to hover close to you, making herself look bigger if anyone attempted to flirt with you. Also, I like to think that Oinkologne rubs against your to make sure you're scented, so other pokemon and people will know not to linger around you too long.

Oh, but Staraptor and Braviary are the worst when it comes to being protective of you. The former is a little more rational and keeps the latter from doing anything too rash unless needed. Altaria doesn't get aggressive like them, but she is also a close contender in terms of possessiveness. Anyways, the mentioned birds just... Hang around you and if any person tries to get too close to you, they'll use intimidation to get them running off. All of them are highly aware of how much you mean to Larry, so they just can't let anyone else besides him have you. Besides, they enjoy your company immensely and wouldn't want to lose that, especially since they can see how your mere presence brings him more to look forward to.

If you don't count the very protective pokemon Larry has, there's not much of a danger posed towards others. He isn't going to be a danger to himself or you either for obvious reasons. Larry only wants a simple life with you, but of course, these feelings aren't so simple. So he just adapts to it as best as he can, making sure he's the only constant in your life. You won't even notice how your life is shifting ever so slightly to fit with his own. So, in short terms, there's really no need for kidnapping. It's too much of a hassle anyways and... He really doesn't want it to get to that point, no matter how much some urges scream at him. Everything will be alright. Just leave everything to him.

Thank you for meeting me here today, friends, for our special extra credit class, 'The Art of Gay Lore'! Now, if you'll all follow me to the art room...

Now, Professor Hassel may or may not know we're here, so everyone keep this on the down-low k? It's a weekend, we'll be fine... everyone participating today will be wired some totally legitimate LP in thanks, which... well, maybe don't mention that to Professor Hassel either? He does work for the League after all...

Anyway, I'm Professor Mini Holz, and today's special class is on the topic of the classroom itself! Now, would anyone like to hazard a guess as to why this classroom is particularly important on our journey into deeper homosexual lore?

A) Art is especially gay in Paldea

B) There's some interesting shit going on here

C) Everything Hassel does and is connects to his own homosexual love story and general softness

Correct, random guy at the back there! That's right folks, there's no true answer, because the answer is yes. (Though you can have extra extra credit for C, you've clearly read my metas.)

Now, let's start over on the left, shall we? Your eyeballs are mine, caught in my meta web...

We start with several colour charts, which is fairly standard for an art room.

What's fun here is that this is the RGB colour wheel, which is not used really in art theory, but more to determine how colour is viewed in digital mediums. If you mix blue and yellow paint, you get green, not cyan. Likewise, the triple diagram beside it is for printing colours - cyan, magenta, and yellow. It's also the exact colour scheme of one of The Harvests in Artazon.

... Now, imagine a world where colour is used on a digital platform to create alternate meanings to those in standard colour theory, such as, oh I don't know, POKEMON TYPES. And then, imagine a scenario where a local and well-known artist does exactly that in his sculptures. What a wild world that would be, right? Insane...

Also, these are rainbow colours. Professor Hassel has two rainbow posters in his classroom. Let's carry on, it's too early in the class to lose my mind...

And as we move to the centre of our classroom, I need you to all just stand back for a second. That's right, against that wall over there...

The seats, guys. Those seats we sit on for every class are Grass, Dragon and Electric-coloured, much like that one Harvest that symbolises the unity between Professor Hassel, gym leader Brassius, and an Arboliva.

If you look closely and count, friends, you'll see that there's also six of each of them if we count the two Electric ones off to the left, which is how many olives orbit The Harvest. Fascinating isn't it, that there's such a clear reference to the harmony of Professor Hassel and his husband in the middle of our classroom, specifically where we're meant to relax? Almost as though he finds deep comfort in his marriage...

It's not the only thing evocative of those types in this room, though. If you turn to your right for me, and check out that curious little piece in the corner...

Mmm. A very familiar colour palette, I think we can all agree. Thank you to my colleague @spiritofstars for showing me this - she's already taken extra credit. This appears to be a kabocha, a certain type of squash, which a little research explains nicely:

... Well. Now, who could we possibly know who has been 'deathly ill', and who Professor Hassel might wish to see safely through the winter? Ah yes, that's right - Brassius, that same one who told us that very thing in Art (4). This is reinforced by the presence of blue cineraria flowers beneath the painting, which as my other colleague @someguynamededdie pointed out in its recent flower meta, mean something super cute:

You see how the Dragon blue is the background colour, the 'protector' of the kabocha? We live in a society, and that society is so gay dear Arceus. My dear little bro also notes that orange poppies, the flowers next to the blue cinerarias, symbolise health and regeneration, so...

So, what does all of that together mean?

A) Professor Hassel is a goddamn sap

B) Professor Hassel is soft and protective and he makes me want to sob

C) Professor Hassel is completely enamoured with his windmill-jumping husband

Mmm, yes, correct! It's any and all of them, thank you for listening. We have this concept of 'protector' also summed up nicely in the top right corner of the room:

Here we find a Jigglypuff - a Fairy type, something Professor Hassel's Pokemon are weak to. And in the middle, we find a mannequin - a model, directly in front of a piece about a man being haunted by his past - look very closely, and you'll see the ghost in the distant window, looming over the more confident man at the forefront. And it's beside the Grass-type seats. But you'll note the Dragon-type coloured lamp on the same desk.

Here, we see a man who could be weakened, who could allow himself to fall victim to the ghosts of his past, the family he ran from - but because of the Grass, because of his own light, he doesn't. He stays here, and teaches us, and loves his husband.

Perhaps Professor Hassel isn't the only protective one, and perhaps Brassius isn't the only one who finds hope and salvation in his love. It's very interesting, isn't it class?

And Brassius, despite being a very prominent figure in the narrative of this room, isn't the only person being referenced here. If we move to the centre of the room, we of course find this:

There's a whole narrative here about 'flying free' - if we look at Professor's Jacq's Pokedex entry for Staraptor, we see that:

That's exactly what Professor Hassel did, left his family because they were terrible! It's crazy, really, because as a protector, he must also be very sturdy! Trust me, I've defeated him in the Elite Test - he calls himself 'the dragon guarding the final fortess', and he means it. We also see Brassius fly free - quite literally as he jumps off windmills, but he's been freed from his own awful past, too... by Professor Hassel.

And who must a Staraptor remind us of? Well, gym leader Larry of course, Professor Hassel's friend and fellow Elite Four member... much like those poppies over there, which bring to mind our good little Steel-type sister in Arceus, Poppy. In fact, I think she might well be responsible for some of these drawings...

Note the Phanpy, there, which could represent Rika as a little Ground-type cutie. But what's fascinating about this wall is the selection of Pokemon here.

Gyrados is a big, scary Water type which people often confuse for a dragon... Ditto can be anything, but adapts to its surroundings, always keeping its own stats intact... Eevee can one be one of eight different Pokemon one day, and its evolution is a joint decision between trainer and Pokemon... Cacnea is a small, cheerful, spikey Grass-type, which reminds me an awful lot of a certain gym leader, and Dedenne - well, Dedenne doesn't evolve, and yet we have a larger, rounder one, and a littler, happier one.

... Huh. They're all relevant, aren't they? Dragons being confused by their own paths; Eevee, its own fate undecided as a youngster; Ditto, who shows us that however much we change, we're still the same within; our pair of Dedennes, representing size and shape and happiness, and a little Grass guy who looks like Brassius, all smiles and victory - he even has a little crown!

... Wow. Even I wasn't expecting to discover this much! I hope you're taking notes... now, I don't know if Poppy did draw these lovely pictures, but there's one here that show a pair of Rookidee, and she has a Corviknight. I reckon that if nothing else, she definitely is responsible for this one, and that's adorable. The one on the right even looks unimpressed, which might have had something to do with it worrying about the future of that Tinkatink she also used to have...

But I'd like to leave you today, class, with a final painting, this one right here in fact, with the colourful squares.

Now, this is right next to the colour charts we looked at earlier, but - well, when someone has no colour, all they are is white. And from nothing grows identity - Grass, Electric, Fire, Steel, Water, Dragon, if we follow the colours of types. And so we have Brassius - from a small boy who doesn't yet know himself, to a Grass-type trainer, to one bursting with the creative sparks of Electric and the passion of Fire, to one who must 'steel' himself against the hardships of life... through Water-y tears, and to Dragon. And if we do a little more research into squares...

... Well, class. Isn't that enlightening. A journey to trust and stability, showcased in art. You could even view it the other way around - if this is about Professor Hassel, he starts as a Dragon, and he dissolves into tears... he 'steels' himself to live alone, away from a family who doesn't understand him... he embraces passion in Fire, makes music and art... until he finds his 'spark' in teaching, in the Elite Four, through the Grass-type trainer. And white, of course, is not just absence - white is what happens when all the colours blend together.

Well, I do hope you've enjoyed extra credit! Expect that LP as soon as I can get hold of Pen - wait, Sir?

ok so i feel like larry is honestly just something something overqualified meme of just being stuck in pokemon training

like, he was initially having fun with the whole pokemon raising and training thing, hell, using the geeta rival headcanon maybe she was his rival who got him involved. he grew up and was invited to be a gym leader and he was, obviously a good battler. inviting the area zero sorts of headcanon he has a very important role and would have to be a really skilled trainer. but its just like, not really any sort of passion anymore. like, either between the mental illness feels burnout or just, growing out of the phase, he only really keeps doing it because its just his most stable option and well if it aint broke dont fix it.

like i think hes grown past some jaded views he might have had towards being a league member, seen the job for what it is, and its gone from dream job to just... what gets the bills paid.

man im so close to derailing this post into my anti capitalism rant but rlly i just think larrys an old prune whos just not into the job anymore but trying to move on and do anything else is just not viable in this economy, hed have to start from zero relevant experience again and thats just not realistic.

Bestie: "A true work of art" (Lee!Larry, Lers!Brassius, Hassel)

Through no fault of his own, Larry found himself in a rather peculiar situation.

“Come now- there’s no point in fighting it.” Despite his words, Brassius’ tone lacked any real impatience, his smile soft as he continued clawing at the businessman’s ribs from behind. “You know you’re going to laugh, Ray. It’s a given.”

“Now Brassy, you know how our dear Ray Ray is.” Hassel cooed from his spot at Larry’s feet, keeping one foot in an armlock as the other scratched against his sole. “You have to give him a certain type of motivation.”

“Mmmph! N-Noohohoho, stahhahap it!” Larry yelped, covering his mouth with one hand as he stubbornly refrained. They wouldn’t get the better of him- he was an elite four member! Not that…really meant anything in this particular moment, but he had some pride!

“Ah, how could I forget?” Brassius tsked in mock disappointment, leaning in so he was right by the other man’s ear. “Come now, Ray Ray. We just want to hear that adorable laughter of yours~ It would make you all the more precious if you did.”

“Brassy is right! Our precious Ray Ray would be all the more adorable if he let himself laugh!” Hassel reached up, going for the awful spot beneath Larry’s toes. “Ah? There it is!”

“Gehhahahahhhaha! Nohohohohohohoo!” The trapped man broke, bursting into lively giggles as his partners attacked his tickle spots with fresh vigor. “Brhahahahahhahahss! Hahahhahahhahss! Stahhahahahap ihihiihihihihit!”

“There it is! Like music to my ears! Ah, what a beautiful sound, isn’t it Brassy?” Hassel lit up, looking back at Brassius with warm eyes. The beginning of tears were there, but that was to be expected for the man.

A/n: Got Larry on the brain,

He wasn’t used too this….being taken care of.The man half expected that he would die alone, work himself to death is whet his mother would say, he thought that until you came along.

He was eating his meal as usual and you chose to sit down next to him. He didn’t know why, most strangers tended to avoid them. It’s not like he could blame them though, he was never really good around people but you, you were different.

You had a bright smile on your face, an Eevee sat upon your shoulder. You introduced yourself then your Pokémon. You talked a mile a minute, but he hung on every word. Once you left you said your goodbyes then rushed out of the little restaurant. He hoped to see you again and it was later that day he had found out you were a Pokémon nurse.

“How fitting.”

He started to drop by your little clinic whenever he could, you’d scolded him the first time for his injured Pokémon but you warmed up after that. You would teach him better remedies to help heal his little friends while he would cook for you and that little Eevee that seemed to always be perched upon your shoulder.

It did not take long for Larry to develop a crush on you. The man not knowing how to act around you now but you just smiled, grasping his hand gently and all of a sudden those nerves vanished.

That was a year ago but to him it felt like a life time and now he can’t imagine a day with out you. Giving your hand a gentle squeeze he pulled you to a stop. You head tipping to the side as you glanced up at him, confusion marrying your face.

“Y/n…you know how much you mean too me…I.”

Smiling you stood on your toes placing your hands one his cheeks as you pulled him in for a kiss. “I know Larry, you feel like home to me too.”

A small smile formed on his face as he let his arms pull you in close, breathing in your scent. He suddenly didn’t feel tired anymore.

He finally found his home.

I'm more than amused thinking about how the reader will overlook the pirate shirts. 'Gosh must be really hot today. I better dress for the weather too like they have.' And then they wear something airy that makes them look even more radiant and tantalising.

I like to imagine it’s like… WOUGH you won’t deny that Brassius looks great in the shirts! He really does cut a striking figure with tight pants and loose sleeves with his collarbones peeking out like wildflowers in a field of grass and it’s nice to see Hassel dressing down for once, in a simple cute button-up and rolled-up sleeves that shows off his scarred forearms, and you know what they’re right; the weather is kinda hot today so you might as well dress down too

and then you show up in comfortable airy clothes that they’ve never seen before and they’re stunned. what are they, a couple of horny preteens? No they’re already approaching mid-to-late-fourties and it’s just normal clothes, they’re not gonna be rude but god, the skin of your exposed arms and maybe a peek of your collarbones and a hint of leg plus that relaxed smile has Brassius zeroing-in and Hassel to keep sneaking glances bc you look… really good. Stunning, radiant, avant-garde! Brassius internally curses how of all days he doesn’t have his sketchbook on him

Larry

- Your sense of style doesn’t stick out too much to Larry. It’s simply you. Fitting, a bit intense for him, but fitting nonetheless. If anyone gives you odd stares while you’re out and about, Larry is prone to think he’s the reason for it. He’ll check his reflection in the nearest window to see if he has something stuck in his hair or a booger hanging out of his nose. You laugh and say people are staring at you. The two of you make an odd couple. Larry’s brows knit together as he asks, “Why?”

- You vaguely gesture to yourself, which doesn’t help much. Larry accepts you as you are, with zero questions. If he’s out and something catches his eye that reminds him of you, he’ll pick it up. Sometimes it’s a shirt for a band you don’t even listen to, but the decal fits your aesthetic. It’s the thought that counts, really. Larry, unfortunately, doesn’t care for the music you listen to. He’s not a music guy, to begin with. The most he listens to is pop music on the radio. He’ll make an effort for you, though. If you want to take him to a concert, he’d be happy to join you. As you and the crowd go wild around him, he stands motionless in the sea of people, still in his suit. He wasn't sure what else to wear.

Hassel

l- You remind him of his youth. After he left his family, it took a while for him to settle on what style he preferred. For some time, he mimicked Brassius with sweeping hair, dark clothes, and heavy makeup. Hassel eventually realized that wasn’t his preferred mode of dress, though it still holds a fond place in his heart. Even fonder since you’ve come into his life.

- He loves the way you look, intense and unique, but wholly you. With his previous experience, as little as it may be, he is more than happy to help assist you with any styling needs. Hassel is particularly adept at dying and styling hair. His hands are gentle against your scalp, and if you watch him closely, you can see the love he has for you shine in his eyes. Every piercing you get, Hassel nags you about keeping them clean. He had an infection once when Brassius pierced his nose back when they were teenagers. Incredibly stupid of them both. Hassel knows this and will laugh along with you if you poke fun at him.

what do you think of the designs of the badges in pokemon scarlet and violet compared to the designs of the badges in past pokemon games?

I'll be honest I haven't played Scarlet or Violet so I had to Google what they looked like and the fact it was difficult to find a picture with all the badges and I could only view them all on a zoomed in YouTube thumbnail, oof that ain't it fam. I'll give the game the leeway of its a new game therefore there may be less footage but after some research I found you don't even have a badge box? Which. I'm taking away points again there cause no badge box?? No easy view?? Gotta view one at a time? Nah. Hate that personally.

While looking at the badges as well, again probably because I haven't played it, but I genuinely couldn't identify which was what, like okay the link fairy looking one probably fairy, ice cream probably ice type, the weird block probably steel, paint palette? Paint type??? Though it's probably normal type though Larry is that gym leader I think and that doesn't actually make sense now I'm thinking about it? Obviously flower plant thing for grass, I was a bit disappointed there the grass type gym leader he's a bit of a menacing bramble thorn themed man he could've had a bramble thorn looking badge but no it basic leaf you'd think they'd give him or he'd be allowed a custom badge like do the gym leaders design them? If they do oof uninspired. Also blue one for water, bug for bug, yellow for electric type I think. But I saw at least 3 that I thought were dark type and wasn't sure on. They don't really feel very good in my opinion.

Now I do respect its probably hard to come up with decent designs game after game maybe they're running low on inspiration tank but compared to past games they don't feel very good. I never played sword or shield either but that badges make a circle shield idea was cool! If a little impractical I suppose like in a logical world sense, they're very weird shaped it'd feel strange showing off singular badges and it probably looks strange in your badge box but satisfying when you have them all that's fun. I think they should have fun with badges experiment.

A fun idea I just had, perhaps the next badge box because please bring it back is a scenery and getting the respective badges adds in that respective element to complete to picture, a badge that looks like flowing water that sits in the scenery as the start of the river, maybe a grass type plant that's a cluster of flowers or petal like shapes that make a barren patch a meadow of color ect. I dunno just thoughts.
