Nursey heading to Barbenheimer with the SMH crew in a matching powder pink hoodie and sweat shorts set with retro pink Nike high tops and heart-shaped sunglasses. He's not dressed for Oppenheimer at all.

Dex is not dressed for either movie, he's in flannels as usual. He's only there because there's talk of jello shots being passed around in the theatre once the lights go down. (And because it's Nursey's turn to buy popcorn.)

Chowder is dressed in a white shirt and grey pants with a fedora, and he has a hot pink tie and pocket square.

Farmer is in a full 1940s mens outfit with suspenders, proper wingtips, an actual fedora (Chowder's is a trilby but she won't tell him that), cufflinks and a pipe. She's sweating so hard she might pass out.

i wanna talk about the polycule so im gonna talk about the polycule. because i keep telling myself im gonna talk about the polycule and then i never do. so here's the long fucking post talking about the polycule

so when niko moves to the farm and disappears from town, whitney is the first one to notice. he storms into the library one day and demands that sydney tell him where the hell niko is. sydney, not being the kind of person to randomly kidnap his boyfriend, scoffs and tells whitney that he doesn't know either, but it's clear that he's worried. they spend the next week scouring the town for any sign of niko. more than a few ribs are broken, as whitney is quick to deliver a beating to anyone who insults niko due to his reputation. sydney hangs back at these times, but he finds himself fixating on the enraged reddening of whitney's face, the narrowing of his eyes, the beads of sweat forming on his hairline...

sydney shakes his head. what the hell is he thinking? he's with niko. sure, niko has always had two partners, and syd's fine with that, but for him to do it? he still has hangups. that doesn't stop the sexual tension from building, though. whitney catches sydney staring at him, and finds himself to be more flustered than disgusted. it's a week full of offhand smiles that they're quick to hide and touches that linger a little too long to be strictly friendly.

then, at the end of the week, none other than nikolaj kaminski rides into town on a beautiful gray horse carrying a bushel filled with onions and broccoli and flowers. he sets up a stall at the connudatus street markets, ignoring the passersby who whisper about him, their snide comments about his past floating in the wind. whitney's cruising the alleys when he spots a familiar head of strawberry blond hair. he storms up to the stand. niko smiles when he sees whitney and starts to say hello, but whitney grabs him and drags him to the temple.

cut to fifteen minutes later, and whitney, sydney, and niko are sitting in the garden behind the temple. sydney and whitney look like they haven't slept in a week. meanwhile, niko is glowing. he's sunkissed, tanned and toned, his blue eyes sparkling bright under the midday sun. sydney spends about five minutes hugging niko and making him promise that he'll never disappear on them again. it's plural, too- "promise me you'll never disappear on us again"- which throws whitney for a loop, although not an unpleasant one. niko makes a passing comment about how overgrown the garden is. then, he starts talking about his time on the farm. he gets a blissful look on his face as he describes his life there. it's not idyllic- niko describes this remy character, who sounds like somoeone that whit would love to beat up- but it's peaceful.

"you expect us to believe you're not just stayin' there because you found someone to fuck you, slut?" whitney jokes. but, rather than laugh at the joke and tut at him like niko usually does, niko goes quiet and his face turns red. this is how the topic of alex comes up. niko's hesitant to explain, but eventually starts talking about how he and alex are in a relationship now. a tiny smile crosses his face. it's the smile that, until now, sydney knows has only been reserved for him and whitney. sydney can read niko like an open book. if alex can draw that smile out of niko, then he must be an alright guy.

sydney's cool with it- he's chill with niko having multiple partners, although he can't deny the ache that rises inside him, wishing he could have something like that. whitney, however, is a bit less easy to convince. he still hasn't fully accepted the fact that both he and syd are niko's boyfriends (even if he wants to fuck syd senseless), and now niko has this fucking farm boy!?

niko looks between his boyfriends and swallows. "i-i really think you guys would like him," he says quietly.

whitney snorts. "i doubt that very much." sydney elbows him in the ribs. but whitney can't deny that he's curious about this alex guy. it takes some cajoling, but eventually niko's able to convince whitney and sydney to visit the farm so they can met alex. the ride there is turbulent, with sydney and whitney hanging on for dear life as niko effortlessly maneuvers the horse, but once they arrive at the farm things... fall into place.

alex runs up to greet them. niko introduces sydney and whitney as his boyfriends, and alex reacts surprisingly calmly. alex and syd hit it off immediately, falling into easy, excited conversation as alex shows him around the farm. whitney, however, hangs back. he's immediately attracted to alex, so part of his hesitation is due to him having to hide his boner, but his personality is just so nice and affable and genuine. whitney's only ever talked to people who are faking it. here, on the farm, it's like everyone becomes their real selves. sydney is the least anxious that anyone's ever seen him, and niko laughs like the worst parts of his past don't weigh on him at all. whitney, too, can feel a desire building within him. a desire to stay.

they eat dinner, then go out on the porch of the small farmhouse at sunset. alex, sydney, and whitney are so lost in conversation that they barely notice that niko's gone inside until he returns. he's holding something behind his back. when whitney points this out, niko starts to cry and holds out a positive pregnancy test.

the three other men are stunned. niko wipes his eyes. he explains that the baby biologically belongs to alex, but he wants whitney and sydney to stay. he wants them to be dads, too. "i can't imagine a future without any of the three of you," he whispers, and it's clear that he means it.

so, that's how they all move in together. it's only a few days until whitney and sydney finally admit their feelings for each other and begin a relationship. it takes a bit longer for the relationships with alex to cultivate, but they inevitably do. sydney and alex's romance is sweet- easy, like everything between them. it takes longer for whitney and alex, as everything does. but eventually whitney lets himself fall. he also bottoms for the first time. which he enjoys, surprisingly. alex grew up in a house with 12 kids, but he's never felt surrounded by so much love as he does right now.

and, of course, niko's the happiest he's ever been!! he has his lovers, he has the baby growing inside him. he has the love he's always wanted but never quite been afforded, and that's plenty for him :)

okay. here's the polycule's kids. see if you can guess who fathered which child (challenge level: impossible)

grace

alex's biological kid, obviously. she is the oldest kid, and the kid niko is pregnant with at the end of this. she is born on august 3rd, when niko is 19. she's a leo! grace is very confident and brash, and completely unafraid to voice her opinion. she has alex's strength, niko's scrappiness, whitney's boldness, and sydney's sharp tongue. grace loves her life, she loves living at the farm, and she loves her family. she's pretty hesitant to go to school, although she's very extroverted and friendly. she just likes being at the farm better :( is that so wrong??? anyways grace is veeery kind and will always stand up to bullies, ESPECIALLY if it's her younger siblings getting bullied (particularly isaiah, but that's just bc nobody's gonna bully maisie). grace likes playing with the farm animals, painting, and soccer (sorry im american... that's football for all you international freaks /affectionate)

isaiah

sydney's biological kid. inherited his dogshit vision. he is the second kid. he is born on march 16th, when niko is 20. he's a pisces. isaiah is kind of like sydney if he wasn't steeped in religious guilt from a young age. he's a very sweet kid. very introverted, of course. gets picked on a lot at school, which inevitably leads to grace getting into fights on his behalf. isaiah is also a total snugglebug!!! very physically affectionate kid. isaiah likes reading, listening to music, picking flowers, and he is trying to learn how to embroider but it is very complicated so he's sticking to needlefelting for the time being. he does not like loud noises. he does not like sports that much but grace is desperate to teach him soccer, and they have fun!

maisie

whitney's biological kid. the third (and final) child. she is born on february 12th, when niko is 24. she's an aquarius. fun fact: the "bad end" (not actually an ending, just traumatic shit) happens when niko is pregnant with her, so it's a very turbulent time. more on that later!!!! grace and isaiah were pretty damn traumatized by all that but maisie was still in utero so she was the only child who escaped unscathed. anyways, she was born a little early but despite all the crap niko dealt with while pregnant with her she is a very normal and healthy child. she's very bold, very brash, and has hard opinions on pretty much everything (whitney's kid through and through lmao). maisie likes to play dress-up, chase the animals, and go into town to shop and play at the playground. probably the only person in this family who likes the town but whatever she's two years old
