Queer Lily Pond - a lily pond lit by fireflies themed to the colors of the nine-stripe queer flag. My original art, please credit me if you re-use.
[Image description: a digital painting of part of lily pond seen from above in a dark night. It’s lit by orange fireflies in little globes of warm light. It lights up murky blue waters and four different light green lily pads. On each lily pad is a pink flower with layers of sharp leaves, with highlights of white where the light hits it. One lily pad has another very small flower in the same colors. The flowers and pads are dotted with droplets of blue waters shining in the light. Outside of the soft lights from the fireflies, the painting disappears into blackness. It’s themed to the light green, light orange, light pink, dark pink, blue, light blue, white, and black of the nine-striped queer flag. End description.]

The existing pool. Water can make an attractive transition between garden and countryside. Here the detailing of the pond is natural, with boulders used to make an informal surround.
