A really fun part of watching The Dirties with the full crew commentary is that for the first hour of the movie they all roast Owen at different points and then you hear a faint knock on the door, a "hey Owen come in" from Matt, and then from that point on they're all buddy-buddy with him

Sweet Sacrifice is now out!
13 page comic + cover + letter from me. Mildly NSFW. Only available through my Patreon and Gumroad. (On Patreon it is only available through the Everything Bagel tier. Blueberry bagel tier does not have access to NSFW works.)
This was a huge challenge to undertake and as an amateur comic-maker, I'm pretty satisfied with it!
Synopsis: An evil and mysterious beast has tormented a small and remote village for months. Desperate, they take their most virtuous maiden and leave her outside the village in a cry for mercy, hoping the offering will please the creature.
The maiden waits for the beast to come and seal her fate--and is found by a stranger with a sinister secret, instead. Can he help her? Will the beast find them? Or will the maiden be forced to rely on herself to avoid a worse fate?
Note that this is also available on my Gumroad for a flat and slightly higher price. I want to be fair to patrons by not reflecting the Gumroad price here since this is subscription-based. Any funds from the comic will go to new software and resources to keep improving the quality of my stuff moving forward. I use Procreate only for all my digital art, but I would like to try my hand at using Clip Studio Paint's comic resources/program, since it seems more specialized than Procreate.
You'll note that I don't include Draco nor Hermione's names in the comic. This is intentional, as this story is separate from the fanfic and I want to develop it into something more original and not based on the world/lore of Harry Potter. You can of course read the comic and consider them as Draco and Hermione, but my intention is to give them new names moving forward (only in the comic, of course) to keep it separate from the fanfic though it is of course heavily inspired.
Please let me know what you think! Or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to comment or message me. I would love feedback on this if you read it. I mentioned before that I'd love to continue this and make a second chapter and more to keep unfolding the story. The second chapter would be heavily NSFW and would probably take me another couple months to make, just like this one and Porg Confessional did. If you enjoyed this or anything else you find in my Patreon archive, consider staying as a Patron. Your support would help me to continue making these projects. If there is no interest for this then I'll move on to something else--I would love to tackle also making some brief comics for HLB, as well, but keeping them faithful to the fics.
Read more here.
That's all for now--it's been a very busy few months and my wrists need a rest. Thanks so much for checking this out!

Least favorite is definitely my all time nemesis from Jedi fallen order. These bastards always rushed me at the most perfectly annoying times

I also hate porgs. Idk something about porg faces make me deeply uncomfortable, I think it’s their pale disgusting lips.
Tumblr media
My favorite is the knobby white spider! I’m a rebels fan so those spiders are special little creatures to me but the original concept art and legends lore for the swamp based ones from dagobah is really what enchants me.
These guys basically transform into the trees found all over dagobah! I just think that’s really cool.
I also really like the Vexis which is that big snake from tros.

Porg-tober Day 25 - Ben's Story (Double Feature)
Ben’s life, growing up, was not the best. One day, fed up with it all, he decided he'd strike off on his own...And then much later on, thanks to the help of a certain brown porg, he came back.
PLEASE DO NOT REPOST! REBLOG ONLY!
Poems under the cut:
There’s more you should know about Ben. He was not a good porg, back then. He thought he was right, To harbor some spite, For his family, his ideas misshapen.
Now one day he realized how wrong-- --he was, he’d thought he’d been strong. He missed his dear father, He spoke with his mother, He and Luke will soon get along.

tbh i should rewatch tfa and tlj b/c i havent seen them since when they came out.
but just know i headcanon that when luke first arrived to ahch-to he found a species with an endangeringly small population and decided to tend to them and feed them and protect them to help pass the time and make some meaning in his life here on this new planet. and he did it too well and they overpopulated the planet and now there are way too many and yes that species was the porgs.
luke is solely at fault for the irresponsibly large amount of porgs on this planet.

A'den anon here! I loved that little bit you did for him and his brothers 💙 theyre all just so chaotic and sweet. I love them. Maybe if you're feeling it/have time/interest maybe something for A'den again singing a duet with his s/o? The books tell us hes the only Null to sing for fun (and not just the vode an)
I’m so glad you liked it!! And absolutely, anything for my Null boys!
Sorry this took me forever to get written!!
Notes:  I have a headcanon that Mandalorians love Iron Maiden because they sing about history, folk lore, war and things like that. I love Maiden so I had a hard time finding a song, but I chose Blood Brothers. Comment what Maiden songs you think the Null boys would listen to!
Also, I clearly don’t own Iron Maiden, or the song lyrics in this song. I suggest you guys listen to them!! They’re not that heavy, and their music is fucking great. Highly suggest you listen to Blood Brothers while reading this.
Find the lyrics here!
Singing with A’den
“A’den what are you doing?” You questioned your boyfriend, who was sitting on the bed in his favorite comfy clothes scribbling on a holopad. “Huh?” He looked up, clearly too focused on his task to have paid attention to your words.
You smiled and crawled on the bed beside him, “I asked what you’re doing.” A’den smiled at you, “Oh. I’m just looking through some songs and such……….” You raised an eyebrow, wanting a better explanation.
He pulled you into his lap, showing you the lyrics to one of his favorite songs. The song had a deep meaning, but it was a good song he sang beautifully. The songs of this particular band hit a clone's heart hard. You’d often find all the Null’s playfully singing “Die with your boots on” before long missions. The clones never had to try hard to make you sad, your heart aching for them.
The song that A’den was showing you is a song called “Blood Brothers” which he’s been wanting to teach you for a while. “I've heard you sing this one some.” A’den nodded at your words, “Yeah…..But now I want you to sing it with me.” You smiled at your clone boyfriend, “I’d love to!!”
Within a day or two you had gotten the song down perfectly, singing it with A’den while you two cooked dinner two nights later. He hugged you from behind, the words leaving his soft lips.
(Not the beginning of the song)
“There are times when I feel I'm afraid for the world
There are times I'm ashamed of us all
When you're floating on all the emotion you feel
And reflecting the good and the bad
Will we ever know what the answer to life really is?
Can you really tell me what life is?
Maybe all the things that you know that are precious to you
Could be swept away by fate's own hand”
You leaned back against him, singing the words his clone brothers would sing if they were here.
 “We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers”
A’den pressed a kiss to your forehead, swaying you with him slightly.
“When you think that we've used all our chances
And the chance to make everything right
Keep on making the same old mistakes
Makes untipping the balance so easy
When we're living our lives on the edge
Say a prayer on the book of the dead”
His voice was beautiful, calming almost. You closed your eyes as you swayed, the chorus leaving your lips once again.
 “We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers
We're blood brothers”
You two sang the rest of the song together, your voices sounding perfect as they blended together. Once the song finished A’den grinned, spinning you around and pulling you into a passionate kiss. You giggled and hugged him, the happiness radiating off of you both.
A’den could hardly wait to teach you more of his favorite songs.

Sorry for coming to you with a rant but I just found out about porg after returning to the fandom and she makes my skin crawl. As a DMC fan and specifically someone that's fond of Dante, I notice that she's in some ways completely bastardizing the games.
From completely disregarding characterization to wild and even baseless assumptions while using slurs, I feel that no fix it fic for anything would change her mind because she wants a reason to hate DMC5. Do I like Vergil's characterization? Not completely. Do I like Dante's all the time? No. But I dont go off targeting people calling them slurs and trying to incite them to target me with racism (I'm a black fan of DMC). Hell, if anything; I do my own personal fics because I have trouble finding things for me. She has no excuse to be this way, considering that mental illness or not, it doesnt give you a right to do half of what she's done.
Vergil is a problematic character who should not be seen as infallible but to straight up go as far as she has just disgusts me. He isnt meant to be seen a good person because DMC5 and the material to go with it shows that the characters are imperfect. If she can stan Kylo Ren, who is FAR more problematic but can't stand to see people who like Vergil, maybe it's less about the plot or how they characterized him and it's more about how she feels that her love of "horror" and whatnot should hold more weight because she feels its dumb.
Vergil is a character where you have to observe him through the lens of what shaped and moulded him and understand that as a character, V was a glimpse into how Vergil really thinks and feels. Urizen is the side of him shaped in no small part by his time as Nelo Angelo, considering that Mundus raised the Qliphoth to also gain the power to rule over hell, as did more than likely Argosax. I can easily bet that both villains killed numerous humans for their goals.
Vergil as a character is a man who was horrifically traumatized as a child and never had help to get through it. He believed his family dead and that the only way to never feel the pain was to seek power, something he tried to do by challenging Mundus after the events of 3!
I'm sorry for the rant but I'm just half tempted to make an AO3 account just so I can make a dissertation on how Vergil as a character is a villain made from his circumstances and his lack of knowledge on how to properly function in a world where he feels that nothing and no one loved him because it hurts to see someone this loud and wrong over a character that while I like him, I'm no stan for.
Tl;Dr: Porg is a hypocrite and cant keep lore straight to save her life. Also I feel that she wouldn't be able to argue against my points for Vergil without devolving to calling me slurs.
She can have whatever dumbfuck opinion she wants on whatever she wants — no one listens to her, so honestly who gives an actual fuck about it. It’s just about getting attention for her, anyway lol. Like. None of this matters to her other than she likes being angry/feeling incensed and she likes the attention she obvs doesn’t get irl. And it ain’t about DMC5 — hasn’t been in ages. You’re literally doing exactly what she wants if you go argue with her.
Like. Why in the world do you think she’d come on to my main account, in front of a potential audience thousands of people, claiming she’d found a post about an entirely different video game when she was allegedly just searching the tags of a completely unrelated TV show and stumbled upon it... only to then get assmad and play victim because it backfired/she got made fun of/IP banned? Attention.

Update: I caved.
I’m a little worried by the low number of single-player missions, but my reasoning is thus:
-I’m guessing that these are long multi-part missions, based on the math? I did some mental math and estimated the total playtime for TIE Fighter’s original seven tours of duty at around ten hours.
-X Wing! And TIE Fighter! AT THE SAME TIME!
-HELL YEAH, I WANT TO GET TO KNOW MY SQUADMATES. I’ve had this vague idea ever since TIE Fighter that I want to be able to go to the nearest cantina between missions and hang out with all my squadron buddies, and this looks like it’s as close as I’m gonna get
-Am I going to try and decorate my cockpit with the cutest and dorkiest things I can find? Hell. Yes. I want enemies to laugh at the number of dad-joke laden bumper stickers and porg bobbleheads I’ve amassed, right before I make their ships explode
Things I’m still worried about:
-...That’s still not very many missions. Give me more missions. Give me all the missions. Among other things, I would not mind at all if you made a lot of the story beats from TIE Fighter canon again, because I think they’d be fun to examine from the other side as well (like, decent people having to work with Harkov, who was definitely not defecting to the rebellion for ideological reasons and whom no one can really trust)
-The lack of targeting screen amongst your fighter’s controls. The targeting systems look more lore-accurate this time around, but... I guess inspecting cargo isn’t a game mechanic anymore and I’m surprisingly downcast about that
-That the missions might be split between factions, so instead of 14 missions per track, we only get 7?
-It’s EA
-Possible Sims-level prices for additional content

2019: Top Ten Star Wars Media
Tumblr media
It’s hard to deny that 2019 was the biggest year for Star Wars in recent memory. With not only the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga released in The Rise of Skywalker, and the first ever live action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, but all other manner of books, comics, games, and shows, it was a busy year to be a fan of the Galaxy Far, Far Away. While this year’s big feature film may have been largely disappointing, there were still some great additions to the Star Wars legacy.
10. Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren
Tumblr media
Only one issue in and writer Charles Soule’s exploration of the start of the Kylo Ren tragedy is already shaping up to be another stellar addition to his already exceptional comics bibliography. While the Knights of Ren may have been little more than set dressing with cool designs in the films, Soule explores this deadly group of warriors as something of a self-destructive, nihilistic cult and gives them their own strange traditions and personality. Artist Will Sliney turns in career best work here with not only providing some great character design but also letting Ben Solo’s complicated facial expressions tell heartbreaking stories of their own. It’s complex and tragic reading that adds to the fascinating history of one of the most intriguing characters of the decade.
9. Star Wars Resistance
Tumblr media
It is undeniably uneven and at times aimless, but Star Wars’ third canon animated series is still filled with moments of joy, spectacle, and undeniably fun plot swerves. The playful sense of humor and stellar racing/aerial combat sequences remain a standout and the show is likely a colorful delight for younger viewers. However, what made Resistance such a standout in 2019 is the refreshingly complex character arc given to one of its central cast members, Tam Ryvora. Showrunner Justin Ridge and voice actress Suzie McGrath show how anger and fear can lead even good people into the sway of fascism and Tam’s complicated betrayal and murky moral future makes for some of the most mature storytelling that Star Wars animation has attempted.
8. Star Wars Adventures
Tumblr media
As always, IDW’s delightful Star Wars Adventures remains some of the most artistically dynamic and eclectic comics the franchises currently publishes. While always shooting for stories that can be enjoyed by Star Wars fans young and old, Adventures uses its anthology format to tell stories from across the entirety of the franchise canon featuring all manner of characters and letting different creative voices take a spin with the many toys offered. Whether it’s the creepy Halloween limited series Return to Vader’s Castle or seeing Chewbacca and a trusty Porg liberate the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, Adventures continues to offer a little something for all fans.
7. Star Wars Age of Rebellion
Tumblr media
While there were gems inside all three of Marvel’s yearlong Age Of… limited series, its highlight of the most classic of Star Wars eras was undoubtedly its strongest. Greg Pak and his team of collaborating visual artists delivered some outstanding one off stories for Luke, Leia, Tarkin, and others, but it was ultimately their stellar Boba Fett story that proved the highlight of the twenty seven issue run. A mostly wordless Western that opens up with the galaxy’s most infamous bounty hunter riding into town on a robotic horse, Pak and Marc Laming’s thrilling and understated character study was the best Star Wars comic of the year and arguably the best Boba Fett story of the decade.
6. Star Wars: Resistance Reborn
Tumblr media
Rebecca Roanhorse’s official prequel to The Rise of Skywalker proves to be a more satisfying experience than the movie that it ties into. Fans of Star Wars media are sure to find much to enjoy in this tale that not only bridges the eighth and ninth episodes of the saga but also provides a conclusion to all manner of media for the last decade. In an incredible balancing act, Roanhorse manages to tell a story of galactic rebellion and resolve while roping in characters from Star Wars Battlefront II, Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath trilogy, Claudia Gray’s Bloodline, Charles Soule’s Poe Dameron comic, and more. The result is a satisfying and thrilling read that rewards longterm readership while remaining a fun and consequential story in its own right.
5. Star Wars: Master and Apprentice
Tumblr media
2019 was the twentieth anniversary of The Phantom Menace (holy crap) and while the film still remains a largely derided part of Star Wars history, Claudia Gray’s Qui-Gon Jinn centric prequel will happily enjoy a more positive legacy. Exploring the complicated teacher/student dynamic between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master and Apprentice is an intriguing piece of courtly drama and conspiracy. Gray finds great dramatic fodder in the larger Jedi “family” formed by Qui-Gon and his own masters and former students and it makes for a fun character study amid some enjoyable dialogue centered prose. Gray is recognized by many as the strongest writer currently writing for Star Wars and Master and Apprentice is another fine addition to her repertoire.
4. Star Wars The Mandalorian
Tumblr media
Of all other Star Wars media, The Mandalorian was the one to take the world by storm in 2019. Even outside the fire in a pan cuteness success of Baby Yoda, showrunner Jon Favreau’s space western drama was a runaway success. Despite a midseason drag in pacing and quality, the first ever live action Star Wars series thrilled and won over fans the world over with its enjoyable ensemble, great production design, and some stellar direction. Deborah Chow became the first woman to direct a live action Star Wars project and in the process delivered two fantastic hours of television. Her spearheading of an upcoming Obi-Wan show could not be more exciting. However, it was Taika Waititi’s outstanding season finale that is sure to stick in fan’s minds as a yearly highlight. Season two could not come faster.
3. Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron
Tumblr media
Even with the Sequel Trilogy closing its doors last month, the next great Star Wars trilogy may have already begun in June. Alexander Freed draws inspiration from the cult favorite X-Wing novels of the 90’s to create a fantastically engaging military procedural set during the fall of the Empire and the rise of a new Republic. Without a doubt the most nuanced take of a galaxy in the final throes of wartime, Alphabet Squadron is an ensemble drama about a cast of characters finding their place in a new galaxy while coming to terms with their own trauma. Freed’s detailed and dutiful prose makes for a surprisingly engrossing read and some of the most powerful character writing to come out of a Star Wars novel in recent years. Thankfully the second installment arrives in less than six months!
2. Star Wars: Queen’s Shadow
Tumblr media
There are few characters in the Star Wars galaxy that were in more need of a storytelling makeover than Padme Amidala. While she began as a great female heroine in The Phantom Menace, Padme spent the latter two films of the prequel trilogy bogged down with a leaden romantic story and a borderline misogynistic death. Writer EK Johnston’s Queen’s Shadow is an unabashed love letter to the girl queen that won over a generation of female fans in 1999 and a surprisingly relevant character study of a young woman entering the political scene in a time of galactic change and upheaval. Johnston turns Padme into a complex and politically astute young leader that is forced to navigate her transition from planetary matriarch to senator while also facing a wave of galactic scandal and judgement. It’s hard not to feel that Queen’s Shadow is in conversation with our own country’s treatment of women leaders and acts just as much as a rallying cry for young readers as it does a fun character piece. Also, who would have expected Sabe, Padme’s chief handmaiden played by Kiera Knightley in the film, to be one of the most emotionally complex protagonists of the year?
1. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Tumblr media
It’s been well over a decade since players have been treated to a great Star Wars gaming experience. The last true single player Star Wars game was the woefully lackluster Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and fans have been clamoring for years for another chance to dive deep into an interactive story set in this rich fictional galaxy. Luckily, Respawn Entertainment have delivered just that in the fantastic Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Blending the exploration of Metroid Prime, the combat of Dark Souls, and the platforming set pieces of Uncharted with a fresh new Star Wars story, Fallen Order may not reinvent the wheel but what it does is present an entertaining and engrossing experience. Character progression and combat feel tailored to Jedi philosophy and exploring new, entirely optional, environments riddled with fascinating lore makes stepping into the interactive world Respawn has crafted rewarding and fun. However, it is the game’s story of the last remaining members of traditions that have been victims of cultural genocide that makes Fallen Order a success. Relatable and complex lead characters and even surprisingly sympathetic villains make this story a refreshingly emotional one and its high and lows are felt with a welcome dedication to theme and pathos.

sappy "i've loved my spesh for a year now" post
[[MORE]]
one year ago today, i got into twrp.
that's not to say i wasnt familiar with them before june 3rd, 2019. my big love was nsp, so i very much knew and appreciated them! i remember when nsp played on conan i was so happy for all of them and hoped twrp was getting just as much credit as nsp because they totally deserve it! i remember listening to guardians of the zone a couple years back in david's car and latching onto rock n roll best friends (my first favorite twrp song and still one of my faves!) and listening to that a lot. i remember the third starbomb album coming out last april and thinking, wow, this is definitely their best album musically because of twrp's instrumentation! and of course, like everyone else, i was obsessed with starlight brigade when the video came out, and recognized it was twrp's song featuring dan, not just a dan project. but i didn't have their names memorized, and for whatever reason, i thought they were all silent performers? like, i thought none of them talked and sung only talked/performed with talkbox. (i mean, i was like 60% right? at least at the time.)
on this day last year, i was showing my best friend arin and suzy's (gg) hot pepper gaming videos and then i noticed twrp's in the related videos. i was like oh my gosh! i didn't know twrp did one of these! and you can imagine my surprise when sung and meouch started talking fhfhdjdlfj i was literally like WAIT THEY TALK??? I REALLY THOUGHT NONE OF THEM TALKED. it's always really funny to look back on. and even though they spent most of that video suffering i thought they were so funny and likeable that i was like. maybe i should finally actually get into twrp.
and holy shit.
there's so much to twrp that i know i didn't do it all in a day. it's hard for me to get used to a band by listening to all their music once, so i took it album by album. i started with guardians of the zone, because i was already very familiar with it. listened to that on loop for a while, then moved onto together through time since it was their most recent album at the time. then, i went backwards from there.
i searched for all the lore i could. i read wiki pages, spent literal hours reading reddit AMAs, watched every video on their youtube channel and the hour long compilation of their instagram videos. this all took place over the span of like? a few days? a week? it's hard to say really. i fell so fast.
from that point on, i have so many stories, we would be here all day. i remember listening to believe in your dreams on repeat the day i became a d*sney trainer, and the literal day after that, they released hidden potential. then of course, the release of return to wherever, which i listened to nonstop for ages. the album is my jam because i love albums with a cohesive theme and songs that blend into each other. it's hard to beat together through time, but rtw comes really close.
i saw them for the first time live on july 30th, 2019. unfortunately, something happened that night that changed my life for the worse. but that wasn't twrp's fault at all. the show itself was incredible. i'd never been to a general admission concert of one of my faves, it was absolutely surreal that they were all right in front of me. and of course, they put on a hell of a show. they always do. god, i love them.
on august 9th 2019, i went to my first sung stream. it was a party stream and i'm on the east coast, so i stayed up until 3 AM to hear sung give me my first talkbox shoutout. i recorded it and still have the video. it made me smile in the early part of a very dark time in my life.
i made a lot of friends in that stream, we all shared twitters and i'm still friends/mutuals with all of them! and i've only made more friends since, especially at nsp10. nsp10 was incredible for many reasons, but a big one was that the three hours my fiancé and i were waiting outside the venue to be let in, we were just walking around saying hi to my twrp friends, meeting a bunch of them for the first time. and i made new friends! i remember standing in a group, shivering in my heart boner cosplay, and one of the guys saying "you're artie, right? i follow you on twitter, i love your cosplay!" he seemed like he was really gathering the courage to say it to me, he had no idea how happy it would make me! (shoutout to logan! you're awesome!)
really, if any of my twrp friends are reading this, i love you to pieces. meeting you has definitely been a high point of the last 365 days.
again, i have so many stories. but since this is already so long i'm just gonna cut to march 5th, 2020. that was the night i met them. now, i'm not a shy person at all, and over the past few years i haven't really been very socially anxious. i'm able to carry myself in conversation, even with strangers. but i've never met a fave before. let alone four faves at once. so, naturally, everything i had planned on saying completely left my brain. but they're literally the best, so it was still an absolute dream. the first thing sung said when he saw me was "hey you look great!" (my outfit was clearly inspired by his own, fancy orange hat and all, so he probs wanted to Respect The Drip but he was right regardless and also HOLY SHIT) and i had my baby porg gary with me (the sunshine of my life) and they all interacted with him and it was super wholesome.
they played two nights in orlando, and i went to both shows because of course i did. first night was great, second night was even better even though that was my GA show. they played life party on night 2, which might as well be my favorite song of all time. it has carried me through every bad moment since i first heard it. big and small. i have a lyric from it tattoo'd on my arm as a constant reminder that i'm alive, and that is something to be ecstatic about. i also had more room to dance and move around on night 2, and dance and move around i did. then, when the show was over and scatman played, i got out everything else i had. august-november 2019 was actual hell for me, and i was still dealing with the aftermath of it all. but that concert high made me realize, holy shit! all of it is over! it doesn't matter anymore! twrp carried me through one of the roughest periods of my life, and met me at the finish line with a fucking gold medal. i fucking did it. now i have none of the bad, and all of the good. it was one of the best feelings i've ever had, and one of the happiest nights of my life.
since then, twrp continues to keep me going. of course the world has been a total shitshow, but everyone's streams (especially the twrp show) have been the highlight of my week every week.
i've always considered myself a very positive person, but last year was a very bad year for my depression, as well as traumatic at times. and i've always had problems feeling understood. i still do. but twrp said hey! literally nobody understands us. not even ourselves! but that's okay! we want you to be happy and feel loved and supported no matter what. and i really can't thank them enough for it.
this part is mostly for another longer post, but i wanted to mention it since it's also really important. i fully came to terms with being a mlm last year after years of compulsory heterosexuality, and twrp played a big part in me exploring and accepting that about myself. and i was already very secure in my gender identity when i found them, but hearing "this song goes out to all the ladies, fellas, and everyone in between" shook me to my very core. i've never loved a band that literally said "shoutout to trans/nb people" at every concert. god. i love them so fucking much.
so this was even longer than i expected (and i expected it to be long bc yknow. spesh.) but i just have so much love and gratitude for this band. every day of my life i'm so thankful that doctor sung, commander meouch, lord phobos, and havve hogan exist and are spreading all this love and positivity to their fans every day. i've never loved a band like this, and i probably never will. they are truly special.
and it's only been a year!!!!

This is why I’m torn yeah :) convor is LORE friendly but loth-cat is FRUMPKIN friendly

Porg is literally the only one in the fandom that doesn’t know how the story works, either she can’t play for crap and has to use easy-auto mode or she literally cannot read. The lore in the dmc series isn’t even that deep and when I first discovered it, it only took 1 hour to understand how it worked. Like can she actually read or what?
Don’t knock easy-auto mode. That’s absolutely my setting if I haven’t taken my adderrall. 😂
You’re treating porg like a DMC fan and not like she’s a.) an idiot and b.) only this far up her own ass because literally no one else is.
It’s not even the worst I’ve ever seen though, regarding missing the point with of a story/lore/etc. lmao. She’s practically tolerable by comparison rn.

Hoi! My first Reylo Fanfic!
Read it and tell me if it’s any good!
My first Reylo fanfic! It takes place in my AU about what would happen if all fictional characters lived together, and were aware of being fictional! (The AU is called the Samurai Wolf AU, because of the lore behind it) Worked hard on it, put lotta lore behind it, hope you’ll read it!

(Note: Answering this as a separate post because the censored individual is one of quite a few people that have either been hit up/linked to by porg and asked me for help dealing with her. And, while I don’t agree with their opinions at all, I’m not cool with potentially sending hate their way. I do not think badly of them as a person or anything, and really wouldn’t do that even if I did.)
Anyway!
I mean, this is porg we’re talking about — the same person who A.) has openly gone berserk over spardacest shipping and whatnot (which, yeah, that shit is g r o s s and makes my skin fucking crawl, totally, but it absolutely doesn’t condone death threats/misgendering/making fun of them for being a CSA survivor or anything else) and B.) had the hot take of “V and Urizen being Vergil makes no sense bc they’re all different heights”. Let that shit sink in lmao. Once again, we get knee deep into the hypocrisy: it’s fine if porg likes it and she’ll ignore everything as long as the person has an opinion that even halfway gels with hers.
But yeah. Idk. I personally can’t stand when people come up with really asinine ‘hot takes’ that very clearly show they haven’t even played the game/watched a playthrough/at least read spoilers/etc. I don’t think anyone has to or even should jump head first into lore like other people (including myself) do, and it’s completely fine to have interest in something because you find one character interesting or attractive or whatever (god knows I’d have never sat through RE5-6 if I wasn’t stupidly attracted to Chris Redfield lmao). It’s also fine to personally reject the canon and do to your own thing (I’m an unashamed lover of the old Time-Travel and/or Fix-It trope in more than one fandom).
But it’s completely obnoxious to try and stretch logic and come up with hot takes to ‘disprove’ the canon or ‘prove’ why the writing is bad. Vergil doesn’t have a sense of humor? Then please explain some of the shit he says to Dante and Nero (the party dialogue/‘time for the clown to bow out’ in DMC3, ‘where did you learn to count?’, terrible dad jokes during the Nero v. Vergil fight in DMC5, etc.). It’s really dry and even bordering on stale — ya know, kind of like V’s humor — but yeah. Sure. Like. Just say you didn’t like it and move on. I promise, it’s a reasonable conclusion. But talking out of your ass isn’t very sexy you, ya know?
Devil May Cry has been particularly baffling to me, especially as a long-time fan, because so many people seem fucking shocked it’s about one particular family, when it’s literally always been about the Sparda bloodline.
The funniest thing about this whole discourse to me, personally, is that everything leading up to DMC5 wasn’t some Hideo Kojima-esque subtle hint dropping, where only a few hardcore fans correctly deduced the plot twist/big reveal/switcharoo of MGSV because “Big Boss and Venom Snake’s eye colors and irises were slightly different” or whatever.
But in DMC5’s case — you had a character named ‘V’, that has another, more popular character whose name starts with V’s (canon, from DMC3SE) literature/bookworm tendencies, that uses ‘summoned canes’ which look just like a certain someone’s ‘summoned swords’, that even does the same signature hair flip, and the game is stylistically shown as DMCV and not not DMC5. So yeah. As far as I’m concerned, people just wanted to be willfully ignorant about the V thing. The writing was on the wall in fucking neon graffiti months ahead of time.
(I hope this makes sense, it got long and I started rambling. My bad. Lmao.)
