2024 Sims Resolution! The moment I learned about poseboxes, I knew I wanted to have a go at making them but it took years before I was even close to being able to figure it out. Last year I finally went for it and once I knew I COULD...made it a goal to make one a month! Not gonna lie...some of these took a little bit of my soul (hands, thumbs, two-sims just not jiving) and times when I wasn't sure I'd hit the 12 boxes goal but somehow I managed to make more! Shocked, amazed and grateful for the 5974 downloads (MTS+SFS) so far!!! :O Thanks to @ch4rmsing for support (tech and moral!) @veninorchid for the tutorial and empty box! @gummilutt for tips and support and @simmireen for ongoing inspiration with their own Sims4 posebox collection! Veridia: family portraits (2.0)

Some things have changed in Veridia since our introductory posts, some haven't, here's some new family portraits.

Norweni and Diseta basically speed-ran a relationship after a teensy weensy spirit-related mishap, and have moved into their own hall with their three children, Sun, Senovara, and Cinaéd, as well as their live-in nanny Enna (and Faun the dog and Lu the cat, of course).

Norweni has settled into family life quite nicely and continues to work to keep the village safe and prosperous. Diseta is contemplating whether any of their children will want to follow in her footsteps and take up blacksmithing.

Fial and Dinn did have a second child, Faro, though that seems to be the final baby the spirits will bless them with. They're also grandparents now! Their older son, Kinet, is now an adult and had Sabren with his fiancee, Aífe. The farm is doing quite well, because this is my chill household that I get to play when all the drama is done elsewhere.

Eisu and Xiang finally got rid of Elmet Eisu and Xiang have expanded their family, welcoming Jia (who is turning out to be a very active child and seems to be looking to follow in her father's footsteps and study the blade) and baby Xiuying.

Drustan has become a young man and is not quite sure yet what he wants out of life (maybe he should talk with Uncle Elmet about that), but has solid relationships with his friends and family to lean on. He also had a brief relationship (?) with Gytha Salter.

Mouse the cat, while not pictured, continues to be better than all of us.

Wulfric Salter has expanded his business and is looking to do even more now that his son is working with him. After a brief flirtation with Helenet, he met and married townie Brigid, and they recently welcomed baby Gwendolen. Brigid is, uhhhh… Brigid just got fined for fighting by Headwoman Norweni. That's Brigid.

Gytha is counting down the days until she can move out and start her apprenticeship, away from Brigid and her useless father. Glamaer is more content at home and has been thinking about marrying his sweetheart, Enna, when they come of age. (Whether they'll stay in the main Salter household or start their own when that happens is another question.)

Between hungry sheep and drought, Shep could not catch a damn break with that wheat, but she is NOT giving up on her homebrewing dreams. In the meantime, she tended her beehives, started dating townie Derelei (who has been subtly pushing her for more commitment, which Shep has absolutely not noticed at all), and began making and selling pottery. She has lots of big plans for the coming year and, at Norweni's suggestion, has recruited Gytha Salter to become her apprentice of sorts.

Helenet's work as midwife and herbalist is going well, she's tapped into her magic a little bit, and she's found love with both Elmet, whom she married, and Arturo. Elmet is much happier and has come to accept his lycanthropy; he's found that he is happiest when taking care of his friends and family. maybe next Helenet and Arturo can convince him to either shave or grow a real beard.

Angus has grown into his magical powers and is busy studying both magic and herbalism. He's also currently going steady with his childhood best friend, Gytha.

Arturo is still not a fairy. He is cursed in a different, much cooler and healthier way than he was before, and may or may not currently be pursued by some vengeful magical force.

Posebox 2.0 - Memory function for pose used

In 2024 I have really been getting into staging posed pictures to further enhance my stories and enjoyment of the game, thanks to inspiration and teachings by the wonderful Rachums on twitch. I enjoy it, but one of my struggles is the fact that I have very severe brain fog and remembering what the heck I used to undo it is a challenge. So I thought I'd bring my bhav-savvy, and celebrate the 20th anniversary by giving poseboxes a little quality of life addition! :)

Which is how I landed on this creation, which adds support for the posebox to remember what pose you last used.

Unfortunately I can't automatically apply it to existing poseboxes, but I can provide a base for posebox creators to use and start adding this functionality to new boxes! :) That is the creation I have for you today. It is based on the VeninOrchid base provided in the Shenanigans workshop on pose creation, but a separate clone with new guid, and my new code added. I have included creator resources (images and a video) of what is different when adding poses to this base.

I hope to in future also post a video on how to apply this code to already created poseboxes, for creators who would like to do it, but find it overly tedious to re-do the posebox from scratch (which yeah, that would suck!). And perhaps for simpe-comfortable posebox users to edit their favorite boxes if the original creator doesn't want to themselves :)

Hello everyone, missed me?

Well, let's just say that I may have made a new posebox, but I'm facing an issue. I have some poses where the sim can walk mid-pose and it's not supposed to. I tried to search online but found nothing, it's like as if I'm the only one who had this issue. I'm testing it on a completely Maxis sim but I don't think that's the problem since a few poses work just fine :(

If someone knows how to fix it, I would love it, I need to finish this posebox, it's been on process for too long.
