Yesterday I walked one of my dogs with my husband taking the other for a mile-long walk around the neighborhood. I was in so much pain when i was done and this morning i felt like i had just completed a Beast the day before. To make things worse, my doctor informed me this morning that best case scenario, I can begin training again at the end of June, but realistically, he thinks it’ll be some time in August! He’s concerned what the mile walk did to me when I’m capable of normally doing so many more. This is not what I wanted to hear at all! There goes a good part of my race season and time taking the pups out for some excursions this summer. I know I will come back and I’ll come back stronger, but it’s so hard to see this and remain positive through the fog I’m feeling right now. I just want to feel normal again and be able to go in with my life pain free. Hoping that everyone is treating each other with love and respect because now is really not the time to be treating each other like crap or arguing over stupid shit. We don't know what this hurricane has in store for us and just because it's going more west, it doesn't mean that it can't still cause major damage. Love one another. Be good to one another. Now is the time more than ever to come together. For those of you who are not from Florida and are concerned for the safety of those who have decided to stay and not evacuate, please don't keep telling them to leave or go to a shelter. It is too risky to leave the state because of gas shortage and the amount of people that are still out on the road and shelters are all pretty much full. We are as safe as we possibly can be right where we are. Keep praying, keep sending positive vibes our way and we will continue to keep you posted. There is no room for negativity. Winds will be picking up in Miami this afternoon and my mother and I will be safe with the rest of the family until the storm has passed us.
