А есть фолк, более дворовая и романтическая версия кантри. Есть инди - их колбасит примерно из альтрока в дрим, гранж и так далее. А есть Heartland. То есть это тоже как и американский фолк, жанр основанный на кантри и блюзе, только с некоторыми другими идеями и вкраплениями. Допустим это можно назвать так: локальный рок из глубинки, рок "синих воротничков", только с налетом рок-н-ролла.
