Yugioh Gashapon Rings!

I forgot to upload this from last year (I believe)? I found these cool Yugioh rings at a Gatcha Machine, but I didn’t get the Duel Monsters one I wanted…but that’s okay the others were nice too! Just wanted to share, enjoy!

The lore of #asking for shark est to return to the sea trending worldwide --

So, William and Est are on a vacation in Phuket, getting a much deserved break and they had been sharing pictures and videos from the holiday. And normally when Est is on a vacation near sea, we get plenty of pictures of him in his "natural habitat".

However, William has been quite vocal about feeling possessive whenever Est posts shirtless pics. He had teased Est about it in their "My Ideal Fan" video.

Est also talked about how people are forgetting that he used to be a swimmer and that earlier he used to wear shirts with just two buttons buttoned up but now he wears t-shirts and does not show off anymore. He even posted his baby tee challenge on tiktok with the caption "(my) baby is possessive".

So, earlier this morning, William posted this picture where you could get only a glimpse of shirtless Est.

This prompted fans to start trending the hashtag asking Est to return to his natural habitat (i.e., indirectly asking William to let Est post shirtless pics). People basically started tweeting the hashtag with Est's previous shirtless vacation photos and asking for more.

William noticed the hashtag and tweeted this which encouraged Est to ask everyone to keep voicing out their opinion -

It trended #1 in Thailand and #5 Worldwide (while trending in 6 countries) with over a 110k tweets. P'Mui (screenwriter and director of ThamePo), Parbdee (the production company that worked on ThamePo), ICONSIAM, various news outlets, etc. also joined in -

It ended with Est finally posting his picture (after making a deal with William).

I got goth vibes and so does my AngelOC, Elodie. So it's funny to imagine this pink boy who is secretly an emo boy in disguise next to a wednesday addams esque babe lmao. Poor boy miscalculated, I like that there was an option to be like 'Oh I like that goth style' at the cafe.

But this raises a question! Would he drop the Ren persona and aesthetic if he realized it wasn't totally necessary?

⌞♥⌝ This has been answered multiple times in the past, but yes, he'd drop the light academia aesthetic if Angel wasn't into it! ^^

However, from a game dev standpoint, it'd be extremely difficult for me to include a bunch of types and aesthetics in hopes of making Ren's appearance feel more inclusive for everyone, so it's easier for me to say, "Oh, Angel likes this one anime character" and build the lore around that.

So, for those who like Ren's real appearance and would've preferred if he introduced himself as [REDACTED] (instead of his Haruko persona), I hear you!! ^^

But please understand that if that were the case, the 14DWY storyline would be a lot less interesting and would defeat the entire purpose of Ren's motives. A big part of his characterisation is that he's more than willing to alter every part of himself to become Angel's ideal type, and if their type happened to be [REDACTED], then it'd make the buildup to his reveal in Day ??? feel far less anticlimactic.

anyone ever think about how henry iv is straight-up lying to hal here. like he JUST lies. we know from richard ii (play; see fig. 3) that it was bolingbroke who hung out with the common people, bolingbroke who went out of his way to win the love of the broader population; in fact richard's speech about it mirrors the exact language hal uses to talk about ingratiating himself with random dudes in bars! (see fig. 4.) and it's not like shakespeare FORGOT this, because OTHER PEOPLE in the h4 plays also corroborate this information and note that nobody gave a fuck about richard because he only hung out with rich twinks (see fig. 2, i am paraphrasing). and yet bolingbroke-become-king-henry tells the story to hal as if richard was TOO in-touch with the people, not too isolated, and as if bolingbroke himself was the distant one, and he does this specifically so he can compare hal to richard and, unfavorably, to himself. and perhaps he can convince hal of this--it's not like hal was at his father's side for the usurpation. but you know who WAS THERE?? US! US, WE, THE AUDIENCE, WE WERE THERE! and he can lie to his son and put on airs but he can't conceal from everyone how much he's actively constructing and editing and revising his own kingship, compulsively, terrifiedly, grasping for a stable story that does the rhetorical work he wants it to. i see you, shitty old man. i know you. i also know the word you wanted to say in the skipping king line but i'll choose diplomacy

every few months this irenedamned fandom has a new discourse regarding a certain character which usually goes like this:

somebody posts an unusually aggressive negative confession about said character -> said character's stans frantically post pro-character confessions in defense of their fave -> said character's haters post EVEN MORE hatefessions in response to the defensive confessions -> said character's stans post EVEN MORE confessions defending their fave from new hatefessions -> repeat steps 3 and 4 periodically for a finite amount of time -> discourse eventually fizzles out after a few weeks or months & fandom moves on pretending like nothing ever happened

last year this happened with kim, right now it's happening with michi... in a few months, this dumb discourse will claim yet another victim. my personal prediction is katelyn LOL.
