KoTPoTA RP Idea: Zombie Apocalypse

Based on a dream I had (and further conversation with an anon!).

A new virus emerged decades ago but this one affects humans and apes. It’s origins are unknown but apes and intelligent humans all call it the same name: zombies.

They roam in hordes, rarely ever alone and are always hungry. They eat their victims alive…Tear them apart with their teeth…But that’s not the end of it. Anyone they eat turns into zombies themselves.

They are mindless killers that cannot be stopped, not with spears and arrows anyhow. In the coast, Proximus is desperate to open the vault as he believes it may hold the key to destroying the zombie threat once and for all.

Or, at the very least, better weapons for the apes to protect themselves.

As part of this goal, Proximus orders his followers to kidnap other ape clans. Believing he could protect them if they became his…Building his own kingdom in the process.

Mae understands this goal, but she still can’t let him get into the vault or take whatever’s inside it. It’s a choice between ending the zombie virus or saving what’s left of the human race.

Meanwhile, Noa is trapped between a rock and scary place. He never wanted to join the vary apes that killed his father and kidnapped his clan, but having never seen so many zombies before he doesn’t have much of a choice.

TLDR: Noa, Raka, Mae, Sylva and Lightning fight a zombie horde instead of encountering the humans at the lake and have to fight them before entering Proxy’s kingdom.

🦍 21+ looking for other 21+ writers interested in a planet of the apes plot. just saw kingdom of the pota and i am obsessed with the dynamic between noa and mae and am hoping to do a romantic plot with them, so therefore dead dove elements are expected.

i'm open to writing as either character! i prefer writing on discord, plotting on here. boundaries will be discussed beforehand. my style of writing is lit-novella, i tend to break the word count, but i am very flexible! like this and i'll be in touch.

OPEN RP | Muse: Noa

There hadn't been many problems, since rebuilding their clan. The seasonal rituals of those needing to bond with their eagle were still ongoing, and teachings given to the young. Noa was always learning, and especially now that he was the leader. He struggled day and night to make sure all was perfect, and fine. Yet, inside he was not okay. His dreams were plagued with thoughts of what he could've done differently. Of the lives that could have been saved, and his father's.

If only he were stronger, maybe. If only he had stood up to Proximus, instead of listening to what the other had said, instead of nearly giving up. These were the kind of thoughts that would wake him, and he'd go out to the forest to try and clear his head, humming quietly the tune of their clan. Noa paused to rest at the trunk of a massive tree, and try to just not think, his mind racing with thoughts of uncertainty. He did not know if the fall had taken Proximus, and that is what haunted him.

The large android paced his living room, the sound of his footsteps echoed through the house as he waited for the the food he panic-prepared to finish cooking. He stopped to stare at the window of his oven, eyeing the ham he had no idea how to cook properly. He didn't give himself the time required to read up on what seasoning to use or alternative methods of cooking. He had invited Kakarot over to his home to spend time with him and after he explained this to a friend, he was told that it sounded like a date. 16 didn't consider what was between himself and Kakarot very formal but if he had mistakenly asked him on a date then he had to at least try to make this work. Despite telling himself that he didn't care what Kakarot thought of him, he couldn't alleviate the sinking feeling in his chest that arose when he thought of somehow disappointing him. Android 16 exhaled a deep breath as he stepped away from the oven and waited for his date to arrive.

Y'know how Proximus wants to get into the vault and there are things like shotguns in there (guns with a LOT of kickback)

What if Lightning got his hands on a shotgun or rifle, shot at a zombie but because apes haven't used guns before they wouldn't know about the kickback.

So Lightning would be scared and confused put of his mind as the kickback knocks him right off of his horse and down into the mud.

Oh boy, you’re right! After Lightning falls, the zombies would no doubt take the opportunity to attack him but maybe Lightning is able to hit them with the gun(like a baseball bat)?

Or maybe Sylva does that? It doesn’t really matter, I’m just picturing a zombie getting hit in the head and their head gets knocked off (depending on if zombies can survive that, this would either be hilarious or more terrifying than it already was)!

Also, aren’t zombies typically strong? Like, inhumanly strong? I could be overthinking that but if so, than not even a gorilla like Sylva could fight them off for very long.

Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes OC: Athena! (reposted from my main blog; I forgot how I used to introduce my OC’s on here so I’m just jumping in lol)

Name: Athena

Age: Adult

Species: Bonobo

Sex: Female

Status: Alive

Family: Proximus Caesar (Former husband(forced marriage)), Farah, Orchid, Julia (daughters), Albus, Felix, and Arlo (sons)

Allies: Noa, Soona, Anaya, Dar, Raka (depends on use but also Sylva and Lightning)

Enemies: Proximus Caesar, humans (depends on use but also Mae)

Personality: Athena was Sylva and Lightning’s childhood friend but their friendship was purposefully destroyed by Proximus Caesar when he forced Athena to marry him and had her isolated from her friends. She attempted to escape once but was betrayed by Sylva and Lightning when she tried to convince them to come with her. She had six children with Proximus and while she loves all of them, she and her children fear and hate Proximus for all that he stands for.

By extension, Athena also hates Caesar’s teachings and is highly distrustful of humans-this is made worse later after Mae causes the explosion in front of the vault. She doesn’t hate humans, but she thinks they are inherently selfish and anything they do they do to benefit themselves.

She and Sylva and Lightning grew up together and were very close (much like Noa, Soona, and Anaya) so their betrayal by taking her back to Proximus after her escape attempt broke all trust and confidence she had in them. She was also deeply hurt and saddened to see how brutal Sylva became as Proximus’ follower and that Lightning went along with it. Despite this, she still cared about them and was heartbroken when they both died.

Athena later joins Eagle Clan with her children, happily throwing away all ties to Proximus’ kingdom for a new life. Ultimately, Athena just wants to be free and her children to live happy lives somewhere safe.

Edit cause I forgot!: Somewhere in the back of my mind, there’s an AU where Sylva and Lightning survived and left the coast for a new life with Athena and her children somewhere far away. Their friendship with Athena rekindled and restored and her children seeing Sylva and Lightning as their uncles.
