Elisio Casu swindled his way into the Mann Co. facility maintainance crew despite his more than lacking real portfolio; the Italian charm is unbeatable. Higher-ups caught wind of his constant mishaps and the mostly destructive, violent nature of them, and saw enough potential to recruit him for a trial month on the battlefield.

Freshly deployed with the Team, one of his new tasks was actually learning to repair and maintain electrical devices. The killing part he already had down, whether he liked it or not.

In time he will prove himself useful on and off the battlefield by disabling the power of entire enemy facilities, rewiring sentries to send electrical impulses that burn sappers to crisps, and of course housework like assisting The Sciency Bunch in various deranged experiments. Purely for educational purposes, of course. Nothing malicious ever brews in self proclaimed innovators' minds.

If he is successful, or even survives, remains to be seen.

“How far are you willing to go for the ones you love?” A monotonous question asked in the darkness of the abandoned hospital hallway which was long overgrown with vines and leaves decorating the walls like tapestry. Borderland hadn’t been at all kind to the buildings that lined the streets— most already corroded and on their last legs, barely held up by the bricks that seemed to wear away with each passing day. The world was slowly dying around them, just as the players were. There was something oddly poetic about that, as dark as it was. “Tell me.. would you be willing to die?” The deepened timbers of Chishiya’s voice cut through the silence again like a knife, a hint of a Cheshire Cat smirk peering out from the white hood that hung loosely over his head. And what was that clutched firmly in his hand? What looked to be a scalpel, dully illuminated by the pale moonlight coming from the cracks in the wall.

One could never be too safe, could they? Besides, a scalpel was a better weapon than having nothing at all and given his profession, Chishiya knew exactly how to use it with extreme precision when needed.

My silly character thoughts before bed are that I think it's kind of funny that I sort of imply that cambions can be these catastrophic characters, these world killers and god eaters. but Clark hasn't reached that point and probably never will because he's very stable to a degree. (and also hard to rp that power level lbfr)

he's very conscious of his limits of control and there's certain parts of himself that he refuses to touch on or practice because they could be so dangerous. and I compare him a lot to David from Legion as being sort of the antithesis to him. you know David is this super powerful but unstable. kind of a wildcard.

but at some point I think that sort of controlled character that's scared of pushing limits like Clark gets to be just as dangerous as the character that just doesn't have those boundaries or can't see them or can't stop at them like David. and I think that's kind of neat to think about. it's just one giant circle of dangerous and dangerous potential, even though they're two completely different character archetypes and different in how they approach their traumas n triggers etc.

It's common within her culture of witches to have flings (lasting a short time), one night stands, etc. Witches often reproduce this way, given they are less likely to have an actual partner and more-so find someone with interesting genetics to copulate with. It's very rare the other knows they are the parent as female witches typically disappear once the pregnancy is successful. Male witches have a bit trickier of a time, but that's a whole different subject.

For Mortem, it's not uncommon for her to seduce someone for a night or for a short time and then disappear. It comes naturally to her people to dip in and out of mingling with other beings, especially mortals. It has led to infatuation or stronger feelings from others, despite her effort to dip out before that threatens to occur. Alas, it isn't always within her control.

Having a genuine interest to get close to another and develop a lasting relationship isn't easy. Smaller instances can be, provided she finds the other entertaining. Given her age and experience, Mortem tends to get bored easily and often needs a strong hook to catch her attention. Even when she goes out for a fling to satisfy herself, it's not always a guarantee someone will be able to keep her interest.

Why catches her interest and keeps it can vary a lot. Mortem has her staples; ambition, power, possessing potential, be true to one's self, and generally having good chemistry. But the flavor of that person's everything can also make or break her interest, so really there's a bare minimum of a pattern.

However, these engagements are definitely more common than something deeper. As open and friendly as she is, she isn't known for letting others close. That's a combination of her own issues and then others either not understanding what she is or not living long enough to justify her investing in romantically. Her exile and isolation has made her very cautious when it comes to getting close to others who show an interest in doing so. And it's for those reasons and others not mentioned in this post that Mortem tends to be casual more often than not.

Not to say she doesn't want more, she craves it.

oh shit the party all. have definitely seen my monk's fucked up face and he can't hide it anymore. I don't know if he's really even aware of it atm, he tore his mask + cowl off in the heat of terror and desperation of thinking he and everyone else were gonna die
