I learned about Roberto Clemente while growing up in the 🇻🇮 Virgin Islands, but my knowledge of him grew when the family moved to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 in 1978.
Sadly, I never got to see him play, but needless to say, he was a great person that cared about people and used his talents and gifts to help others.
Clemente would have been 87-years-old on August 18th.
Mad ❤️ to Brian Lewis aka JEKS for painting this amazing mural in Great Brook Valley neighbor located in Worcester, MA.
Not only is it beautiful, but I’m confident that the residents love it and people from all over the world will visit Great Brook Valley just to see it!
Thank you Pow Wow Worcester and the great people that organize the annual festival!

Holy crap, what a week! Here's some pics of the *finished* mural that Josie Morway and I painted at the Worcester Art Museum as part of this year's POW WOW Worcester mural festival. This was my first ever mural and it was definitely a struggle at times, but big thanks to Josie for being a fantastic collaborator and partner in crime. We split the wall in half and worked side by side all week, so at any given point hopefully only one of us was kind of freaking out. Huge thanks to everyone at the Worcester Art Museum, who couldn't have been nicer, and to all the AMAZING artists who were in town for POW! WOW! this week. I made a lot of new friends and met a lot of artists I've long admired. If you're in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you check out all of the murals. Thanks, too to Halopigg for the awesome pics. And while I definitely need a break for my poor knees, I'd love to do another one of these sometime soon. Hopefully next time the learning curve won't be as steep 😮.
Aided by his winged sandals Hermes was able to move between the worlds of the gods and mortals and served as the emissary and messenger of the Greek gods. When Perseus was given the quest to bring Polydectes the head of Medusa he armed himself with several gifts from the gods and borrowed Hermes's sandals enabling him to fly. In 2017 Spanish art duo PichiAvo—masters at merging classical sculpture and contemporary urban art—were in Worcester, MA for the annual Pow!Wow! festival and painted this depiction of Perseus wearing Hermes' sandals. This mural is one of several painted by festival participants at the Sever Street Apartments. @pichiavo/ @powwowworcester/

Sticky Monster Lab is a multidisciplinary creative studio founded in 2007. They produce short animations that contain everyday stories in the monster world by reflecting our own reality. The studio has successfully collaborated with global corporations such as CJ, Daewoo Engineering and Construction, Nike, Nissan, among others. At first glance, the monster character appears to look cute but after further observation the figure shows a dark side of reality.
