Overwhelming, generally. An ache in my chest that hurts in fondness. The knowledge that I care so deeply and so much for that person and I can’t stop smiling around them. Warm, really really warm. Honestly it sort of comes out of nowhere at the randomest of moments and the person could be doing the tiniest of things and I just have to stop and think wow, I really love this person.

sage: if you could give someone one piece of life advice, what would it be?

Don’t let your mental illness rule your life. I know it’s hard and not as easy as it sounds, but you will honestly look back years later and wonder why you never took so and so opportunity or regret it. My anxiety and depression has held me back from a lot.

Also, do your schoolwork. Don’t let yourself get in the way of achieving academically.

I want a bed with a canopy! I always have, they’re so romantic. Plants everywhere, too many stuffed animals to name. Art all over the walls, wood dressers and a vanity. A large bed with floral sheets and a view out my window of a garden.

Cleaning & Cleansing

I don't hear much about this or at least not often enough. But cleaning and cleansing most certainly go hand in hand. The more I've come to realize this the stronger my urge to tidy and to organize is. It started to not matter how much I burned my sage or incense, rung my bell or had running water features trickling, even the grandfather clock's ticking was no longer soothing. My house still felt heavy, suffocating even. It was only when I took the time to start decluttering that I could feel the energy flowing again. It's still a long way to go, but it's a start and I plan to continue tidying and organizing until it feels peaceful again. Witchcraft is incredibly powerful but sometimes it's the most practical things that help us along on our journey.

syringe: someone you trust with everything: My siblings, especially my sisters. They’re very supportive and although judgemental, it’s in a nice, we want the best for you kind of way. And my best friend from college.

plush: your favorite childhood toy: Probably Legos. I really like making things and we had a huge tote of Legos that we’d just dump and spread out all over the floor. It was fantastic.

velvet: your favorite era for fashion and aesthetics: Does steampunk count? I like the look of Victorian Era type stuff, but I wouldn’t actually want to wear it. If we’re talking fashion I’d actually like to wear, then shorts and a t-shirt, I have no fashion. I do tend to wear a lot of cool colors. As my little sis told me just yesterday “You don’t have style.”

Earlier watching a cute animal rescue video.

That used to be a hard NO but this year my IUD comes out and spouse and I will be having that talk. Idk, I've softened up a bit about the idea but I think I could still be happy living my life with no babies of my own.

4. What's the first thing I notice about other people? Hair and faces, most of the time.

Happy endings, for sure

I can get along with almost anyone

8. How tall are you?

Pretty close to 6ft. It's all in what shoes I'm wearing today.

In school was music, English, history, and writing. Nowadays its history and the occult and mythology so....not a lot has changed.

10. Dream Job

Give me a bakery to run and I'll give you stellar coffee, delightfully sweet and light pastries, and bread so good you'll want to slap your ancestors but know better than to piss them off.

Nope, but there is a boat named after ME! I’m the original!!😁

When was the last time you cried?

In all honesty, I tried to make this post last night and it takes me FOREVER to make these, and I got to question 11 and I had been at it for like 30 minutes, and everything erased all at once…yeah, definitely cried.

Do you want kids?

Yes! I’m not looking forward to being pregnant or anything, but I TOTALLY want a tiny human! THEY ARE THE CUTEST THING EVER!!

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Eh…sometimes, I guess average, it also depends on who I’m talking to.

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Probably what they are doing and who is introducing me to them or vouching for them. I am immediately trying to find out what kind of person they are, cause I can’t make a proper judgment without enough information.

What’s your eye color?

Blue or green? It honestly changes with what I’m wearing, so I don’t really know.

Scary movie or happy ending?

I love happy endings! I’m ok with sad ones too but only with good reason or a good point they are trying to make. I more read horror or scary things, I don’t have much experience with scary movies

Special Talents:

I am really good at accents and voices for some reason, I also can remember quotes and song lyrics, like, crazy well! (It freaks people out😜)

Where were you born?

New Jersey, on the Jersey shore, but a week into my life, mom moved us to Maryland, to where we live now!

What are your hobbies?

Reading, writing, music, Trombone, friends, fam…and basically anything that makes me happy…or bright and colorful😁.

Do you have any pets?

Yup! I have an English Mastiff named Rory. She is my sister and I love her💕!

What sports do you play?

I am currently taking a break from it cause of school, but I am a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do!

Favorite Food?

The yellow curry at my favorite Hawaiian restaurant is my favorite entree, and my favorite dessert is fried dough.

Favorite drink?

Oh man, i can't choose. Mix equal parts iced tea, lemonade, and either lemon-lime soda or ginger ale for my first favorite. My second favorite is guava juice.

Favorite clothing?

I got some really cute sweaters this year, but I think my favorite has to be this pair of ultra soft jeans I got. They're so nice and comfy I can sleep in them.

Favorite product?

It's a pretty large product, but my favorite object I got this year was my new rat cage. I got it in January and it's huge and awesome. It's a Prevue Hendryx Feisty Ferret Cage. Other than that, my favorite objects are my Oracle and tarot cards.

Favorite month?

This is a hard one... January was pretty awesome, because I got my favorite pet Darcy the rat and raised her from a baby... May had my birthday, so that was pretty cool... In August I moved into my new house and saw wild mustangs in Nevada. I really had a great year. I guess I'll say August, because it was when I moved out.

Favorite season?

Autumn is the best! Sure, Spring is great, but Autumn is the best!

Favorite holiday?

I love Christmas the best this year. It's been really fun seeing my family.

Favorite place?

I went on two trips to California this year, and they were both amazing. I caught and released many lizards, so I would say that Scripps College in California is my favourite place I went this year.

Best experience?

Raising Darcy from a baby. I love her so much and I'm so glad I took her in. Her mom stopped feeding her because she's a runt, but we brought her home and she thrived. It has been an honor to watch her grow.

Best song?

I don't really listen to current music or the radio, but what i did listen to this year was songs by The Weakerthans, Panic! At the Disco, and Death Cab for Cutie.

Best movie?

Black Panther, I think. It was an amazing and beautiful movie.

Best series?

Book or show? If book, I read The Raven Cycle this year and loved it. If tv, then my favorite show series from this year is Aico Incarnation on Netflix. I like the ending.

Best book?

I really enjoyed reading Cat Daddy by Jackson Galaxy this year. It made me cry, but in a good way.

Best video game?

I played Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild this year and it was pretty awesome. I also really enjoy Animal Crossing: New Leaf though that's a bit older.

Have you unlearned any bad habits?

I unlearned my habit of taking in dying animals. It had turned into basically a method of self-harm and I'm not down for that anymore.

Biggest disappointment?

I disappointed myself by having to give up some animals after I couldn't take care of them well enough due to my chronic illness. I'm glad they have good homes now but I wish I could have taken better care of them.

Worst experience?

Having a friend move away and not being assertive enough to stay in touch. It sucked.

Any new hobbies?

Doll clothes making. I'm hoping to get good enough to sell them, but I'm not there yet. I had some fancy dolls laying around and realized I could use them as models to sell doll clothes made from fabric scraps.

Did you achieve your goals for 2018?

Not most of them, but a few yeah. I'm happy with some of the progress I've made.

Have you fulfilled a long term wish?

I saw wild mustangs, and moved out of my mom's house, and graduated high school! I fulfilled several long term wishes!

Have you tried something new this year?

Tried making doll clothes, tried raising a rat from when it was young, tried being somewhat independent. Yes!

What plans and wishes do you have for next year?

I want to get better at managing my chronic illness and pain, I want to get kittens, I want to get a big cool fish tank and I want to get better at making things.

What was the funniest moment?

I do not remember any particular moment because this year was funny many times. But I can tell you a joke though! It was my first joke as a child. What lives under the ground and on your face? A mole! It's a stupid joke but I'm proud of tiny me for thinking of it.

What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for my beautiful family, including my pets. I'm thankful for my friends, who keep me going no matter what. I'm thankful for lots of food, and a good life for myself and the ones I care for. This life has been a blessing, and I'm thankful that I get to experience it with everyone. Thank you.
