The Big Bang Theory plot holes and inconsistencies that annoy me:
(don’t get me wrong: I love that show, I must’ve watched it a thousand times, I’m even watching it right now, writing this post—but because I watched it so many times I had to notice some things):
Sheldon swears at the beginning of the show. Then he claims he doesn’t swear ever and you can bet your sweet “b” on it, because he wouldn’t even say “a”
Sheldon has asthma that gets magically transferred into Leonard.
Raj states randomly that he’s dating a “deaf chick”, so that’s no problem he can’t talk to women. When later Penny introduces him to her friend Emily he has no idea how to react and behave and can’t even communicate with her.
Amy starts as a sex and romance negative person and a season later she’s suddenly hyper sexual.
Howard’s dad abandoned him and his mother some time ago—yet in the first season Howard states that never talking and staying drunk during the relationship “worked for his parents”.
Stuart’s name and Penny’s dad name change through the show—Wyatt was a Bob before and the comic book store was Larry’s.
Leonard had a girlfriend/girl he dated that’s mentioned once and never again—while talking to Penny, Sheldon says that Leonard dated a french woman who had a PhD in french literature, and yet she never comes up when Leonard’s love life is discussed.
Penny gets a job as a pharmaceuticals sales person and even gets promoted even though she hasn’t even graduated from community college—she takes some classes but there is no mention of her graduating, she only got the job because the interviewer was afraid of Bernadette.
Amy and Howard have things in common and have fun together in one episode and don’t have anything to talk about and behave awkwardly towards each other in the next one.
Doctor Gablehauser suddenly disappears and gets transformed into President Siebert.
Howard doesn’t know why the elevator is broken and tries to fix it even though we later find out that he was present when the elevator broke down.
Neither Beverly Hofstadter nor Sheldon’s Meemaw attend Shamy’s wedding and nobody bothers to explain why.
Penny has a sister who doesn’t attend her fake wedding with Leonard. Leonard’s siblings and their families do not attend either.
Sheldon is really happy for Raj after he finally slept with Emily and congratulates him even though just an episode earlier he told him to “stick to his guns, because there’ll be a lot of pressure [to have intercourse].

Hell no we are not letting this OFMD finale distract from that THIS LETTER.
Tumblr media
Had a signature from Taika Waititi. I understand the sensitivity here this issue with Taika being Jewish(and that’s not my place as someone that’s Not Jewish or in those regions to condemn him on that perspective’s behalf) but this letter is directly bastardizing the situation.
Now, when there is a major production from a major figure in this platform that did this, is when we can make the most impact. Remember our values, even when those values involve a show that is strengthening the LGBTQ community.
Because this letter tore down the strength of the movement in support of Gaza. There are going to be so many people that saw this letter and take it completely uncritically, unchallenged.
Standing up for our values means sacrificing our interests, holding accountable the things we enjoy.
And also. I don’t want to see ANYONE. Being fucking antisemitic or racist towards Taika here. That is never appropriate and absolutely inexcusable behavior. You should he ashamed if you think that’s okay even after Taika’s actions.

[Text of Letter]
October 23, 2023
Dear President Biden, We are heartened by Friday's release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan and by today's release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and
Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity. But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people,
including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death.
They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400
Israelis were slaughtered - women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded. Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group's founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized
by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza. We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this
moment, freedom for the hostages. We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian,
Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.
Sincerely,

She serves on the Spelman College Board of Trustees. She is widely recognized as one of the most powerful Blacks on Wall Street. She is a billionaire, a self-made Black woman and her name isn’t Oprah. Suzanne Shank is the CEO and Chairwoman of Siebert Cisneros Shank & Co., one of the largest Black owned investment banks in the country. Black Enterprise recently highlighted Shank’s company among its “BE 100s” list of America’s largest Black owned businesses. Shank is indeed a living legend, a woman we should all honor as a shero.
Among the many honors Shanks has received is the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award, given by the Madame C. Walker.
Muriel “Mickie” Siebert was the first woman to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. Shank met her in passing once at an event Siebert hosted at her home but some time later, in 1996, Siebert approached Shank and Napolean Brandford (also African American) about starting a new firm. From the beginning, Shank served as President and CEO, steadily guiding the firm’s growth. Shank steered the ship through the financial crisis and quietly built a net worth estimated at $3 billion. Many things factored into the success Shank has had. One thing is for sure, however — a Black woman rising to the heights she has must be utterly brilliant.

The Benefactor Factor — 4.15
Summary: A wealthy benefactor at the university makes Leonard consider how far he's willing to go in the name of science
1.) Okay, this is a minor point to this episode, but Raj has a well known love for Sandra Bullock. I need to know if they tried to get her for the finale instead of Sarah Michelle Geller. I honestly would have been okay with how bad they treated Raj if they had just gotten closure on that running joke.
2.) This seems to be the point where they stopped dealing with the Physics department head and started just dealing with President Siebert. Maybe they are too much to handle.
3.) Sheldon said you don’t want to wear a Star Trek uniform to the Texas State Fair. I was planning on going this year because one of my best friends is originally from Texas and misses it. I am pretty sure that’s getting delayed until next year now, but assuming I remember, I’m going to wear a damn Star Trek uniform just to spite Sheldon.
4.) I obviously love Sheldon and Amy living together, but the video chats were always so cute. I also, can’t believe how much fan fodder came from one throwaway line about Amy’s fundraising. I’ve personally written at least three stories about Faisal.
5.) Seibert was a fool to ask Sheldon show up to fundraisers. I imagine that even now that he’s a Nobel winners they only bring him out only when it’s absolutely necessary.
6.) I hate the idea of Leonard being used for his body. It kinda makes me sad watching it now.
