I just finished watching all the released episodes of the House of David series.

And I’ve fallen even deeper in love with Jonathan. The House of David version of Jonathan is absolutely insane… 😻

There's nothing more important than writing what you want to read. Don't worry about who will like your book. Don't worry about what market it can neatly fit into. Don't cut corners or blunt edges to satisfy an imaginary person who might dislike aspects of your art. It's yours. Treat it as a pure expression of your soul. Compromise is for cowards.

Nowadays when I have writer’s block, I freeze. When I was 11, it seems to me that I would break the fourth wall and keep going.

Hey writers, I’m dealing with an ethical dilemma. I’m wanting to create a country in my fictional world that has races of bipedal animals that act exactly like humans pretty much in the same way that my favorite video game (Eastshade) does, and was wanting to use some of the same animals. Is this plagiarism? I’m using other animals as well.

Lately whenever I try to come up with ideas for my books, the process in my mind just seems to play out like the “creative” episode of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.

I’ve realized that all of my ideas come from a council of goblins in my head. Most of them work well together, except for this one guy named Roger. All he wants to do is come up with ideas that will disturb my readers. You’d think I’d fire him, but I think he might be my employee of the month.

I want/need to work on my novel and all things related to it, but all my brain seems capable of right now is having NSFW thoughts about my celebrity crush. There has to be a way that I can use this to my advantage…

I do both. Sometimes it’s fun, and sometimes I question my life choices and can be found daintily weeping at 4 am on a weeknight.
